Tatiana Shmayluk is a vocal goddess who loves Gwen Stefani. Able to switch and combine metal with rap, or reggae, or R&B, or jazz. Vlad the drummer is a classically trained pianist who can play Rachmaninov by memory. Roman the lead and Eugene the bassist are equally incredible. The whole band is just unbelievable together.
Jinjer is the GOAT. Truly amazing artists. Perennial live at Wacken, Judgement & Punishment one take vocal, Vortex, Wallflower, Disclosure, Mediator, Call Me A Symbol, Teacher Teacher. Welcome to the Jinjer family!
Can you provide a source for this? Because I've seen three interviews with her where she mentions Otep Shamaya and Sandra Nasic as her primary influences.
@@lauraclark427 here's an interview with her talking about No Doubt (in a Tragic Kindom shirt) ua-cam.com/video/JdvLP-tr2Y8/v-deo.html Hard to say primary influences as she has a lot - in interviews (many older) she talks about Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Gwen Stefani for cleans - Otep, Chad Gray, Randy Blythe for harsh. But there are plenty of others, it seems clear since the pandemic that there's been a fairly strong Layne Staley influence too. edit: forgot Sandra, you are right on that also.
check out "Perennial (live at Wacken)" for a live performance, "Judgement&Punishment (vocal one take)" to see Tatiana's vocal technique, but my favorite is "Teacher, Teacher (official video)", its complex, hard, funky, beautiful, core Jinjer.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you guys appreciate the musicianship of all the band members. Tatiana is amazing, yes, but most reactors can’t get past her voice. You guys saw and heard it all! Bravo and thank you! ❤
I saw them live here in Chile in 2018, Tatiana..well her aura is something...i will remember that concert all my life...recommendations: who is gonna be the one, captain clock, teacher teacher, vortex
No, thank YOU for a great reaction, it's soooooo nice to see a reaction to this song where the reactors are not just "blown away that sound is coming from a female", but someone that can appreciate how awesome and tight this band and performance is as a unit, and the nuances that going into creating a great track like this. Great job guys!! ✌💚
*Love how the guy on the right did not notice at first it was her doing it, LOL. never gets old to see first timers to them. It's holding at 83 million views for a reason*
Funny you should mention Gwen Stephani. She and Amy Winehouse are two of Tatiana's influences. So you heard right after all. Given where you are coming from (professional audio and music) with reactions I would highly recommend the Jinjer videos Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air 2019, I Speak Astronomy, Judgement and Punishment One Take Vocal, Pit of Consciousness Live in Kyiv, Teacher Teacher, Home Back, Wallflower and Mediator. Tatiana normally uses an SM7B in the studio. She prefers the dynamic mics for the reason you stated.
"Live" -sort of, definitely performed live in the studio. This track originally posted to promote the new drummer - Vlad is classically trained and awesome - but most reactors get swept away by the vocals. There is some obvious post-processing (you guys are into production and can tell), but Tatiana will soon show you that she does not need it in a live setting, and will blow crowds away. Interesting and entertaining reaction guys!
Just subbed in to your channel. Love me some Jinjer. Seen them live twice. Perennial live at Waken is a must watch. Also official videos for Vortex and Home Back. Thanks for a great reaction
Just got Jinjered. Do yourselves a favor and try to get to a live show. They are the REAL DEAL. A real musicians band. Probably the most versatile sound mashup in metalcore today.
The “Superfecta” of Progressive Hard Rock, Hard Rock Trio, Progressive Groove Metal, and Power Metal: Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, and Lovebites -- all pushing their core genres into the next realm! 🤘 🤘 🤘🤘
Excelente ! Another please !! OutLander , Perenial , Judgement & Punishment . Oficial or live performance...All Amazing display of Talented !! Bravooo !!! Live this year in Santiago de Chile .Teatro Caupolican .Diciembre 2024.
I liked your reaction to JinJer. I'd never heard of the band before yesterday. Your reaction is similar to mine. Blown away. I have a recommendation as well. Kevin Gilbert. He died way too early, and has an incredible following of people who know his back story and his undeniable musical talent. "Thud" is my second favorite album of his. I suggest reading up on "The Shaming of the True" and listen to it in one seating. (my favorite album of his) Truly amazing work. It's his Rock Opera (Think Tommy by the Who) and was finished posthumously by his friends. Thanks for what you do.
Ahhh... you found Jinjer! Time for the rabbit hole. Vortex, Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019), Home Back, Teacher Teacher, Wallflower, Judgement (& Punishment) - One Take ...or the full version. I could go on but I'll leave you two with those :)
