@William Bickers nah ranger said in black speech the first time you see him “we are not friends you saved my life” Ratbag probably did save him he’s not an idiot
I feel like Ratbag went around Mordor after Sauron's defeat to find Talion's body. He still respected him and even considered him a friend. Give his friend a proper burial
Yeah, Talion treated him like shit for a long time and didn't deserve his friendship. He did start to warm up to Ratbag towards the end though, which is surprising since Talion hates Orcs in general because of how his family was killed. It's kind of like how Mando doesn't like Droids in the Mandolorian
In the beginning of SOM, you can see that Ratbag respects Talion out of fear and because he can help him rise the ranks, but as the story continues, you can see that there grows something between Talion and Ratbag... Friendship.
Which is an odd thing because you’d never expect to see friendship between an orc and a human. Even though Talion clearly despises or can’t stand Ratbag, he keeps him around, never really trying to kill him, just putting him in place.
@goblo023 Well the thing is they were bred for war, as corruptions of the elven race. They are rather industrious, and they have the notion of military discipline, so them making a civilization is highly likely if they ever got rid of the tribe mentality they have.
the thing I love about ragbag is that he would have a better chance succeeding (or least surviving) as anything else in life but an orc. Which sucks because he is one and he is a horrible orc. he hates fighting, he's a coward, he prefers to talk his way out of predicaments, he's not consumed with hate against everything and everyone, just people who've wronged him, he see's a human (talion) as his friend as well as an olog (ranger) and the one thing orcs hate more then humans are their own kind. he's small and he's a horrible war chief/captain. he's the least orcish orc in all of middle earth.
Yeah it's crazy how smart of a character he is. And I think it's that small and weak frame that built him to be that since he isn't strong enough to really be what an orc needs to be.
actually, that's very orcish. it's just that the cunt whore and history defiler tolkien twisted the story and projected character traits of humans and elf abominations on orcs and trolls, out of sheer hatred and spite. and then you have movies and games that perpetuate the prejudice.

Amazing how originally this was just another disposable orc used in a trailer to show off how the nemesis system worked. Then both fans and developers grew fond of him and made him one of the best characters in the duology.

I feel like Ratbag actually became less and less of a coward over the course of the two games. Like after all the shrakh he's been through he starts to toughen up bit by bit. In the first game he is constantly being slapped around and stabbed. In the next game he has his Olog pal that he saved. When the Olog gets snatched away Ratbag goes to save him. You can almost sense in his tone that he is fuckin pissed... oh wait... You can! I love it.
Funny thing is, Ratbag is the one and only Uruk who remained loyal to you throughout both games, and Talion didn't even need to use magic for that. He had many opportunities to betray Talion or to just take Ranger and run off to the far reaches of Mordor, but he never did. And I feel like there's some genuine good in Ratbag if he remained loyal even after the Hammer bashed him in the ribcage for going along with Talion's schemes. He took it like a champ and didn't even whine about it.

3:07 this is so inspirational Ratbag was just satisfied with being a war chief but next thing you know he becomes a Overlord if that not proof dreams come true idk what is
It's all about definition i.e. your fat percentage. Even if you barely have any muscle you still look pretty muscular if you just have basically no fat. With a modern diet it's fairly rare but with how little you can imagine ratbag eating it's not too unlikely, though sure, he still has more muscle mass than your average modern human.
@Martin Booth suppose it depends on the orc. Like in Return of the King where the orcs in Cirith Ungol argued over Frodo's "shiny shirt" - one wanted to keep it for himself, the other was going to give everything to the "Great Eye". I would think any orc that kept the Ring though wouldn't last too long. Sure they'd go invisible but they'd be hunted by jealous orcs, loyal orcs, all Nine Nazgul and everyone else every time they used it.
there should be a dlc in shadow of war were you can create your own orc captain and able to rise in power come your own class how you look and even the name
Well I knew he wasn't going to die cause how would you know that a hammer would kill a orc like that that's not how it's done it's mostly done by cutting the orcs limbs off and then they actually die but by hitting ratbag with a hammer that's a different story
@@ethankotoff210 yeah, even then, the orc could still come back. There's the Machine Orc, who gets put back together. Limp Leg, which as you can guess, have a peg leg.
