This just saved me so much time. Last one I drilled out and used a pick to get it out bit by bit. This was much easier. Thanks for the tip dude.

Yup! Had the same thing happen on my 08 Liberty. I didn't think about using the torch. I just drilled out the center and was able to use a pick, dug into the plastic with the sharp end and it came right out. My Liberty has only been here in NY for 6 years so it wasn't too too bad and I also sprayed it with the ol' PB Blaster for a couple days beforehand. Good to see you. Definitely missed your content.

    Man, missed you a lot.
That is an absolutely ingenious way to remove the broken ABS sensor. Wish you had made that video one year ago. I broke one of mine on my WK Grand Cherokee and spent at least 45 minutes drilling it out. If I ever break a sensor again, I know what I won't be doing - drilling. I'll be pulling out my torch, finding myself a screw, and pullin that baby out! Thanks for the vid, I'm a mechanic and that is a serious time saver.
I've also learned in my mechanic experience that whenever it isn't necessary to remove the sensor from the hub, DON'T! Just unplug it from the electrical connector and leave the magnet in the hub. That has saved me countless hours of unnecessary labor time.
I'd really like to see more vids on your 4.7 maroon Jeep. What's going on with Ruby these days?

Brilliant!! 2019 Honda CRV. In the rust-belt Toronto area. Unbelievably stuck in there! I found a nice course thread screw, heated it up and screwed it in. I pulled it out with a claw hammer. It took some force, but totally held. I would never drill it out and send pieces into the wheel bearing, like some videos. Thanks buddy!!

Tapping that sensor in is a horrible idea, The correct way would have been for you to actually clean the rust and debris out of the hole, Then apply a little grease to the new sensor before installing!

I want to share my experience with this method on my Mazda 3 2016 (spoiler, it didn't work). As I live in Canada, it was no surprise that the sensor broke when I had to take it out, so I saw this video and decided to give it a try. What ended up happening was that the screw actually broke off while I was screwing it into the sensor. Now I didn't use the best screw for the job I admit, but I just want to let people know that things might just not work. Still, it was worth the try so thanks for the video.

Doing a wheel bearing and CV axle replacement and first thing out the door was this sensor housing cracking. 06 Murano, last 7 in NY so not surprising.
Couple things worth mentioning as per other videos:
    1. Measure new sensor and only drill 1/2 - 2/3of that length so you don't hit anything below it.
    2. Apparently you should lube the top of the sensor with ceramic brake/slide pin grease or even chassis grease over the different metallic-based anti-seizes. Not sure why as both copper and aluminum anti-seize are both non-ferromagnetic and the sensor is copper wire inside a stainless steel case inside moulded plastic...

    • @acepowerwashing

Didn't thought about the cooper interference to the sensor. I guess wires are accounted for.