you guys are in for a ride with this band, perennial, teacher, teacher, who is going to be the one and my favorite, call me a symbol. and gwenn is on of her idols BTW.
They mix a lot of jazz elements into their music. They have a song called Home Back that begins hard, but then contains a bossa nova breakdown. Literally bossa nova. And yet it sonehow works!
Especially considering she's writing in her third language! (She's from Donetsk, so her first language is probably Russian, with Ukrainian as second, English at least third.)
Gwen Stefanie and Sandra Nasic (from guano apes) are one of her early influences and we can hear that in so many songs. The musician ship of this whole band is out of this world.
What she does is called false chord singing/growling. What makes her so unique is her ability to switch between growling and clean voice so flawlessly, easily and quickly.
Definitely their best song and this version features a vocal style not duplicated in concert. Check out Tatiana's solo vocal performance of Judgement & Punishment with an audio recording of the band playing instrumentals. It is killer. Nice job guys!
The whole band have just mad skills. Vlad is one of my favorite metal drummers, check out his play-throughs. Tatiana's vocal prowess may be exceeded by her lyric writing, just beautifully written. Eugene is a monster bassist, and Roman just calmly lays down killer riffs. They excel live, I've seen them 3 times and can't wait to again. Tatiana is absolutely magnetic as a front woman, you can't take your eyes off her.
I mean, they double (sometimes triple) her voice in the growling parts and use some clever production techniques, but it's still fantastic, so well done and she's awesome live. What's not to love? Great, great band.
I don't believe you didn't know her so far :) Recommending "JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance" next, just to boost your appetite :) Then you can take anything she does (choose live concerts :) and you cannot be dissapointed.
I’m very surprised that you didn’t know Jinjer. You just discovered the Force that is Tatiana! Interestingly, she considers Gwen Stefani to be one of her main influences! React to JUDGEMENT AND PUNISHMENT-ONE TAKE and you will see ! Very different types of music, but many fans of The Warning are also fans of Jinjer
Jinjer doesn't have a bad song. I've seen them live, they're as outstanding live as they are here. Also, this one is kind of a stand-out from a lot of their stuff. Try Teacher, Teacher! next. And do the official one for the best... Mm.. Impact.
Hey guys when you want to go even deeper in this genre i can recommend : arch enemy, butcher babies, the agonist ,sicksense etc.. for sure too and yss tatiana is a beast i ve seen them one time love and it was amazing
Tatiana is actually a huge Gwen Stefani fan and she has said she had an influence on her. The Judgement & Punishment (one take vocal performance) really demonstrates this.
Yep yep yep that be JINJER. I’m also a trained jazz musician and I have the same take on them that you do. You guys are in for a trip, you’re going to hear grooves and complex time signatures and poly rhythms never before heard in metal and out of this world bass lines (Eugene) and all held together by the guitar player Roman and the drummer Vlad. Tatiana is going to blow you away with her voicing styles from these demonic growls that will go unbelievably deep to sounding like the angel that you wish would sing lullaby’s to you before you sleep. Welcome to the world of JINJER!! *Check out the lyrics Tatiana writes, they hit different and have a lot of meaning to them. *my recommendation for the next reaction will be “Who’s gonna be the one” live then “Perennial” live Wacken” “Vortex” video etc…wow to many to list!
You should check out their track "Judgement , Punishment". If you look up some earlier Jinjer, you'll really get the Gwen Stefani vibes with the look to. Sit, Stay, Roll Over is a good one and also Outlander. Those are some older songs that are really good.
Tati is an absolute beast of a frontperson. She's as good as it gets. And Vlad is the best drummer in the genre. I love his all business kit: Snare, 2 floor toms, kick, high hat, and a metric fuck ton of Ks.
It is rare to see the actual reaction on the faces and gesturse that people do, rather than on their words. You did a phenomanel Job at beeing honest(!) and you guys were not overwhelmed by tatijanas voice, but get a good grip on the bandmembers that shine the light on her. I would apprechiated your thoughts after you hearded the whole song.
I am not sure if you read comments but as musicians and as you like drumming, may I recommend that you listen to this band from Australia, Ne Obviliscaris with their song And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope Live from Colorado 2016... fantastic tune with great pro audio... with some of surprises. You will not be disappointed, it is like discover Nightwish or Jinjer for the first time

