@@ScrappersDetailing I would strongly recommend a 1:1 ratio. While not as economical as 1:4, you’ll need the cleaning power because it’s an inherently mild cleaner. Because of that , I would employ a Scrub Ninja on areas like door cards, leather seats, and steering wheels
I've use P&S products for years but have yet to try their carpet bomber. I am considering it but not sure yet. In terms of your detail, you mentioned you don't have a hot water extractor yet, don't worry, you don't need one. The one you're using is similar to the one I use and it does amazing. Here's my tip. I have a large Igloo drink cooler, like you would use to make juice or ice tea, etc. It holds a lot of water. All I do is boil a few large pots of water as I'm getting my equipment out and chemicals mixed. Once it comes to a slow boil, pour it in the large drink cooler and voila, you have steaming hot water. I use it in my Bissel carpet cleaner pro as well as my steam cleaner. It's nice in the steamer too as it takes far less time to charge/ heat.
In terms of P&S interior cleaner, it also works amazing on leather. It was orginally develop as a leather cleaner but once they realized it worked on other hard surfaces, they marketed it as more of an all around APC interior cleaner. I love that stuff, works great.
Xpress? yeah no need for a leather cleaner, works great on it. Very good interior cleaner, wish it foamed less tho especially when used with brushes. Probably will try griots interior cleaner next.
@@whitegoodman7465 yup, it was originally designed for leather.. I don't mind the foaming.. I find if it foams too much, I just dial down the dilution ratio.. I mix it with my steamer and that's a fantastic combo..
I have a big barrel fan that I use to circulate air around the vehicle. I also have some smaller fans that I can target to specific areas of the carpet that might be tougher to dry like up near the pedals on the driver's side. You can see the barrel fans in some of my videos.
P&S is awesome, but Koche Chemie got my attention. Last week I used their Green Star on a super dirty maintenance detail. Man it works well. I know they are on the expensive side but the results are awesome. But I think doing 3 step kinda takes longer to detail. The results are nice. I'm about to run out of my APC for the interior, will definitely go for the Express.
Yeah, I've heard nothing but great things about the Koch-Chemie products as well. Pan the Organizer had a great review of them although they are a little on the spendier side. I view them as products more for high-end vehicles. As you can tell from my videos, I'm not getting much in terms of "high-end" vehicles. I specialize more in mom of 4 kids type of vehicles.
@@dotmarsExactly, people compare the higher price plus the smaller container but when calculate how highly dilutable they are it is very very inexpensive.
Nicely done. For P&s Xpress interior 1:1 is the recommended dilution and what I use at home. It can be used full strength even if needed. But if weaker works then all the better. It’s nice that it doesn’t need to be ‘rinsed’ odd like an APC does.
I have my P&S express cleaner diluted 1:1 for really dirty cars and I have another bottle diluted 4:1 for just regular maintenance cars since most of those just need to be wipe down.
In my video that just dropped about 30 minutes ago I said this exact thing. I realized after my most recent detail that Xpress could be used in a weaker dilution for those less "stressful" jobs! Hopefully you enjoyed the video.
It sure seemed like that, but there wasn't rust on other parts. I think kids spilled all over those tracks over the years. I'll look into that though to see if was flooded at some point.
P&S products really WORK! Granted I normally mix my own carpet cleaner (sweet project cars here on UA-cam taught me :) but P&S is the best commercially available carpet shampoo and pre treat! Hope you wore a mask on this one, I skimmed video a bit hadn't noticed. A1+ Work. Also, wondering here what this vehicle looked like on the outside? Was it all worth it?
Thanks much! I did the seats first. I just usually always show my videos in the same order with vacuuming and then extracting. No, I didn’t wear a mask. The exterior of the vehicle wasn’t too bad. I couldn’t wash the exterior because it was too cold out to get the vehicle outside at the time.
I liked the carpet system but hated the interior cleaner. Wasn't strong enough for me. Maybe I got a bad batch or something but it did hardly anything on filthy interiors.
Hmm. I have found it's not the strongest cleaner. I prefer CarPro Inside for dirty jobs, but Xpress has done a good job for me in the long run, and it's not too "chemically" smelling.
@Scrapper's Detailing you know technically that's not a wrong answer. 🤣 we run the heater in the mornings and ac in the evenings. We barely get winter, a few days of spring & fall, and hot humid heat for the rest. Sometimes all in one week. I was a a tad wrong on just the summer (it was that way a few years ago I swear) but they are now open march to November. Which technically could be considered our summer months lol (and I spelled "Mo" wrong)
Have you ever burned the plastic (turn it white) from being to close with the streamer? You were giving me anxiety with how close you are with it 😅. Good review of Carpet bomber, thats what i use, I also use 303 as well that stuff is amazing.
