Ever wonder why Texans are so proud? Well, this is one of many examples.

Incredible musician with amazing groove and very tasty note choices. People don't realize there listening to the best blues Guitarist AND Blues Bassist you'll ever here. Saw SRV play at Nicollet Island in the middle of the Mississippi River between Minneapolis and St. Paul. Absolutely one of the best concerts I have ever witnessed. I use the word witness because it is the most accurate descriptor possible for an SRV concert. Something akin to a religious experience occurs because Stevie would completely give everything he had, and those lucky enough to be there would give it all right back. Sometimes this world is cruel, like when Stevie left. R.I.P.

Heard about SRV when I was a kid in the mid 80s went to see him in Manchester apollo about 88/89 he was the best of the best he was a genius and to see him live was unforgettable my own opinion the best guitarist ever by far shed a tear the day he went
