It's the best champion battle intro. Blue's is ok. Lance's is the same as the Elite 4. Steven and Wallace are the same as the blue intro(the one in fr/lg). Cynthia's intro is fine. Alder's intro kinda sucks but this intro is so dynamic and i love it.

Iris is still probably one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise. I get why other Champions, especially Cynthia, are held in such high regard, but there’s something about Iris’ character across the games and the anime that I just absolutely adore. I’m even willing to say that she’s my favorite Champion by a long shot and that this is how a Champion SHOULD be made.
bdt2002 Gaming she’s the only champion whose identity wasn’t blatantly obvious or already known and, idk, that made me really happy. i seriously didn’t expect to see her and the setting itself was just really pretty. and she was pretty hard to beat, especially compared to the other ‘dragon’ trainer champion. LOL heart gold is my all time favorite pokemon game, but lance is a joke imo.
some people like cynthia but, idk, i don’t really care about her. the only thing i remember about her is that she was kinda tough to beat, but that’s it. i can’t remember if she had a personality or anything and her battle wasn’t as exciting as iris’.

The fairy type was created EXCLUSIVELY because of Iris.
@Daniella Georgiou-Norman Dragon Type needed a nerf in general, Multiscale Dragonite, Salamence, Garchomp, Kyurem Black/White, and other pseudo legendaries such as Tyranitar ran rampant in competitive. Fairy Type came in to check Dragon and give Poison some more usage because Steel was fine, but Poison lacked almost as much as Normal in terms of viability.

This fight is just the definition of having fun. While pretty much every other league master's up to this point on pokemon games meant something for the story and just yelled at you that the story wasn't over, that there was a last obstacle to beat before finally finishing the game, Iris's battle just hits differently. Now that you've beaten team plasma twice in pokemon B/W and B/W 2, changed the way if thinking of the such tormented character that was N, saved Inova from Two legendaries, carried through two entire games ang finally gotten to the point of the league master, This theme just slaps you in the face like nothing you've ever seen before. Iris isn't a serious trainer nor is she a badass one, she started of as a regular trainer, just like you, and she likes to battle, just like you. This is why she's not the hardest league master to beat; she's actually on the same level as you, instead of being a superior to you, she's actually an equal to you, here to make you remember the world is a fun place full of joys and happiness instead of making you fear the world like the entire Black & white games pretty much did. This is even more effecient when we remember this is actually the last league in a 2D pokémon game, a fun goodbye letter to an era, and an amazing premice to a new one
"Having fun" She literally has a team that Smogon would blush at since she EV/IV trained them to the max with the right items and moves. Her team here is not for having fun but to destroy you.

Charles Ouendag but one of them is a pikachu, 3 of them have recharge moves as STAB, and one is a special attacking snorlax. you can beat red with a team in the 60’s. here, not so much

I was so proud of this team when I beat her with an on par Level team... Especially since I struggled with 2 of the Elite 4 beforehand. The Ghost and Fighting Elite 4 members.
If you still have the game with that save file, you can check your team in the PCs in the pokemon centers

In my Black 2 game, I have Tepig/Emboar for my male character’s (Nate) starter, and until I was ready to fight the Unova champion league for the first time (B2W2) I have Krokodile, Amoongus, Eelektross, Lapras, and Metagross. My B2 team is even better than my Black version’s team 😛

Iris is the best character in pokemon. Her role as champion is so poetic, and she's the hardest champion to beat. Cynthia and Leon are hard too, don't get me wrong, but Iris is on another level. Plus, her aesthetics are wonderfully bombastic, and her theme is bonkers

Iris has the best champion theme. The music matches the other-worldly, magical aesthetics of Iris’ room and battle perfectly.
I defeated her using

-Flygon(Sander)
-Swanna(Daisy)
-Drapion(Stingsalot)
-Chandelure(Spookay)
I mostly used lucario with the metronome(item) and aura sphere spam, dealt damage with one of her dragon types using my swanna with the ice gem + icebeam strategy and with flygon's dragon fang boosted dragon claw to her haxorus.
(Edit): this was not my remach team, my rematch team was:
-Tyranitar(Godzillah)
-Wailord(Flababy)
-Black Kyurem
-Serperior
-Flygon
-Lucario
The strategy this time was a rock gem for tyranitar, a dragon gem for flygon, the same metronome strategy for lucario, ice gem for wailord and black kyurem with the nevermeltice which came in clutch when fighting with her haxorus (cuz I forgot it had focus sash)

When I battled Iris in white 2 she beat me 7 times.
All those times I was stuck on Haxorus, I could OHKO everything but Haxorus, had to do a strategy by using Me First to defeat it.
The first battle has me on edge! Ahh I love Iris and her team, her room and her battle music.

holy sht just earlier i watched how she one-shotted my level 100 serperior (i'm only using one pokemon since i am striving to get the medal for it) with a crit flamethrower by her hydreigon
The medals in B2/W2 are so good, I love that feature.
For that challenge you might wanna try a legendary with type neutral like arceus, Kyogre or even mewtwo/kyurem if you feel confident in them.
@@cCO2324 also my kyurem sucks (-sp. atk nature and i'm guessing it has very low IV on sp. attack because even if i fused it with my reshiram, it has lower sp. atk than regular reshiram). i didn't reset and catch it again since i already soft-reset numerous times just for natures.
thank you for your suggestion though! but relying on legendaries isn't really my thing 😅 i wanted a challenge that's why i only used my starter (besides serperior with substitute + glare is sooo good)

I love how iris pulls a lance and dosent only use dragons. But with lance it felt and was forced. As for Iris it was cool and fun. And non were used by lance! Aggron,Lapras and Archeops are perfect. Bonus for not getting destroyed by rock types
I have to say that Iris has the best champion theme and champion room. Cynthia is close, but Iris’ rematch team is even stronger than Cynthia.

YUP YUP YUP, that stuff is horrifying cause she knows the Sash is gonna save her in the worst scenario, and Haxorus has the highest attack in the game, not going in with a priority move is begging to lose.

Actually the play has kinda bad. The first attack, they went with hail instead of ice beam which was such a wrong move. Glaceon had crazy SP Attack with a base of 130. Imagine what this could have done. Plus no water pokemon for Aggron and Archeops. It’s not that challenging lol, just bad play.
