I just flew Melbourne Australia to Cairo via Dubai return on the A380 with Emirates. It was a fantastic flight! I was in economy. I’m old - 70 - and I do find economy tedious and squashed. But after traveling many of the works airlines, Emirates is there absolute best! The planes are actually CLEAN, the service is wonderful, plenty of meal services, friendly and helpful staff with a smile and no masks! I was even able to change my seat by using the Emirates chat service in the app. Free change to Bulkhead. Other airlines are uncontactable. Other airlines don’t provide enough meals on long haul flights and staff disappear. Not on Emirates. Staff are always available. Congratulations to Emirates! The best airline in the world. Next time I fly with them I’ll try to get an exit row, as I can’t afford business class.

Great video footage. The food looked great! For me I much prefer to relax. The middle isle just looked too cramped. The take off, and landing seat looked great!! Shame they didn’t let you stay there. Great video Mark. Firstly, congrats on subs total. Well deserved. The economy class flight looked good, along with meal choices. The reclining seat in front would be a problem, especially if using the screen or tablet. Also would prefer an outside or window seat. However, was impressed overall with the facilities on offer. Emirates certainly make full use of the 380 it shows just how successful the aircraft can be if operated as it was intended. Food service looked pretty impressive for an economy flight.

Dear Mark. Great review. Glad to have your narrative back plus the little French man! I flew the same airline/aircraft in February but from Manchester. I agree with everything you say. I then took a B777 Emirates late night flight to India and I have to say that was an even better experience on economy and the (Indian) food was incredible. I preferred the cabin atmosphere and structure compared to that of the A380 which is so expansive. I look forward to your next episode. Best wishes.

It's an upward spiral, you could see it in any company. The staff know that their airline is the best, their moral goes sky-high, they do a better job and pass on their enthusiasm. The airline gets great reviews; becomes more popular - rinse and repeat. Also better job candidates are attracted to the airline and the selection process at Emirates is very tough.
@@hovelad8214 Yeah, well there's plenty of people in the queue to join Emerites, it's just a virtuous circle. And they recruit globally too, when I flew BC, my FA (beautiful) was from Khazakstan.

Birmingham airport is a nightmare at the moment. i usually go through once or twice a month with work, and the whole fiasco with them renovating the upstairs security room is beyond a joke. It’s not uncommon to have to wait an hour and a half atleast at the moment to get through security. I feel bad for the security/airport staff who recieve constant abuse from people who are waiting in the lines and who blame them for the wait. Whoever is in charge of the renovation needs to get things moving big time.

Hi Phil, we got 2 separate drinks services and also drinks were offered with both meals so 4 all in all on a 7 hour flight 🤩 I don’t think Emirates can be beaten in Economy 😁
Hi Kim, with a break in Dubai for three or four hours just to stretch your legs and have change of scenery. I think I could probably do it. I don’t think I’d want the middle seat though, I’d probably go for an aisle seat so I could keep getting up and keep stretching my legs. Are you thinking about doing it or have you done it?
Everything is going downhill in Birmingham after their relegation from the Championship. I wouldn't want to be stuck in a middle seat. Maybe Emirates offers seat selection for a fee for economy passengers?

Not all Emirates A380s have been retrofitted in economy! Come on Emirates, time to upgrade all the A380s out of Auckland. It's a 17 hour flight to Dubai.

I agree that sear shouldn't be reclined during a day flight. I had the same issue with the table with singapore airlines on the a350
