    I tried to let a uv sphere fluid filling in a cup from a specific height and after that another uv sphere will fall to the fluid to the cup. I made the cup as the effector of fluid and passive of rigrid body and run the simulation, the uv sphere fell until half cup and it fell aside to the through the cup wall to the 3d viewport. Can you help me with this?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Місяць тому

      The cup is set up as a passive object, but its collision shape should be Mesh type. I believe you did that correctly, otherwise the falling uv sphere would have reflected from the top surface of the cup. If it is falling inside the cup but deflecting after that, I guess there might be another rigid body inside the cup which is hidden. You can send your blend file to us (5minblender@gmail.com) so that we can check and verify this.

    Hello. very good tutorial. A question: When I try to make the effect on a full-size model. for example in the size of a bottle, the effect does not work. Is there any reason for this to happen?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 роки тому +1

      Hi, can you please tell me which particular effect is not working? Is the splashing not happening or does the liquid remains invisible? What happens when you set the bottle as an effector?

    • @gabrielpinto3918
      @gabrielpinto3918 2 роки тому +1

      @@5MinutesBlender Hello. The effect is heavy, as if the splatters are having a hard time getting out and spreading.

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 роки тому +2

      @@gabrielpinto3918 I get it. The result might get more realistic if we increase the domain resolution heavily. Or what I personally did for the demo, I used a smaller cube to create the splash and I baked the fluid with that. Once the fluid was baked, I replaced that small cube with the actual cube, and did not bake it again. Kind of fake, but fast and accurate 😀

  • @Gannn__

    i dont really seem to get that satisfying splash effect, could you help me with that?
    whenever I do the drop my liquid does a really small splash...

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Рік тому

      The way we actually did the demo video is, we used an invisible object with a bigger size that is used for the splash. But it is not visible in the camera. Instead a smaller size realistic object is used for the camera, and the bigger object is parented to this smaller visible object so that they both move together. I hope this trick helps you.

    My friend, your video has helped me a lot in my learning. But I wanted to create a scene where I have a glass with an ice cube inside and while the liquid fills the glass, the ice cube would float simulating filling the cup with soda, for example. How could I be creating this scene?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  Рік тому +1

      You can float an ice cube along with fluid physics which is filling the glass. We have created a tutorial which is perfect for this, it should help 👉 ua-cam.com/video/N-yohyp0Ja8/v-deo.html

    Hi, I'm new to Blender , can I set how many litres water like inside of a box, or only ¾ full in a box?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  3 роки тому +2

      Good question. It would be a nice feature, but as far as I know, this is not yet possible in Blender directly. The fluid volume is somewhat dependent on the initial flow velocity, so we can do some math there and turn-off the flow after a certain time. Or we can use a second mesh with a size ¾ of that of the target mesh. But the fluid volume is also greatly impacted by the domain resolution we use, and the proportion between the flow object and the domain. So the absolute volume of the fluid is still hard to control.

    Softbody simulation is the Easiest simulation. Can you explain that?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  3 роки тому

      Let us cover that in another tutorial soon. Personally I won't say it is the easiest, but since soft body simulation allows for deformation of elastic bodies, it reduces the chances of any glitches (or makes them less visible). Other than that, any simulation can be easy or difficult depending on our actual scene, how we are going to use it.

    I came up with this following your tutorial, however milk looks kind of weird, that settings should I tweak to makes less granular (I made it from geometry instead stopping the inflow not sure if that's something that should affect stuff)

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, we did not give much focus on the material part. This is only about the physics, but materials are extremely important for a good animation. I believe your milk looks weird due to inappropriate material settings. Actually milk and water are two materials that are very difficult to setup in Eevee. Milk is a semi-transparent material, with a bit of subsurface scattering. If you switch over to Cycles, it will look best. But other than the material part, I don't think there is anything special. If the material is setup correctly, it will look perfect.

    anybody knows how the cube float on surface of the water?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 роки тому +2

      We made two tutorials on floating objects, using two different methods. You can watch 👉 ua-cam.com/video/FLoLC4-7vBo/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/N-yohyp0Ja8/v-deo.html and use any one technique. However, if you are mixing it with fluid simulation, the later one may be more suitable. And you have rigid body enabled for the cube. So once the cube falls inside the bowl or the container, you need to enable its "Animated" property in the rigid body settings so that the cube follows the floating part.