I wonder when ratbag was captured he was with Zog the necromancer because he mentions he was captured with 2 cannibals 1 necromancer (Zog) and “ranger” the Olog who he saved
Sauron never dies, he is immortal. He can be defeated, but he will come back. He is a servant to Morgoth, so in the second game when he says “I serve no one” the game was wrong because he is a mere servant to Morgoth, the god of evil
I wouldnt say anger...since Ratbag would most likely be decapitated in less than a second if Talion was ever angry or serious enough to go sicko mode in battle. I'd say what he did here was just show a bit of irritation at Ratbag.
I was thinking, probably a dlc where you play as Ratbag in shadow of war, could be better then Elthariel one. Where you can't fight but Ratbag is so sneaky to use only the stealth or run away from his problem, raiding Ranger when you have to fight.
I don’t know why but the way Ratbag moves his arms how loose yet slick the animation is is amazing as well as kinda funny how his arms are also flyin everywhere as he talks
Seeing this stuff makes me wish more and more that they make a third game in this series. Being able to build an army out of your enemies is such a cool concept. And to be honest, I feel like if this series dies, then the Nemesis-system is just going to get shelved and remained copy-righted forever. If there is a third game, I hope they keep Talion as the main character. It would be awesome if they changed the cannon ending to Talion remaining as a half-human, half-Nazgul, half-wraith type of creature struggling through his darkness. It's a lot more interesting to have him not be a Nazgul in my opinion.
Could be interesting if you play as one of the other Nazgul, set prior to the Hobbit, and are in charge of gathering the Orcs back under Sauron’s banner and showing he’s returned.
I would pay to see how would ratbag joke about ranger if he would be a nazgul "Yes ranger, I mean nazgul, I mean my lord...." "Yeah but now that you're little not alive...Or you wasn't at al...or- *makes talion angry again*" stuff would be funny af ngl

I just love that game so much.
- Greetings from Germany
3:07 this is so inspirational Ratbag was just satisfied with being a war chief but next thing you know he becomes a Overlord if that not proof dreams come true idk what is
“Visualize your goals!”
Gets hit in the left side of his face, returns with scar on the right
i thought im the only one that thing of that
It's the exit wound that causes the most damage
@@BigDave18 exit wound from a *hammer?*
@@BigDave18 what exit wound? It was a blunt mace
@@kekk1459 I guess it was the spikes
"Maybe you haven't noticed, but I'm a mighty, vicious Olog's friend" Ratbag is strong confirmed
i want a game where we play as ratbag or ranger
K9vendetta The wolf of mordor A DLC?
It be a co-op game one plays the sneaky, sabotaging character the other plays the muscle, warrior character.
@@Mailed-Knight that would be so much fun
I just want a game with orcs only, fuck the humans
instead you gotta play as gollum soon... close enough?
Ratbag is one of the best trackers Uruk in middle earth
he may be a coward.. but he can be smart when the time comes... my kind of bloke :)
,,its kind of a long story.. renger killed overload now its ours. " BEST CHARACTER EVER!!!
Ratbag is skinny but he's ripped
It's all about definition i.e. your fat percentage. Even if you barely have any muscle you still look pretty muscular if you just have basically no fat. With a modern diet it's fairly rare but with how little you can imagine ratbag eating it's not too unlikely, though sure, he still has more muscle mass than your average modern human.
So we get Bruz and Ratbag. I love this
Next game, Ratbag gets a ring too
mikkelnpetersen omg yes 😀
@Martin Booth suppose it depends on the orc. Like in Return of the King where the orcs in Cirith Ungol argued over Frodo's "shiny shirt" - one wanted to keep it for himself, the other was going to give everything to the "Great Eye". I would think any orc that kept the Ring though wouldn't last too long. Sure they'd go invisible but they'd be hunted by jealous orcs, loyal orcs, all Nine Nazgul and everyone else every time they used it.
Martin Booth Uruk nazgul, That sounds awesome
Thatd be dope asf
there should be a dlc in shadow of war were you can create your own orc captain and able to rise in power come your own class how you look and even the name
Jordan Hoke heck yes I would pay good money for that
Hell yeah
I just thought, instead of making up a title like “ass-eater” or “powerful” you earn the title after doing certain acts
I shall be Shag the Poker
I want a series for Ratbag, Ranger, and a fellowship of Orcs.