Robert, thanks much for the support. No, I haven't had any problems with the steamer yet. The key is that I try and keep it moving. Sometimes I will sit on a spot for a little bit, but never too long. My steamer isn't an industrial strength one so it is putting out some decent steam, but not the intense jet of steam some of the higher grade ones can. Yes, I love the P&S system with Terminator, Carpet Bomber, and Finisher. Finisher really surprises me. Sometimes carpet fibers used to feel a little "crusty" after I cleaned, but I haven't experienced that at all since I started using Finisher.
I just started up a mobile Detailing business. I'm planning on not offering seat removal, i will shampoo under, use a crevis tool to vaccume up. I would not be able to charge $160 for full SUV details if I had to add that in.
Correct. I have raised my prices. For a detail like this now, it would easily be $250+. I have started to only remove seats if absolutely necessary. With these SUVs nowadays, you can really get a lot of access under there without removing them.
I ended up hurting myself pretty badly with detailing . Studied IT books while injured and landed an IT job a few months later. I just stopped going to PT for my hands but they still arent 100%.
I think the color change was an in-camera issue rather than a premiere pro issue. Either way, it looks like the white balance was adjusted. If you have your camera set to auto white balance, it would have adjusted it on its own.
Man I hate cleaning those things. While that one in particular was dirty I've seen ones that you can't tell what color the seats are supposed to be. Mashed up cupcakes and every kind of candy imaginable. Oh and don't forget the hoard of dogs that have to go along on the trip. I worked at a Chevy dealership. We sold a lot of traverses and Acadias. I'm glad they changed the interiors on the next generation of them. No more food packed floor crevices. I would blast carpet foam in there and let it eat for a bit then slurp it out with the shop vac. Give me a caravan any day of the week over a traverse.
Oh man! Smashed cupcakes would not be fun. I haven't seen any of those, but have seen lots of stuck in candies embedded in carpets. Thank God for my steamer to get those out. I really hated cleaning the tracks in those things. Any advice on how to get them "unstuck" and what to use to lubricate them to get them moving freely again?
@@ScrappersDetailing I would say some kind of automotive grease would help. White lithium or bearing grease. Also violence. Ran into a few that the cables that work the seats were stretched out and didn't release the mechanism. I didn't have to mess with it too much because I worked at a dealership so if I couldn't get it working the higher ups would have to decide to fix it or not. So in that way I was Lucky. Had no extractor or steam cleaner. Still managed to clean some truly apocalyptic cars. Also almost never took out seats.
@@I_aint_tellin_deth Wow. No seat removal. I don't have to much anymore on most SUVs. Coupes are a different story. So hard to get under those things. @@ScrappersDetailing thanks a lot
@@tonycuellar1176 No problem!
My recommended dilution ratios.
P&S Xpress Interor Cleaner - Straight or 1:1
P&S Terminator:- Straight
P&S Carpet Bomber - 3:1
P&S Finisher - Straight
Thanks much! Those are all close to what I did except for the Xpress I’ll have to mix that a little stronger going forward.
Scott agreed. I also have a bottle of purple 1to1 ration for oil or rusty stains.
What detail brushes are those?
They are Detail Factory brushes. They are linked in the description so you can take a look at them if you'd like to see what they have available.
Hmmmm this is an incredible challenge and you did a fantastic makeover. I wonder if make sense to start the seats first to let the cleaner soak while you do the insane vacuum job inside?
@@ScrappersDetailing same for me. Not the best cleaner
There's a drive in here in sc. Three screens actually. Called The Big Moe
So lucky! I wish we still had one here. Problem in MN is they can only be open 6-7 months per year.
@Scrapper's Detailing they only open ours up for the summer but if you can stay awake for the two movies it's pretty awesome.
@@Mommyfe1219 How long is summer in SC? 8-10 months?
@Scrapper's Detailing you know technically that's not a wrong answer. 🤣 we run the heater in the mornings and ac in the evenings. We barely get winter, a few days of spring & fall, and hot humid heat for the rest. Sometimes all in one week. I was a a tad wrong on just the summer (it was that way a few years ago I swear) but they are now open march to November. Which technically could be considered our summer months lol (and I spelled "Mo" wrong)
@@Mommyfe1219 Jealous. We have windchill below zero tonight :( So cold.
@@ScrappersDetailing Good advice, I burned a vehicle my first time using it by getting too close or leaving it too long on an area lol
@@robertl955 It definitely can happen.
