C5 generation is best. Hands down.
I want a 2013 C6 427. That's my dream car. If you're going to buy a C6, buy a 2008 and newer, it has the LS3 engine.

I owned a 2013 427 convertible -60th anniversary model.
Great car and performance except for a very bad heat issue. Center console got so hot had to put a potholder in console so I could put anything in it.

I had a 2008 C6Z06
Now i have a yellow 07 C6Z06
T56 trans is over 40 lb lighter than tr660 unit
I don't feel any difference in performance between the two
All i can say my 07 C6Z06 with 5 gallon of gas weight only 3048 lb. and it is the most awesome American car I've ever driven
That was my main determining factor for buying one. Best and most reliable car I’ve ever owned.
I have to disagree with him about the C4. My first Corvette was a 1994 C4, and I loved it. I took it on several long road trips alone and with other C5 and C6 Covettes. and it had great performance and surprisingly good gas mileage. The passenger comfort wasn't too great, but I didn't really care about that. The C4 was at the crossroads between the old vettes and the new. It held it's own with the top European sports cars of the era. I bought a C6, but kept the C4 as well. I didn't sell it until I bought a new C7 GS 8 years later. The Chevy dude is wrong about later C4s. 92 -96. (no profit selling) Sure she has some quirks, she also has her charms. If that's what your budget will allow, just find a good later years Vette and you'll have a blast!
No love for the C4 is crazy to me. They are great cars and are easy to work on. I also know of a few people that drive theirs daily.
C-4s will always be my favorite.
I have a C6 Z06. It is a real blast to drive. I have been a Corvette fan for many years. A lot of bang for your buck

I own 6 Corvettes but the 1 that I enjoy the most is my 2013 ZR1. It is a blast.
I own a 2013 60th Anniversary Grand Sport Coupe and love everything about the C6 generation. I want to buy another C6 in the future.
I'm surprised to hear you disparage later C4's ('92 to '96).
They were so far ahead of their time on so many levels.
So was the 4wd Eagle station wagon. 😆 Seriously dude, C4s are just lame.
I absolutely LOVE my C6. I've owned it for 13 years this month, and intend on keeping it. We also have a C2 in the family, so we're definitely all about the Corvette!
I would be blessed to ride in one, let alone own one. Me, wife and family lost our home and everything do to pandemic. Now we are stuck at a weekly hotel here in Louisville Ky where Chevy Dude is from. Our government stuff is messed up and if someone does not help by Friday will be homeless. My choice would be the C7 I personally don’t care for the C8 mid engine I’m old school the motor belongs in the front of a Corvette, but opinion are like butt holes everybody has one ☝️

I'm a C5 owner and I love it.
I actually think the C7 is the best looking Vette with the C5 coming in second.
I agree but the innovation speaks for its self, when a base model c8 can beat a zo6 C7. Says alot.
My 1993 Corvette was a daily driver and the C4 was a major departure from the C3 and evolved during its long production!
My favorite is C7. I am curious why no love for C4. It was revolutionary when it came out and so much better than C3 which had become a joke. Remember C4 ZR1 was for a period of time fastest cars in the world and its chassis was incredible for the time. To my eyes much better looking than C5 and C6 that were heavy in the butt.
C5 red convertible. Smooth lines and beautiful.
Sounds lovely, the C5 is my personal favorite Vette, though I love them all. A 50th Anniversary Convertible would be an amazing choice, too.
I grew up in the 80s with a poster of the C4 on my walls and my favorite all time TV CAR was the one that Face of the A -Team drove , all white with the red stripe on the sides , and I get more excited when I see a C4 on the streets than any other Corvettes on the street and I know I’m not the only one that feels this way about the best Corvette ever created , the C4 😊
C6 z06. Game over. I might be saying this because I own one but still..
Personally, I'm a C6 fan 'cause I wasn't a fan of flip up lights after the early 90s and I was in high school when they fixed that with the C6. And of course some cars you obsess over are in high school days... so yeah.

