@@jackie_is_here I don't know what to think about it either. I keep going back and forth in my mind whether it was the dad, or not. That alibi is hard to get around, but there was definitely a lot of motive too, on top of the daughter's statements. Maybe the friend's are incorrect, or confused about the time that the visit ended???? It would be odd (I would think) for a robber to not take any cash that was there, and pay no attention to the safes at all. Then there were all the phone calls like he was trying to set it up, at the very least. Without more evidence I would definitely have some reasonable doubt, but at the same time I think it very likely was him.
Edit: I can't believe that the police in New York are not required to videotape, or record the audio when questioning suspects. So basically we are just supposed to take their word that the suspect said what they claim they said. That is messed up.

Is it possible that the husband killed his wife before the poker game and set up the scenario with his fired employee to go there so he could frame him? And that the employees second story that he went there and found her dead was true? He thought about the gps in his truck as an alibi, using other peoples phones, etc. He clearly thought it through and was plotting something with the ex employee. His daughter is so adamant that it was her daddy. She also describes it as her daddy’s eyes, makes other references to it being him. Even if it it WASN’T him who physically killed her, for his daughter to assume the most likely person who would murder her mother was her father, is telling I think, as I assume that’s not a child’s typical reaction in such a situation.

If Thomas Clayton _really_ did hire Michael Beard to do what he did, the initial plan was to burn down the house. I mean, any domestic murder is abhorrent but burning down a house with not only your wife but two young children inside is beyond monstrous! To so callously assign price tags to your family’s lives, the family that loves and supports you, is disgusting and depraved. If this is all true then I hope Thomas is continually haunted by his actions and suffers for the rest of his miserable life.
And Michael is a POS as well.

Narcopaths are not haunted by their actions as they lack empathy and guilt. They don't have a conscience to nag at them. So they have no remorse for their actions. This Tom guy, thought that he was being just so clever -
    Using another car
Using another phone always to call the same person/people
Being at his regular poker game.
His actions are so suss to me, like -
The purchase of the bicycle for the “friend”
The borrowing of the other vehicle again, for the friend to use.
The increase of his wife’s life insurance just before she was beaten to death.
The statements of the 16 year old girl (niece).
And finally, all of the incredible work done by “the expert” that looked into and cross referenced ALL of his electronic activities - all his phone calls, his vehicle movements, his locations for each and every electronic action and any and all CCTV related to his movements, and his mobile phone’s movements.
The “gotcha” moment for me was the phone calls. Asking to use someone else’s phone whenever he wanted to call the other guy.
Everyone saw his phone at the poker game and then he lied about it being in his car or something like that. Why?
Why else would you do that?
    Gotcha!!
What an absolutely pathetic bastard. I hope that he makes lots of “buddies” in prison, buddies that are aware that he had this done while his little daughter, his kids listened to it all happening.