It all depends where you live the pricing. In Maryland and Virginia people will pay 160 all day for interior and that is WITHOUT removing seats
I ended up hurting myself pretty badly with detailing . Studied IT books while injured and landed an IT job a few months later. I just stopped going to PT for my hands but they still arent 100%.
@@user-ec6ej4dp6t that escalated quickly...in 5 months you seriously injured yourself detailing?! Please elaborate
I think the color change was an in-camera issue rather than a premiere pro issue. Either way, it looks like the white balance was adjusted. If you have your camera set to auto white balance, it would have adjusted it on its own.
I’m sure you are totally correct. I’m kind of a noob when it comes to camera settings.
is the finisher just peroxide?
It says Finisher Peroxide, so I believe it is. I can check the bottle to see if there is anything else in it too.
@@ScrappersDetailing please let me know many thanks!
@@beachbum6741 It's a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide according to the SDS.
@Scrapper's Detailing ok great peroxide is cheap to buy
I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee coming today for a full interior. Those things are IMPOSSIBLE to get under the seats because they are not flat. It's a super weird structure they use on their floor.
@@ScrappersDetailing what I can't get to can be blown out with an air tip on a compressor.
@@I_aint_tellin_deth True. This vehicle coming tonight has some pop explode all down the console and under the seat. Will be tough to get that extracted otherwise. Will see here in a couple of hours.

I wonder how much did you charge
$150 for this vehicle.
@@ScrappersDetailing Holy Mackeral! They got a deal and a half! WOW you did an all day job!!
@@sputnik4216 True! I have raised prices since then since it was early in my business. Now it would be about $225.
@@ScrappersDetailing Just curios how long did it take you for this job? Nice work by the way
@@greggo502 This job took me about 12 hours total. I will say I am not the fastest worker. Since this is a side business, I'm not churning through vehicles.

scrub shifter until all dirt is removed.
Express 1:1 like the bottle says.
Honestly, I find express to be a little weak when diluted, so I always use it straight with a scrub ninja. It could just be that GA red dirt I'm always dealing with though 😢
Personaly I woud have not removed the seats. just blow it out. I dont trust removing seats. Reguardless, Good results.
I will blow it out sometimes, but if you follow the process for removing and then tightening to factory spec and sometimes some Loc-Tite, there is no problem.
@@ScrappersDetailing Very true. Im just lazy tbh. But sometimes it must be done, Especially in odor removal. Thx btw for the videos. I have learned way more than I thought I would by youtube.
@@GothicOutlaws For sure. You can learn ANYTHING on UA-cam! Hopefully my videos contribute a "little" bit to people's learning along with the satisfying cleans.
@@ScrappersDetailing Just curious if you are ok with answering this... What products, as in cleaning solutions do you use?
@@GothicOutlaws The easiest explanation is everything I use is linked in the description of the videos. The newest videos will have the most up-to-date products. I am a big fan of the P&S lineup of products.
Dilution 1:1
Thanks! I have been using it both 1:1 for dirtier vehicles and then 1:4 for lighter jobs.
Who lives like that with their car? DIsgusting!! And for those who say "it was the kids"... can you imagine how those kids will grow up after being allowed to be this disgusting? The future is bleak for whoever has to deal with them in the future and throughout their lives.
Yeah I couldn't do but they sure make interesting videos!
They need to give you guys money!!! I just purchased these two products because of this video!!!! They need to pay you guys for the advertisement
Ha! Wouldn't that be nice if they sponsored the video!? I'm still a long ways from that. Need to grow the sub base and attract more viewers first :) But it's only a matter of time.
Great job. The seat rails are a tough call. If it’s surface rust just spray some silicone spray on the rails, if the rust has taken hold, there’s nothing you can do. P&S makes great products, but they are expensive considering you can only dilute the interior cleaner a maximum of 1:1 (most detailers use it straight). It is very mild and safe plastics though. Awesome video!
I was really hoping I could dilute it down more than that. I dilute CarPro Inside sometimes 8:1.
@@ScrappersDetailing - I’m just going by what P&S says. If diluting it more works for you then by all means go for it.

If I get a gallon of any chemicals can I put it in a other bottle or do I need put Water in too
It depends. Many chemicals can be diluted down to 1 part chemical and so many parts water. Some are 1 part chemical to 1 part water and others can be 1 part chemical and up to 20 parts water. Just have to read their recommendations. I dilute my Xpress cleaner 1 part chemical to 3-4 parts water sometimes for light jobs. My CarPro Inside cleaner I dilute 1 part chemical to 10 parts water most of the time.
