I have a true vintage Chanel single flap. One of the reasons I invested in Chanel is becuz they had a refurbishing and refinishing program. Well they decided to change their policy and now will no longer refurbish or refinish any Chanel handbag that is 5 or more years old. That to me says that the handbags being produced today will break down before 5 years or they will break down shortly after 5 years and Chanel does not want to deal with repairs any more. Regardless Chanel lost me as a customers. People who purchase vintage Chanel need to be told this change of policy before committing to purchase.

I have the Vintage Jumbo Chanel bag and for that same reason I only use it on certain occasions just to avoid any damage that might need any vintage replacement in the future which I might not find at Chanel stores. It's pity but as you mentioned , Chanel has limitation , well every brand does I suppose. Thanks for your helpful videos .

Because I see the hardware of CC lock doesn't have the little mark on the left side of CC logo, this is a vintage bag from 1997. And you said CC logos if they are made in France need to have that mark, the red I show you is made in France but the "made in France is not in the front packet like usually is, the red one has the made in France below the chanel on the flap. Would you know if Chanel varies their chain drop length back before in the 80s? My vintage small flap seems to be shorter compared to others, it is around 14.5inch...

i recently bought a classic flap bag in medium. the strap where the two ends meet looks a bit strange to me. can u please do a video on close up of the straps cause the way my straps link together looks a bit awkward. the chain difficult to move through the round (circle) ports of the bag at the top.
Hello Winnie, could you please advise me if there's a way to stop the quilt from deflating over time and if the deflated quilt affects the resale value of the bag. I have a vintage from 1990 as well as a newer one and I want to slow or even stop the deflation if that's possible. TIA!

Hi, I noticed some hall markings have different designs, one has 3 lines going vertically and one with some sort of symbol Ive seen a couple vintage bags with symbols that are less common than the one with the lines. Does channel have only one authentic mark ( the lines) or are there many? if so how many?

I am purchasing a preloved vintage classic double flap bag with silver hardware, the CC lock in front does not have a stamp and you mentioned made in Italy? yet the inside says made in France.. It has perfect markings, smell of leather, feels of soft luxury lamb leather, yet now I am concerned of the authenticity. I think I need to send to you for spa and for authentication?

I’m trying to understand hallmarks on my vintage Chanel bags. (tbh ~ Chanel is the main brand I personally collect, I love vintage gold ones in Lambskin.😍) Once I started collecting Chanel bags ~ It made me quit caring about any other brands.. however ~ Idc for the newer Chanel models. I own a few & the quality is soo horrible compared to vintage ones..😭🤯 But I’m trying to find information on the hallmark they put on the turnlock. For instance I have some vintage ones with the hallmark on the left top cc then some with lines on it on the right bottom cc, one of mine even has one on the right top & the letters inside them vary. I would love to know more about what each symbol and placement means. I know Theyr all 24kt gold plated. But idk why they kept changing the hallmark and the placement?.

i notice that some of the vintage chanel logos have a bigger copy right "R" than the newer ones. Is that authentic? Also, I came across some vintage chanel bags sold in japan with a slightly thinner authenticity cards. is there any chance vintage chanel bags have thinner cards?
Yeah I have a preloved Chanel with large R on the flat gold logo and I've been trying to research about it but couldn't find one. I'm glad I saw your comment. Now I know it does exist and it's just a matter of confirming the authenticity of it.

I'm looking at one now I'm OBSESSING over. It's definitely older. In the family of this vintage one. Everything seems legit......but the back pocket is a tiny bit off in lining up, front also.....and I can Not find a photo of the inner lip cc stitch like the one I'm looking at. It's flat not puffed. It's ALOT of money to run the risk of being a vintage replica.
Killer is some of the close close closeup I get when expanding the picture. It seems to have that slight Hermes type hand stitch look. Not completely up and down, but a bit off to the left in each bite....it's a killer. The poor obsession.

From previous video some time ago I learned that there should not be a machine stitching on the leather chain strap. BUT in this video I see obviously that there is a stitching on the leather of the strap. It is confusing . Is this hand bags in this video are fake one ?
The bag I bought from this company *esluxscom* was of good size and quality. There are three compartments inside. and an exterior zip pocket. Has adjustable shoulder strap. Shipping time was as long as expected. The packaging is not stained. The bag is filled with tissue paper to maintain its shape. Not packed in a box.

I can tell you Now ~ I DO NOT THINK THE NEWER MODELS COULD LAST 20+ yrs. I got my boy bag in 2014? It’s a gorgeous red Lambskin. However ~ idc to ever carry it. The quality is lacking 💯%.! The stitches have already started to come undone on the one side of the bag & The Lock on mine has already gotten very loose feeling, almost like it’s going to come off bag.😢 Then the chain is soo lightweight compared to my vintage bags chains.🙄🙄 It’s already tarnished in spots too... 🤦🏼♀️😭 I think about reselling it, Cos it sits on display in my closet. I’m almost afraid to use it Cos what if I break it more?. It’s gorgeous to look at but ~ Another HUGE ISSUE W/it is the stupid chain rips my hair out when I carry it. 🙄😢It’s dreadful. Great video. Could you please make a video about the vintage turnlock hallmarks?. I would greatly appreciate it. I want to know all about them and why some are placed on right side or left,top or bottom and what the letters and symbol inside the hallmark mean?. i think vintage bags are awesome, i also have two-one from the 80‘s in lamb and one from the 90‘s in caviar (all my other chanels arent vintage) and i like them both a lot :)
the quality was definitely different on the vintage bags. however i personally dont like the huge CC hardwear on some vintage bags at all-its way to in your face and makes it very loud wich i think istn the vibe a chanel bag usually goes for. i alao dont like the bags like the GST and PST wich have the giant CC on them-i like it more subtle and classy but thats all about personal preference, no shade to anybody who loves those styles ☺️
Mentioning Kim Kardickian is a real turn off. And I used to love Chanel bags....
