Walking away from the mafia is like walking away from your family, brothers sisters and he took that risk. He probably had all kinds of people hunting him down and torturing him in prison. He knew them. But he wasn’t close to them like the movie portrays. Made guys were discouraged from associating with guys from other families.
One of the first multi-family “crews” was Fox Jerothe, Tommy DiSimmone (Pesci from GoodFellas) and Sal Palosi. Supposedly, this was orchestrated by Carlo Gambino because he wanted to slowly start merging the 5 Families into 1 with Gambino as The Boss.

In the beginning of the video it shows his website and his books towards the end of the video and I’m sure your questions would be answered if you read there. You will not regret it. He said in the video he’s done a ton of talks and I got to witness it. Truly amazing. If you figure it out I’d love to know. Wish I could help but it’s been a minute since his speech. I mostly remember my emotions towards the talk and him talking about his kids and wife everything else is blur