I have had numerous new C3's & C4.s, but I fell in love with the C5 and it has been my only car for over 20 years now (but getting hard to find parts). Never cared for the C6 and love the C7 interior (but too cramped for me). If I could buy a new C5 with the C6 tech upgrades and a C7 interior, I would be a happy guy! The C8 looks like it has it all, but it is no longer for an average income individual - not only do you have to have burn money, but I cannot even imagine getting it fixed at a local Chevy dealer where I live (on a lift between two muddy pickups for weeks at a time). Also, the streets are so bad where I am now it would be a crime to buy any Corvette IMO.
I love the C7. I have a 2014 stingray. Blade metallic silver red interior black stripes. It’s a head turner every where I go.
As a kid my favorite car was a camaro because of my brother so I love the 92 z28 convertible as an a adult now for many yrs I had to have the c7 2019 grand sport I just need my camaro again and I'll be happy again

I personally own two C5s and a C3 427 390 hp 4sd roadster, I am 69 still doing plastic surgery at local hot rod shop,I've gotta say if you are on a budget I like C4s and C5s you get a lot of bang for the buck swap meets and salvage yards parts prices are at the lowest I've seen C8s may be cool but I prefer engine in front
I had a 2002 (C5 obviously)...coupe, automatic, white w/ black interior. Had the factory 6 disc CD changer. Great car...loved it.

I'd take a C4 ZR1. My favorite is a C6 grand sport. Looks great, handles great, and plenty of usable power.
There is a ZR1 C4 in my area for 22k.
My favorite is my '13 C6 427 Convertible 60th Anniversary edition. I'm 2nd owner and it has less than 10K miles !!
Man that C8 is FUUUUUGGLLLLLYYYYY! It's a good thing that new Z06 is so awesome, because it actually offsets its trash heap, junkyard looks!
The c7 is the best for me I haven't sat in the c8 as of yet but prices are crazy expensive and I couldn't wait plus I knew I could barely fit because of my height
I just randomly watched this video and realized that I actually purchased that same exact red C6 ZO6 from that dealership last month. That's so awesome!! Haha. Subscribed!
C7 Grandsport for me
My C-2 1963 Conv. 327-340 HP 4 speed is the best! Red on red with a hard top and knock off wheels.
I have a 50th anniversary convertible c5 and I love it! Beautiful color and with a 6 speed. I am going to get rid of the magnetic ride control shocks though. Prefer conventional shocks
I have the same car in an automatic. Also deleted the mag shocks. Hardly notice the difference and they’re so much cheaper.
Other than a split window in 63 I'd say the C7 ZR1 is my favorite.
Although I like the 2009 ZR1 with the LS9.
That is C7 ZR1 not C7 ZL1
ZL1 is the name of the Camaro.
I like the C5, my dream car when I was a teenager was a 2002 Z06 Corvette

I'd like to own a C5, just for price reasons and practicality, but my favorite car (not just vette) will always be the 63 split window or a 70 chevelle 454 ss.

My C4 is my daily driver. I love the C4 and all corvettes even Camaros as well.
C5 started in 97. And you are a supposed expert? Lol
Corvette has some amazing models over its generations, however the C8 has truly made the Corvette a global supercar. As such, the C8 is likely the most significant generation.
Yep. A true example of budget performance, one that is attainable by the masses only this time sporting exotic looks.
I think its always been a world class super car and observed as one but I think the c8 is just next level. The everybody killer

I have the C5 Z06 but really want the C6 Z06 as well. My C5 is black with the OEM aluminum wheels but if I get a C6 Z06 it'll be red exterior color with the OEM chrome wheels.
I had a two 96 C4 Lt4, one was a Grand Sport #901. Nothing wrong with C4 Corvettes. I also had a 2000 Hardtop, that they used to make the C5 Zo6. The LS7 can drop valves.
LS7 dropping valve thing was blown way out of proportion. Just a bad batch of valves was my understanding.
I got c6 zr1 and I am still unbeaten on the streets and track...best car other then the c7 zr1
Mike, you are right about the C8 as I just got mine two weeks ago and it drives so nice. Its non Z51 and has Mag ride.
I loved how it drove, but I just couldn’t give up the highway pull power from my C7Z. The second I can put a deposit down on a C8Z though...