They are a once in a generation phenomenon
I hear the Gwen influence now that you mentioned it. Yeah, I'm a fan of Gwen's too. Tati is amazing.
I always said that yeeeeeee Someone think like me she just got similair Voice for real (Gwen)
Thanks for the summary, drummer (Vlad) is no doubt classically trained.
Tatiana would be flattered you compared them to no doubt. She's a HUGE Gwen Stefany's fan.
That song is a fucking masterpiece, not only the voice, but the instrumental is exquisite.
Seeing people react to Jinjer for the first time NEVER gets old!
Check out Teacher Teacher, Perennial and Judgement and Punishment!
This is the list!
Just need to add Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev)
Tatiana (singer/lyricist) has said Gwen Stefani is her primary influence. She also said the purpose of this video was to show off their new drummer.
Can you provide a source for this? Because I've seen three interviews with her where she mentions Otep Shamaya and Sandra Nasic as her primary influences.

@@lauraclark427I think it was her interview with Elizabeth Zharoff (The Charismatic Voice) where I heard it.

Tatiana is a world-class growler with the clean voice of an angel. Jinjer is one of the best bands in metal today.
Tatiana is a goddess... amazing vocal control. This band is TIGHT! Perfection!!!
check out "Perennial (live at Wacken)" for a live performance, "Judgement&Punishment (vocal one take)" to see Tatiana's vocal technique, but my favorite is "Teacher, Teacher (official video)", its complex, hard, funky, beautiful, core Jinjer.
I just love watching people react to Jinjer for the first time. They are fabulous!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you guys appreciate the musicianship of all the band members. Tatiana is amazing, yes, but most reactors can’t get past her voice. You guys saw and heard it all! Bravo and thank you! ❤
the tune is a masterpiece itself, the arrangement is great, ans the singing is almost from another planet
I saw them live here in Chile in 2018, Tatiana..well her aura is something...i will remember that concert all my life...recommendations: who is gonna be the one, captain clock, teacher teacher, vortex
2:23 the moment your Jinjer cherry was popped! Tati is a metal goddess!

So glad to watch a Reaction from musicians who know about recording too.
you must watch a Perenial (live)... by Jinger too.
This band is severely underrated. They should be way more famous than they are for their level of talent. Tati is a beast!
Perennial live at Wacken shows her talent well. My favorite performance is Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev
JINJER, my fave band of all time. Finally saw them in Syracuse, NY, Aug. 12, 2023. AMAZING band...the best at what they do.
"Live" -sort of, definitely performed live in the studio. This track originally posted to promote the new drummer - Vlad is classically trained and awesome - but most reactors get swept away by the vocals. Slight correction: Vlad is a classically trained pianist. He taught himself to play drums for his previous band.
yeah some people get bent out of shape by the post-processing, but its still a "live session" and its awesome
The vocal track is lifted from the original studio recording.
Jinjer = Killer 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Go n'éirí an t-ádh libh ☘
Welcome to Jinjer! I hope you continue with this amazing band, they have a very deep catalog of awesome songs for you to discover!
I love when you go into a Pisces reaction and can immediately tell that Jinjer is about to gain some new fans
Just subbed in to your channel. Love me some Jinjer. Seen them live twice. Perennial live at Waken is a must watch. Also official videos for Vortex and Home Back. Thanks for a great reaction
"First time Tatiana" face always cracks me up.
Just got Jinjered. Do yourselves a favor and try to get to a live show. They are the REAL DEAL. A real musicians band. Probably the most versatile sound mashup in metalcore today.
Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band is top tier. I recommend "Perennial" live at Wacken as a follow up. Good reaction (Subbed)
The “Superfecta” of Progressive Hard Rock, Hard Rock Trio, Progressive Groove Metal, and Power Metal: Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, and Lovebites -- all pushing their core genres into the next realm! 🤘 🤘 🤘🤘
Drummer is a bit jazzy. That's why he sounds as he does. He can pound when needed too. Love the skills.
Excelente ! Another please !! OutLander , Perenial , Judgement & Punishment . Oficial or live performance...All Amazing display of Talented !! Bravooo !!! Live this year in Santiago de Chile .Teatro Caupolican .Diciembre 2024.
Saw their first ever American concert last year. Rockfest Wisconsin booked them and they were awesome live.
Jinjer are phenomenal! Tati is a Goddess. You should check out Perennial Live at Wacken 2019 next
I liked your reaction to JinJer. I'd never heard of the band before yesterday. Your reaction is similar to mine. Blown away. I have a recommendation as well. Kevin Gilbert. What is awesome about her, she is so sweet and humble in real life. I went to the concert and she was so nice. A good soul.
Ahhh... you found Jinjer! Time for the rabbit hole. Vortex, Perennial (Live at Wacken Open Air 2019), Home Back, Teacher Teacher, Wallflower, Judgement (& Punishment) - One Take ...or the full version. I could go on but I'll leave you two with those :)
I got to see them a few months back at Jones Beach in NY (opened for Disturbed). They were so good.
you guys are in for a ride with this band, perennial, teacher, teacher, who is going to be the one and my favorite, call me a symbol. and gwenn is on of her idols BTW.
Jinjer is amazing to hear, check out a lot more of them.
She has such and amazing voice
They mix a lot of jazz elements into their music. They have a song called Home Back that begins hard, but then contains a bossa nova breakdown. Literally bossa nova. And yet it sonehow works!
Ive seen them 2x Tatiana is a f'n machine. The bands complexity often gets overlooked by her insane vocals
As awesome as Tatiana’s vocals and the playing of the guys is, the lyrical content is just as impressive.
Especially considering she's writing in her third language! (She's from Donetsk, so her first language is probably Russian, with Ukrainian as second, English at least third.)
The band are awesome musicians. Jazz drummer for groove metal. And if you like bass, Eugene is a beast. And of course, Tati.
Gwen Stefanie and Sandra Nasic (from guano apes) are one of her early influences and we can hear that in so many songs.
The musician ship of this whole band is out of this world.
It may never stop. Two more souls snatched up by the great Tati and hung on the wall in her very large trophy room where she sits and smiles softly.
lol-so true!
More Jinjer! They are such a great band!
always fun watching peeps react to this song 😃
Got to see jinjer live when they opened for disturbed last summer. They were amazing live
You guys gotta check out their song 'Teacher, Teacher' the official video live performance. It's freakin sick.
👍Jinjer scares me in a good way.😉 🖖❤
What she does is called false chord singing/growling. What makes her so unique is her ability to switch between growling and clean voice so flawlessly, easily and quickly.
finally got to see them live a few months ago, they did not disappoint.. amazing show..
you guys should do the new DELAIN either "MOTH TO A FLAME" or "THE QUEST AND THE CURSE"
Definitely their best song and this version features a vocal style not duplicated in concert. Check out Tatiana's solo vocal performance of Judgement & Punishment with an audio recording of the band playing instrumentals. It is killer. Nice job guys!
You just stumbled into a deep rabbit hole. Enjoy!
The whole band have just mad skills. Vlad is one of my favorite metal drummers, check out his play-throughs. Tatiana's vocal prowess may be exceeded by her lyric writing, just beautifully written. Note that this song was recorded in this way to showcase their new drummer (so I'm told), and I say that he delivered, very versatile drummer,
Been awhile since I watched a Jinjer reaction. 😂❤
Welcome to your New favorite band!
I mean, they double (sometimes triple) her voice in the growling parts and use some clever production techniques, but it's still fantastic, so well done and she's awesome live. What's not to love? Great, great band.
JEFF was HERE 🏆

