Tatiana Shmayluk is a vocal goddess who loves Gwen Stefani. Able to switch and combine metal with rap, or reggae, or R&B, or jazz. Vlad the drummer is a classically trained pianist who can play Rachmaninov by memory. Roman the lead and Eugene the bassist are equally incredible. The whole band is just unbelievable together.

Can you provide a source for this? Because I've seen three interviews with her where she mentions Otep Shamaya and Sandra Nasic as her primary influences.

@@lauraclark427 here's an interview with her talking about No Doubt (in a Tragic Kindom shirt) ua-cam.com/video/JdvLP-tr2Y8/v-deo.html Hard to say primary influences as she has a lot - in interviews (many older) she talks about Bob Marley, Amy Winehouse, Gwen Stefani for cleans - Otep, Chad Gray, Randy Blythe for harsh. But there are plenty of others, it seems clear since the pandemic that there's been a fairly strong Layne Staley influence too. edit: forgot Sandra, you are right on that also.

"Live" -sort of, definitely performed live in the studio. This track originally posted to promote the new drummer - Vlad is classically trained and awesome - but most reactors get swept away by the vocals. There is some obvious post-processing (you guys are into production and can tell), but Tatiana will soon show you that she does not need it in a live setting, and will blow crowds away. Interesting and entertaining reaction guys!

check out "Perennial (live at Wacken)" for a live performance, "Judgement&Punishment (vocal one take)" to see Tatiana's vocal technique, but my favorite is "Teacher, Teacher (official video)", its complex, hard, funky, beautiful, core Jinjer.

Funny you should mention Gwen Stephani. She and Amy Winehouse are two of Tatiana's influences. So you heard right after all. Given where you are coming from (professional audio and music) with reactions I would highly recommend the Jinjer videos Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air 2019, I Speak Astronomy, Judgement and Punishment One Take Vocal, Pit of Consciousness Live in Kyiv, Teacher Teacher, Home Back, Wallflower and Mediator.
Tatiana normally uses an SM7B in the studio. She prefers the dynamic mics for the reason you stated.

Yep yep yep that be JINJER. I’m also a trained jazz musician and I have the same take on them that you do. You guys are in for a trip, you’re going to hear grooves and complex time signatures and poly rhythms never before heard in metal and out of this world bass lines (Eugene) and all held together by the guitar player Roman and the drummer Vlad. Tatiana is going to blow you away with her voicing styles from these demonic growls that will go unbelievably deep to sounding like the angel that you wish would sing lullaby’s to you before you sleep.
Welcome to the world of JINJER!!
*Check out the lyrics Tatiana writes, they hit different and have a lot of meaning to them.