As a 6’5” 275 lbs guy the C7 fits me perfect. Not the easiest to get in but when in I am very comfortable. I bought mine used in 2020 and it’s a 2015 z51 2LT. Wish I had the magnetic ride control for lunch mode but hey I am not racing it.

It's not a big block the LS 7 is a small block. My favorite is a C7 Z06 It's a lot of bang for the buck It's a big upgrade in engine department

I like the later Corvettes, the Jaguar F type and, it surprises me to say so that Lexus coupe that is getting raves. The Lexus is out owing to the price. The Jaguars, which are beautiful, can be had with AWD - a plus for the long trips I take. The Corvette offers me a coupe, also stunning, with a removable top to enjoy good weather. Each has plenty of power. I won't be disappointed with either choice, but I am not yet decided.
Needing magnetic ride control is not a "misnomer." Including misnomer in that sentence is a malapropism.

I can pick up at least 3 mistakes that this "leading" Corvette salesman made
1. C5 Corvettes were manufactured from 1997-04 ( not 1999)
2. You could absolutely get a manual convertible top in a C6...I own a 2013
3. The C6 427 engine is a small block, not a big block

Sat in a C8 the other day and I was disappointed that it felt too closed in and not much visibility for a guy 6’3”. I have a C6 and I just love it! My favorite car from these generations would be a C6 ZR1 in Jet Stream Blue. The Blue Devil. Period.
For sure that blue C6 ZR1 is a beautiful rocket ship.
Love my torch red C7. It’s a head turner. Still on the fence as to how much I like the C8. Can’t afford one anyway. GM and insane mark ups have insured I’ll never own one anyway.
My ultimate 'vette. There's only one - Split Window.
For a 3 season driver I'll choose a c5 or c6.
Mark my words, the C8 Z06 will go down as the greatest corvette ever.
Maybe the fastest, greatest has to be the old ones. 63 coupe and 67 are absolutely my favorite ever, nothing at a car show makes me happier than a nice original 63 split window!
What is your opinion of the C5 with F55 suspension in comparison to the C5 with Z51 in terms of ride and handling? Enjoyed the review of the different gens starting with the C5.
FOR THE C5 I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A 2003 Torch Red w/Black/Red Int. The other C5 Coupe with Le Man's Blue Ext.wBlack/Lt Oak Int. 2004.
The 495 HP C8 would def take the C6 Z off the line. However, on a roll, forget about it… The Z will smoke the C8
I own a 2018 z06 LZ3 - z07 package, just hit 5k miles , I’ve owned 4 corvettes , my favorite by far , unbelievable, waiting for the c8 z06, Chevy dude maybe you can hook me up when ordering goes live? If you can do it for msrp, I’ll fly in from Illinois to pick it up ?

But I would LOVE A C8 ,, with all the bells and Toys ,, Except one.
That being ,,, my goal is not Super Speed or Quick off the line,, but in that INSANLLLLY GOOD LOOKING RIDE
I want MAX Gas Milage only with all that beauty.
I would be TOTALLY HAPPY WITH 50 or 60 MPG , with no more than 50 Horse power..
It may need a Diesel and Manual trans to get it up there , but YES , I just want it to go mellow speeds while looooooking SWEEEEET !!! Now that would be my dream VET !!!

Believe it or not I had a 1957 Corvette that was my daily driver and I had more fun in that car than any car I've ever owned. So simple and easy to work on and I always had the top down here in Southern California
I think this is just an opinion, especially since the technology changes with each generation. When the C7 came out, I thought that was by far the best looking corvette.. then of course the C8 came out and I had to get it.. the old school 60's corvette's are classic and always look amazing on the road.. it's just an opinion ... no one is right or wrong here...

Love the C1,C2,C3,C7 and C8. I never cared for the C5 because I had a 1995 Mazda RX-7 at the time and I was convinced GM ripped off the styling for the C5. I should be castrated for ever selling the RX-7, but I do have a C8 on order so hopefully that’ll make up for it! Great video! Thanks

The C5 styling was an evolution of the C4, which in turn was an evolution of the revolutionary C3. Not sure how it looks anything like the RX-7.
