Very informative! Wish you had discussed hurricane windows. I’m building in an area that is prone to weather and we’re putting hurricane/impact windows in the home. Wicked expensive!….but hope they are worth it
Excellent presentation, I really enjoyed watching. While there were a few minor nit-picks (.2 listed for lowest U factor, for example), but overall very informative and well worth watching.
From a design POV, the windows shown are the worst because the sit flush with the wall surface which is a bad look. (cheap looking) In the same way a door is recessed a bit, the window should be as well. Some builders try to address this by putting a 1x5 frame around the window to give it a bit a setback and has a much nicer appearance, mimicing older styles.

Thank you. I have learned a lot.

What!! I’ve been lied to. I was told that our energy bill will be cut in half if we replaced our aluminum single paned windows.
If that’s what’s in your house now that’ll probably be the case. As long as they foam around the windows. Assuming they are vinyl
