I JUST ordered a pair of these, like, an hour ago. What sold me on them, aside from the price and the Tascam name, was a testimonial review of how they were still functional after being dragged behind a car. For thirty minutes. In the rain. It's the top Amazon review. So, yeah.
@@jayrodriguez4492 I honestly love them. They're comfortable, the build feels solid, the cord is a nice long length, and the sound quality is decent. They do get a little warm after wearing them a few hours, but that doesn't bother me, personally. I use them for sound monitoring on animations, gaming, and casual listening to my ancient crappy MP3s. For $20, I was very satisfied.
I just got them, and honestly, they sound crappy, but it depends on what use you plan for them, I wanted to record some music, listen to my favorite records and over all listening to things with attention to detail, and the bass just isn't very present, not really abscent either but, not quite defined. the mids are a bit harsh and highs are thin, overall you get a boxy sound, like when you cup your hands over your ears. If you tend to enjoy music in detail and good enough definition, or at least enough qualit so it doesn't distract you or bother you, then the TH02 are not for you. Think twice before you spend whatever 20-30 bucks. If you want a nice sounding pair of headphones that are also cheap, go for over ear Sony's, more bass, but most important, better definition, you can hear the clarity and quality on almost any type of recording for less than $15.
Thanks for the review! I’m a DJ my beloved Pioneer DJ HDJ-X7’s are being replaced by Guitar Center’s Pro Coverage plan which means I have to ship mine to them, wait for a check from Asurion then buy a replacement. I’m considering these or possibly ATH-M20x’s as a backup/ temporary use until my HDJ-X7’s arrive since I still have gigs to do in the meantime.
you're right the material on the top destroyed in about two years, but the material under the false leather is a nice soft black velvet looking so not a big problem... it remains exactly the same and soft structure but with a different aspect (not bad imho)...apart this no problem at all and i use them every day for turntable scratch training.
This is not meant to be an insult whatsoever. When you took your glasses off, I saw the white eyelashes, and that's just rad. I don't think I've ever seen noticed someone with white eyelashes before. Good review, good content, subbed.
Hey bro they upgrated the headphones big tine in 2021 so this negative issues are wrong and gone so for $26.00 now price are unreal seriously they fixed the problemos bro.......so please pin so people know they have been upgrated..T>Y E>T
@@jakeregier9527 I’m using a pair as a donor. Intent is just to rip everything out and 3D print custom cans. I did a preliminary test with literally a first draft model and it sounded SO MUCH better lol.
There's a surprising number of really good cheap headphones these days, in the sub $50 range. I have a set of these coming in the mail, should be here by the end of the week. I already know I'm going to replace the pads on them, so comfort is already solved for me (I don't use stock pads on any headphone). I'll likely put one of those band wraps on it as well. I actually ordered these for a bit of an odd reason, I'm going to attach a head tracking unit to them for gaming. Most of my headphones are open or semi open back, and the only other closed set I have won't work. I stumbled across these, remembered I had been meaning to get a pair anyway, and they're going to work perfect for what I need.
I have had these for 6 years. They arent my go to but for the price point I would say you are getting so much for your money. Mine look the same as when I got them. Comfort as you stated is about an hour. I like that the cord is so long. I have the white/red. I like how they fold up. I dont think you can beat um for 20 bucks
Just ordered these for when "playing" a guitar that i rarely even pick up so hopefully they're alright. Nothing that sounds good will be playing through them anyways.
alright so these just came in the mail today. i have no idea what people are talking about calling these tight fitting saying they hurt. mine aren't tight at all. and they're not uncomfortable and i wear glasses even.
Are these good for no sound leakage during recording? I already have an expensive pair of headphones for mixing but they don't work as in the recording booth headphones because they are open back
adding my two cents here since I bought these based on this review. I'm pretty disappointed. immediately out of the box and plugged in, I was getting a scratchiness from the cable. the sound is bad. like really bad. really boxy. I feel like I'm listening to the tone of the plastic vibrating. Sonically, I prefer my skull candy earbuds over the TH-02s. That said, 20 bucks for over the ear headphones that are only going to be used for reference while recording, I'm not sure it's worth the effort to return them.
The sound is decent, but the comfort is Terrible. This is on-hear headphones and is highly unrecommended for those who wear glasses like me. Also, plastic is so cracking and can be annoying during listening.
I don't know why people recommend these. I have a pair of JBL E35, that cost me $15 on sale and sound MUCH better than these. I was so disappointed that I returned the Tascams. The tascams sound cheap and hollow.

I saw that too! How are they so far?

Can you hear music coming from them when recording with a mic

@@ad_404. I just saw a review where the guy changed the original ear pads, so it seems they are.
This being your first video in a couple of months, this is pretty good! Welcome back!
Am I seeing correctly or is part of your brow and eyelashes white

Do these come with the 1/4 to plug into the audio interface?
yes

@@PerocDisgusting I'm sure they work fine for booth recording, but I ended up getting a deal on some Audio Technica headphones so I got those instead.

terrible review sound 3/4 way through this diatribe
Frustrating.. Please learn proper Grammer and clean up content. You're reviewing almost everything we can see without this video.
