As a Deputy Fire Chief (retired volunteer) from Cromwell, CT I know the feeling of being appreciative of bystanders helping. Whether it be forming the "bucket brigade" or rolling hoses during cleanup. When you talked about using buckets, I pictured Emmett Kelly at the Hartford Circus Fire carrying the bucket with his famous sad face. You saved the pup, but Kelly and the Hartford, CT Fire Department were unable to save my 4-year-old sister, Sandra L. Logan, who perished in the fire. Thank you for your efforts to save the puppy and the building and, as always, your service to our country.
What an incredible video. The anxiety of the those storms, the fire, saving the dog, sadness of the loss of homes and property; and then, the breathtaking Aurora borealis. Just, WOW!
Living in northwestern Washington State, I was fortunate to be able to see the Aurora on a number of occasions. Usually they danced low on the northern horizon, but one event (no idea how many years ago) the crept south far enough to be right over head. I lived at the time in semi-open farm country, very dark skies and very, very quiet at night. I parked my car on the edge of a farmer's field, well off the road, using the planting/harvesting equipment access road into the field. The light show in the sky was so close, and seemed so low, I swear I could see individual particles tracing their paths as they fell towards Earth. I also had never realized that the Aurora actually makes a sound as it falls, sounds like very faint radio static. Alone in that field, very late at night (actually very early morning), I became a little bit spooked, it was a very eerie experience. I had been outside of my car, leaning against it, watching the sky, then decided maybe being outside wasn't the best idea, which I knew then was silly, but I got back into my car anyway, hahaha, and just stuck my head out my rolled down window. Even doing that made me feel vulnerable to the illuminated cosmic rainfall above me, so I rolled up the window and laid down across my front seats and watched thru my windshield. And while I felt safer and more protected from possible damage from that cosmic rainfall, I knew I wasn't, that none of us ever are, that all life forms on Earth are constantly bombarded by the sun's cosmic energy, which is almost always invisible to us. But to be able to actually SEE it raining down on the planet, so beautiful, to be able to watch those solar particles dancing in the solar wind in our planet's magnetic fields as it passes over us and continues on into our solar system beyond us, is for many folks something they will never experience. Even in the far north, the Aurora is fairly rare. I am so very grateful I've been able to experience them multiple times.
You guys are amazing! Jess, I'm like you- tornados and high wind terrify me. I'm so proud of the guys rescuing that sweet pup and saving that house. Truly heroic! I bet God threw in extra beautiful northern lights just because He was so proud of you too!
Tornado warnings, watches, and severe weather alerts screaming all at once, along with a TV screaming, and tornado horns off in a distance is very stressful. We deal with this yearly for for a couple of months. You want to be safe inside a shelter, not on the road. It seems this type of weather is now every where, not just in tornado alley. Y'all remain safe out on the road. Thank you for helping the firemen by rescuing a dog, and putting out fire. Your camera caught the aurora borealis nicely. I think the camera is a keeper😊
Thank you, Sandy 😊 that would definitely make me nervous living anywhere where tornados are frequent 🫣 you are right though , very heavy tornado year !
Corey, if you were in not in the Bass Master Classic but the RV Classic. You would win hands down. Never seen any RV'er out in the rain washing his truck and RV in the rain in a Walmart parking lot. You go dude !!!!!!
A whole lot to unpack in this video! -WOW, the aurora was incredible! -As a retired firefighter, I’m sure they appreciated the help - glad no one was seriously hurt! -We just bought our first Grand Design and are super excited to be a part of the family! Best of luck with the custom rig.
Thank you for sharing the lights! We were supposed to see them even in Utah, but nope! What a year it's been for you so far. An eclipse, dodging tornados, hail, a fire, and the Northern Lights. So glad everyone is safe, but my heart breaks for the people who lost their homes.
