Another Matt’s moments banger- I love the colour scheme of the economy class. Also, I think I saw your flight leaving Milan on the flight radar! I was going to London that day and I love planes so I always check the radar for 747s or A380s. Have a great day and love from England!
Nice! We were on the same flight EK0205 last week, only ours was the shrink wrapped A380. Long story short, this was the best economy experience I ever had.
Yea, wrapping your luggage in plastic wrap just seems silly in my humble opinion. I’m doing JFK to Dubai in economy and then business class on the return in February, I can’t wait. I’m not doing the stop in Milan however, it’ll be direct flight both ways.
The A380 is my totally fav flying carpet in this day and age Matt. The enormity of it once on board is staggering. I have flown on BA's A380's 6 times now ( 5 times in First and once in CW upper cabin, on trips to Hong Kong, Jo Burg, & San Francisco ). Sadly BA don't have Cameras fitted so you can't watch what's happening because BA is run by miserable buggers more interested in £$ than fun. I took my Mum to the Maldives a few years ago ( because she's worth it! ) and flew with Emirates in Business Class, but all on 777's. The business class on Emirates was as good as BA First for sure.
Policies for bags seemed reasonable but not overly strict and hounding people about bags. Staff was super helpful, friendly, and smiling. Food was amazing for economy. 9/10
this might be to delay potential theft from luggage?. I noticed many paying for this at the Milan airport last fall. @@mattsmoments2 more plastic....:(
Hi Matt, I just want to ask how many bags did you carry on? Emirates seem quite strict about baggage rules as I believe you can only carry one bag on and one checked baggage, and you probably can't take a small personal item I assume?
I know this is quite late, but I've found that Emirates is strict on cabin bags but generous on hold bags. If your checked baggage limit is 25kg (or possibly even 30kg) you can actually have multiple bags in the hold, at no extra cost, as long as you stay within that weight limit. Several times I've packed a small empty rucksack in my large case on the way out, filled it with souvenirs at my destination, and then checked it in as a second bag (within my overall weight limit) for the journey home.
It is too bad that no major US airline ever acquired the A380. It might fly into some airports within the United States on whatever foreign airlines operate it. There are now only 3 major US airlines left, American, Delta, and United Airlines. Other former major US Airlines, like Eastern, Northwest Orient, and TWA, no longer exist. Eastern Airlines went belly up, and closed up shop in 1991. Northwest Orient got bought out by Delta, and TWA got bought out by American Airlines. All these airlines did have the 747's in their fleet, but they have all now retired the 747. The 747 and the A380 were the only double decker aircraft ever produced. The 747's upper deck only took up the first 1/3 of the aircraft, but the A380, both levels took up the entire length of the aircraft. Both aircraft are now out of production, so obviously the 3 remaining major US airlines will never acquire the A380. The 777, or as some call it, the Triple 7, has now replaced the 747 for most of the airlines that operated it. The Triple 7 is a pretty good sized plane that can accommodate between 300 and 400 passengers, but us about 20 feet shorter than the 747 was, and has no upper deck. The only other aircraft ever produced that was bigger than the 747 and the A380 was the Lockheed C-5A, but that one was only a military transport aircraft, and never an airliner.
Favorite plane growing up is cliche but the queen of the skies. I did also love all 4 engine planes starting with the C-130. I grew up all around the world on military bases
I know I totally messed up on the ticket graphic in the beginning. SMH oops!
I'm going from JFK to Milan this year so this video is good to get an idea of what the Milan airport is like. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I’m glad I was able to help. Thank you for watching

Hey dude, Emirates feeds you 30 mins after boarding!😂
Do they serve wine in economy?
If I remember correctly I believe they will serve you a white or red wine.
how was the flight from one to ten? Good customer service? were they strict with the baggage rules

I checked a bag and had my backpack as a carryon.

Thank you for that info. That’s very interesting
