  • Why do we need floor insulation?
Floors in buildings are magnets for sound and heat to travel through. This can cause long-term issues for tenants and owners, such as nuisance noise, high energy bills and colder living conditions.
Installing floor insulation can improve energy efficiency - and reduce unwanted noise levels from spaces above by up to eight times.
ROCKWOOL Safe'n'Sound® is a stone wool batt insulation designed for interior wall partitions, floors, and ceilings for wood and steel frame construction where superior fire resistance and acoustical performance is required, resulting in an impressive thermal performance that prevents heat escaping through floor and ceiling spaces.
The new 6” Safe’n’Sound® is designed specifically for sound dampening to help prevent noise travelling from one floor to the next providing the peace & quiet you desire.

Can it be left open on ceiling like that? Or something must be put on it to protect stuff/particles falling down?

I want to insulate to gable ends in the attic with Rockwool R-22 insulation. There are no vertical studs except the flat studs of the roof truss. also the are a lot of framing & siding nails which can't be cut to put new 2X6 studs. I live in Wilmington, NC & my attic get get up to around 120 degrees in the summer time & about 30 degrees in the winter. My question is: can I use a little construction adhesive to help hold the insulation in place?

As a voice actor, an acoustically isolated recording environment is essential to recording pristine voice-overs and narratives. The voice booth in which I record was custom designed and constructed using ROCKWOOL Safe 'n' Sound in the walls, floors, and ceiling. After considering other acoustical insulation products, Safe 'n' Sound proved to be the superior option for my voice booth, and if I were to insulate walls and floors within a structure for sound isolation, I'd again choose ROCKWOOL Safe 'n' Sound.

I have found the same thing. Talk all you want about 6" rockwool but damned if I can find it. Another example of idiots running a company.

I think you miss understood my question. I'm selling nothing, I mearly wandered how safe and sound differd from WR3 if at all. This is the nearest thing rockwool produce here in England.

@@d.beaumont9157 I wasn't really directing my comment to you I was trying to get rockwool to give us some answers on their products ....
It seems Rockwool does not look at the comments or questions raised on their videos about their product ...
I guess we can conclude no customer support by rockwool

Wished Rockwool was tested for Cargo Conversion Trailer I'm thinking just another way to get more out there instead of pink board that all use for insulation, this is what I wanted to use but talking to Rockwool they said it was tested for those Situations,
More people are building their own camper out of Cargo Trailer because the quality is way better then some $20, $30, an more in cost, plus just getting what one wants an not what others what to sell to you
Have u seen the insulation that those manufacturers give u some real slap carp
An im not saying to sell to them because that will raise the cost to the customer an most likely be done like shit because its all about profits an selling to the customer an letting them profit from a great product like this
I've worked in power plant an lagged plenty of Boilers an ductwork using Rockwool an there's nothing like it when it comes from holding heat in
Maybe my next build I'll or we'll have this option when it comes to insulating our Cargo Conversion Trailer

This video told us very little ... what about a cathedral ceiling .... Shows what we need to know
We know how to cut it we not about the fire enough tells how to use it ... make a play list
