    You can cut off the ic2 and resolder and ec2 connector on the motor plug and there are ec2 to ic2 plugs available. Allows you to run ic2 or ec2 with that setup at least until spektrum comes out with the proper ic2 to ec2. I would be more of a fan of spektrum smart batteries if their connectors weren't proprietary.

      @@Lost_Hwasal Most of the racers at our track have made the switch the other way. After 2 years of racing, EC2 plugs have started failing pretty regular. The wires are breaking where they are soldered to the plug and you have no way to fix it without replacing the whole plug. With IC2's they can simply be resoldered if the wire breaks. The IC2 is just a better plug. Besides many racers are going to the Spektrum 810mah packs because the have a measurable performance difference over the Gens Ace and Protek packs and they already have them. We've run performance cycles on them all and the Spektrum 810mah packs have much lower internal resistance than any other pack out there.

    Considering selling my pro roller kit complete to buy a new RTR with updated parts. would this be a better value than buying the parts individually and upgrading? I dont race so maybe its not worth it for tunability but I do have issues with losing spring cups and the new servo saver has me interested. Good informative video btw

      The biggest bonuses on the new RTRs are the stronger transmission case, stronger front bulkhead, and the servo setup. The spring cups are a nice bonus. Parts like the aluminum bellcrank and the shocks from the pro roller would be beneficial to swap over.

    How do you charge the battery on a better charger? As in, the battery has an IC2 connector, my charger has IC3. Is there an adaptor cable?

    is it recommended to set endpoints?

    • @hobbytowncincinnatircraceway
      @hobbytowncincinnatircraceway  5 місяців тому +1

      Setting proper endpoints will prevent the servo from burning up when hitting the mechanical steering stops. Without the endpoints set correctly, the servo will burn up trying to turn beyond the physical limit.

    What tires do you recommend for the front?

      Common at our track are Pro-Line Carpet Wedges. With some drivers running the newer JConcepts Fuzz Bites. The Fuzz Bites are directional and smaller diameter, they take a different setup to run. Pro-Lines over the last two years have been the most consistent and long lasting of all the carpet fronts.

      @@hobbytowncincinnatircraceway Thanks for your quick response, What are the best TLR (Team Losi Racing) upgrades do you recommend, and also do you ship?

    • @hobbytowncincinnatircraceway
      @hobbytowncincinnatircraceway  26 днів тому

      The webstore hobbytown.com ships. At our track not everyone is using TLR hop-ups, but each of them have a purpose. The most common at our track are the shocks, cars land plusher with them. Along with the rear CVs in Pro Stock. Larger bearings and less resistance than dogbones. Front wings and the heavy front springs help over some of our bigger jumps, especially in Brushless Mod. The sway bars help on high speed and larger tracks, carbon towers for more shock positions, and rear pills for adjusting toe in to 1.5 from the stock 3.0 degrees.
