  • Reverend Trask comes in and very forcefully deals with Vicki thinking that she is the witch. He ties Vicki up in the woods but Angelique hears what has happened and has a plan of her own.

Trask would’ve made a good televangelist in the ‘80s.

I've watched the entire show 3 times now including when I was a kid in the 60's. I have the box sets of DVDs but now that it's on Tubi I watch an episode or two every day. It's my way of keeping these beloved characters and actors in my life. It saddens me that most of them have passed on. My fondest memories were of the 60's and Dark Shadows was a large part of that.

Those sounded like decent slaps Vickie and the Rev Trask gave each other....without sound effects🤯🤯 LOL.

It should occur to Trask that witches don't slap, a real one would probably just would've just put a curse on him but I do like the way Vicki stands up to him!

@@bruce8808Angelique is able to control Ben's speech and ability to touch her. If Vicky had witch's powers such as those, Trask would be stopped by now.

Jerry Lacey was made to play "Trask" and all his descendants ! If Jonathan Frid wasn't cast as Barnabas,Jerry would've made a great Vampire too ! But my heart will always belong to Jonathan Frid !

its amazing how mans fears inside himself can fool him into acting and doing crazy things. Sad thing is mankind has always been that way and will always be that way.

@@melodiefrances3898 You just have to follow your own path in life and shut out the noise as much as possible. We are the masters of our own ships. Life is hard. There is no doubt about that. Just keep God at the center focus.

"I am defending the right of this girl to be judged innocent until she is proved innocent." It wasn't just Trask's mind that found that hard to absorb; I'm having a little trouble with it myself.

It was the US with a Constitution. Innocent unless proven guilty.
Trask acts like a prosecuting attorney. He's enough to make you want to give him a good slap and comeuppance. What he's doing is abduction and unlawful imprisonment. He is not an officer of the law. What a farce.

I guess Angelique will make sure the tree dies. Angelique put in motion so much evil and death with her obsession to get Barnabas to marry her.

Barnabas is really showing genuine compassion and concern for those that he knows is innocent of any wrongdoing without any shreds of doubt in the 18th century!

@@bruce8808 After Trask's exorcism, in which Angelique causes Vicki to run out of the house and into his arms by setting her room on fire, I think the Countess became convinced of Vicki's guilt.

Actually, one could argue that Barnabas is so convinced that Vicki is innocent, that she will be proven innocent no matter what.
Unfortunately, Vicki would undermind her own claims of blamelessness in the episodes to come with her big mouth.