They are just too wholesome for me to kill ❤
Damn bruz is salty af
19:34 When you accidentally piss off your friend with a Joke.
I’m guessing a lot of people thought ragbag was dead in the last game but guess again
"Soo much to catch up on! Where do I start!"
Loved it!!
I do like that you can't make Brûz the overlord after Ratbag mentions it. Talion respects Ratbag enough to listen to his council.
It made me sad when Brûz betrayed me.
I wanted keep him normal and keep being funny guess that doesn't last long does it
At least we have ratbag but he left
I like the attention to detail that in shadow of war ratbag has a large scar on the side of his head from where he got hit by The Hammer
"well I was captured by some slavers. actually they weren't all slavers. 2 of them were Cannibals. 1 was a Necromancer. fun bunch"
I love Ragbag.
I wonder when ratbag was captured he was with Zog the necromancer because he mentions he was captured with 2 cannibals 1 necromancer (Zog) and “ranger” the Olog who he saved
That is a good point I mean it is possible maybe he could have been captured by zog idk
*suffer me now* lmao this dude is the best
A living orc comedy legend basically
10:54 still love that scene
"Your a cruel one, 'Mr.Grinch'"
2:51
"So this Goroth is in charge?"
so that's where the balrog got its name.
I wonder what happen to Ratbag after sauron's death?
Living somewhere in morder with ranger surviving or traveling on cool adventures
@@sleepygamer2821 that should be a dlc
He becomes the 3rd Dark Lord.
Sauron never dies, he is immortal. He can be defeated, but he will come back. He is a servant to Morgoth, so in the second game when he says “I serve no one” the game was wrong because he is a mere servant to Morgoth, the god of evil
@@denglishjones oof
17:59 Am I the only person bothered that they left the Headhunter bit in the game, even after the update that axed off the marketplace?
Nah. I'm a bit miffed too.
@@xavierfaust9417 Good to know I'm not alone on this.
I got the game recently so that confused me
@@friccle_ Me too, actually started looking for the headhunter...
10:53 angriest talions been? Or was that when his wife was killed
He is always angry, but in that moment that rage in him exploded.
I was so happy to see Ratbag return in the second game. Shadow of War really solidified him as one of my favorite characters in the Shadow of- games.
I'll be honest man, I know Bruz betrayed us. But I felt real bad when he said "I didn't even want the fort." Or whatever. It's so sad.
You'd be the type of person to feel bad for rapists
Sucks that you cut out the part where ranger thinks tallion is talking to himself and doesn’t get a response. Made me chuckle
You know, I hadn’t played it for so long, I forgot how good the cutscenes were in shadow of Mordor.
My favorite quote from rat bag is when he uses a knife "it works".
18:57 dat face, he looks pissed
reason Talion didn't appoint RatBag as Overlord because he doesn't want him targeted
Im just gonna pretend ratbag and ranger olog is exploring morder and surviving
That's actually pretty accurate cause I'm sure that it's like that now for them
I like how you can see a scar on his head when he got hit by that hammer, for a coward he can’t be killed easily
I don’t know why but the way Ratbag moves his arms how loose yet slick the animation is is amazing as well as kinda funny how his arms are also flyin everywhere as he talks
28:11 HAHA
Ratbag and Gravewalker . we make quiet a team . why ignore me ?
is it because i said ratbag first ?
Seeing this stuff makes me wish more and more that they make a third game in this series. Being able to build an army out of your enemies is such a cool concept. And to be honest, I feel like if this series dies, then the Nemesis-system is just going to get shelved and remained copy-righted forever.
If there is a third game, I hope they keep Talion as the main character. It would be awesome if they changed the cannon ending to Talion remaining as a half-human, half-Nazgul, half-wraith type of creature struggling through his darkness. It's a lot more interesting to have him not be a Nazgul in my opinion.
pretty sure you cant half 3 things, more like quarter human quarter nazgul and quarter wraith to be more exact
pretty sure u cant quarter 3 things, more like a third human third nazgul third wraith to be more exact
Could be interesting if you play as one of the other Nazgul, set prior to the Hobbit, and are in charge of gathering the Orcs back under Sauron’s banner and showing he’s returned.
11:02 Can anyone explain why his eyes turned red? I never understood that.
eyes rolling up due to pain. uruk have red/yellow eyes.