You were right where you needed to be, when you were needed, doing what you were supposed to do. Great job! And then, rewarded with northern lights. Spectacular. Great episode. 🎉
I agree 100% don't listen to anyone else who's trying to help you back up, I'm by myself and I have a process and when others try to help it messes me up, they get in my head, I have 23' and it's allot easier than what you have but I scope out my spot as i'm pulling past, I always try to get spots on my drivers side, but if I can't I just take it very slow get out several times and check my position. Btw, tornado's are my biggest fear as well, I'm on the east coast as well so we don't have to deal with them very often; i'm retiring beginning of August and i'm heading out to see the national parks and I will definitely check the weather apps on my phone on a daily basis and turn on all my notifications. Look forward to watching your Alaska adventure. As a pet owner my first concern are my dogs, a house can be replaced my dogs are more important there my family; glad Ricardo was OK.
great video, we met you about 5 years ago, we were visiting a bird sanctuary near miami, we there to see all the birds and when we were leaving we saw Corey cleaning up the area out front , we struck up a conversation and stayed for a couple hours to help cleaning up the debris and refreshing the landscape, i always enjoy your videos, God bless and safe travels you are an inspiration!
Thank God you were there to get the poor dog out! Thank you for caring...💗 That is beautiful video! My goodness!! Y'all have a good time at home and I'm looking forward to seeing your new rig!!
What an amazing sky, I would love to see that. Glad you had save travels in that awful weather. Cory thank you so much for saving that little dog. Loosing your home and other things is very difficult but even sadder when you loose you pets, thank god no one was seriously injured, we hope the fire fighters fully recover.
Oh my. This one really got me! Not only am I terrified of big storms in the RV, but my brother’s big beautiful home in Texas burnt to the ground on New Year’s Day this year. Thankfully the family were all able to make it out safely (barely) but it has been a long road trying to rebuild their lives. It was a brand new (to them) dream home in a new state, which made it even more tough. They lost both vehicles too. I hate fire! 😩 ~ Ashley
You all are terrific! Doing what you can means so very much to those families. Were they Volunteer Firefighters? Hubby used to be one, and our teams here are well trained. Love the Northern lights video!! Having lived in Alaska I will always remember our first WOW watching the Northern lights!!! So glad your kids got to see it!! “Dad get outside” was priceless. Blessings to you all, and GO NAVY!
Wow! That was a pretty emotional video. Used to live in Florida for a few winters, remember seeing the hurricanes coming in or worrying about a tornado. That is my biggest fear of being on the road is the weather turning suddenly. Watching those fires and thinking about how devastating that would be for the people who have owned and enjoyed those places, possibly for generation....the memories live on. And the only time I have seen Northern Lights was in Maine when I was a child. Must have been winter because we were driving back from my grandparen after dark, and we never stayed that late, I was laying up on the shelf in the back of our old car, that was my favorite spot to ride at night. I remember yelling "Stop, dad stop!" and my mom looking outside and saying pull the car over and we just sat there and watched them. The weather patterns sure have changed since then, living in Northern Vermont right now and the weather has been so bad, the flooding last year, and the hurricanes that have made their way all the way up here. Oh, and I loved Lily's comment at the end! Sometimes it is better inside, like during the 3 days of 90+ temps we just experienced!
Wow you guys this video was AMAZING !! Im glad you could assist with the fire rescue of the furrball and those Northern Lights! Wow. Just wow. Safe Travels Amigos 👊
Amazing to see this. Your family has been inspirational to us. We are currently travelling around The US living our dreams as a family, and we never would have if it wasn't for you. Thank You You Americans sure get some crazy weather though! We were in Ohio a month ago and those tornado warnings on our phones and the town sirens were pretty scary! Hiding in a kind ladies basement with our kids is something we will never forget! We cannot wait to see your Alaska content. All the very best & stay safe.
What a beautiful message to find on here! ❤ Thank you for sharing that with us! We wish you all the best in your travels and that we get to see you out here SOMEDAY!