Great reaction guys, great band. Love Jinjer
Next should be Perennial

Finally someone mentions the RE-20. She's still a beast on an sm-58 live, but it really gives her oomph here.
I don't believe you didn't know her so far :)
Recommending "JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) - Tatiana Shmayluk - One Take Vocal Performance" next, just to boost your appetite :)
Then you can take anything she does (choose live concerts :) and you cannot be dissapointed.

Very different types of music, but many fans of The Warning are also fans of Jinjer
You are right about the Incubus bit ,filled in with a bit of Rush's Fountain of Lamneth
Volume up!!! Be prepared to be shook!
Jinjer doesn't have a bad song. I've seen them live, they're as outstanding live as they are here. Also, this one is kind of a stand-out from a lot of their stuff. Try Teacher, Teacher! next. And do the official one for the best... Mm.. Impact.

i love i that you first were like wow this sound good..... and then FREAK how can that noise come out of such a small woman :D
You should check out their track "Judgement , Punishment".
If you look up some earlier Jinjer, you'll really get the Gwen Stefani vibes with the look to. Sit, Stay, Roll Over is a good one and also Outlander. Those are some older songs that are really good.

I am sub now but you really need to go down the Jinjer rabbit hole. So rad.
Jinjer - Perennial live at Wacken next!
Now ya got to do Judgement and Punishment, just as mind blowing as this but with a reggae feel.
It is rare to see the actual reaction on the faces and gesturse that people do, rather than on their words. You aint seen nothin' yet. Buckle up, fellas. :)
Subb'd for more Jinjer. Bring it on.
Check out Teacher Teacher next by Jinjer
I recommend watching Pit of Consciousness live in kyiv, it's a very good song
If I had 5 songs to choose from to listen to for the rest of my life, "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kiev would be one of them. You must listen.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
