Thanks so much for all the amazing comments on this tutorial! A lot of people have been asking about the sound design at 04:45. So here are some FAQ:
Q: Where do you get your sound effects?
A: I use a sound effects library called Soundly. It's a freemium library with a super efficient way of adding sounds. For this I used the Pro version, which significantly increases the size of the library.
Q: Where do you do the sound design?
    A: Davinci Resolve 17!
Q: Can you do a sound design tutorial?
A: I already did! The entire workflow using Soundly with Davinci Resolve 17 is covered in this tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/jjBNjvNIlQ4/v-deo.html
    Thanks for watching!

@@lucmermans37 My good dear sir, this is the music industry, literally anything ever is commercial and no matter what you make, someone out there fucking loves that shit. Best advice for me (assuming you're less experienced than me, probably wrong tho but i do want to say this anyways) is to say fuck commercial, fuck rules, fuck everything. Make what you make naturally, whatever you yourself enjoy producing the most. If you pursue music its not because of the money, it's because it's your passion, so make sure you enjoy every step of it ;)
not that its wrong for you to focus on the commercial aspect tho, it's only advice and not meant to be orders so honestly you can do whatever you want O:)

I got addicted to physics simulations in 3ds max years ago, I loved mixing motion capture data with zero gravity ropes, and real flow for liquid simulations, it always felt like magic. Blender looks like it has a much better system than the old one in max, and it's great that it all seems in the program instead of having to mix various plugins. I tried a bit with particle systems with complex behaviours to make lots of fish and things like that but loved the idea of creating a whole ecosystem of animals/insects /robots/whatever and running a giant calculation to see how everything unfolds. Like the Lord of the rings software. I guess you're basically just making a computer game at that point. But the unknown outcome and some beautiful rendering could make a great vr experience for people to relax inside watching all the madness unfold around them.

So many gems in this. Thanks for passing on these amazing techniques. The cube with the grappling hook was really special.

I downloaded Blender for some game engine practice I'm working on. Now I see this in my recommendations and my first thing was how you explained so quick and well these features. I especially appreciate key bindings being shared and the way they were presented. Thanks! Going to watch more and hope I can learn to do some good things with Blender while I build and play my game engine.

I love how you do your tutorials by including the misleading or mistakes one might make. It's a really good way to teach, almost Socratic in the way you don't just info dump. +1 sub

Good thing I found your channel. I have always had a certain rejection of animation due to the complexity of the whole process. I'm still in the character modeling stage but I know that one day I will get to animate my models. And talented artists like you motivate me to take that step. By the way and I hope this doesn't bother you, but you do look like a young version of Will Forte. Greetings.

This content is incredible. Thank you for taking the extra time to make your examples that much better. The DOF, lighting, and cinematography in your renders is all top notch.

Dope. I think one of the greatest things about rigid body compared to other sims is the instantaneous feedback. It can be real-time allowing for many more creative decisions, like with modelling or texturing. Undisturbed flow.