You are truly a beautiful family! Always thinking of others, helping when/where needed. Not sure how you do it, you seem to always be in the right place at the right time, thankfully for the cute pup. Can't wait to see your 2nd Alaskan trip. We are currently looking for a Class C. Have had our travel trailer since 2018. Like your youngest, I have many fond memories that were made with our camper. Our boys are both in college and my husband being a fishing guide, my aunt and my husband's aunt are my camping buddies mostly now. I love my camper. Time to purchase something I can back up by myself without the boys behind me helping. So excited for you!! Happy Travels. Thanks again for all that you do and share along the way.
that heavy rain washes the front of the camper very well. I haven’t got a clue how you keep yours clean. I cleaned mine once in a storm as well, lightning , wind, heave down pours and soft water , love it
What a blessing you guys were there to save the dog and help. Now we usually don't see those here what colors in the sky, but we also had them in Idaho. Come to find out, they were testing out the arcs at that time. Love your videos and your family❤
You are such a kind and helpful little family. So glad that you were able to save the little pup and the home. Fires can be so deadly and move so fast. The lights are really beautiful.
This was such an awesome episode! You captured one of my bucket list phenomenons that I totally missed because we were inside playing cards and never knew it was going on!! Just beautiful !! Plus kudos to you guys for helping with the fires in Raymond on the lake and saving the dog! You guys are awesome and can’t wait for you to come back with your new rig and truck!! Honk loudly!!
We live in SC and we’re able to see the lights right from our backyard. I sat outside for hours watching I never thought I would be able to check that bucket list off in SC.
We've been chased by tornadoes before in Texas. Scary. I agree. It's my greatest fear traveling in an RV. Such beautiful northern lights! We have yet to see them. Thanks for the great video!
06:55 😂😂😂 I DO THE SAME THING! Just in this last solar eclipse trip, got into Amarillo super late and washed the Dually/Airstream in the storm! Free water! And in the morning she was shiny and looking good for our arrival. I really shouldn’t care about that stuff, but I’m not perfect.
Wow, a lot to process in that video! On the subject of weather and other emergencies while in the road, knowing where you are when you settle in for the night may even save a life in the event of an emergency. Some suggest a whiteboard in your RV. We have chosen to use technology in the form of a note on our phones, shared between members of the camping party, and shared with a friend or family at home. The name of the CG, site #, and importantly the COUNTY should be included. You might also include items you intend to check out while there...The info can potentially be filled in by the copilot while the driver is checking in. Corey, love the attention to maintaining your truck and trailer! I actually carry a pump sprayer with Chemical Guys Eco-Smart Watherless wash and a supply of microfiber towels. Either the end of a travel day or the next morning with my first cup of coffee, the bugs get removed from the front of the truck, mirror caps, and front of trailer if possible. Get them before the sun bakes them on!
Memorial Day weekend we trekked back New England from Colorado (via 80) and had a storm chase us the whole way! We would get ahead of it and then we would stop for gas or overnight and we would catch up to it again. Luckily just heavy rain and some lightening. I kept watching the weather map (as you recommended looking at cities ahead). My favorite app is Windy for you can get wind forecasts as well as storm forecasts by area. Glad you all made it ok!
So interested to see the new RV when you guys get back. I have to imagine that you wanted a lot of the same features in it that we would like as well. Hope we can do an Alaska trip as well in the future, but that's a long drive from NC. 🐾🐾
We had the Northern lights one night all the way down in Alabama last month! We missed them. Didn't know anything until I saw pics on FB the next morning.
We watched the lights a week before we left Oklahoma for Alaska. They were fantastic even where we were. We're currently outside of Whitehorse YT exploring the area before heading over to Haines and then on to Tok. We'll keep a lookout for a new Grand Design Lineage! Have fun and we hope to see you!
@@FindingOurSomeday Just felt lead to. Hope you two have a great adventure in Alaska. I've lived there when I was young, plus backpacked Denali twice, and drove the Alaska loop in a car three times. Now I want to do it in my Reflection, so I will be following you guys for any advice and adventures.
Love your videos! Glad you all were safe and could help others. Sad that the houses were on fire. My husband and I went to college in Springfield too! 😊
Awesome video, Good Job on saving the pup.. The Aurora lights were able to be seen here in NC, I didn't get to see them but alot of my friends were able to get pics and videos..
Those lights were beautiful!! We’re headed to Alaska in September and are hoping to see them! I think I need to invest in a nice camera! Great job saving the pup! Being a dog lover, that hits the heart! 💜
I really love your channel! You guys do an amazing job putting together such great content. I know it has to be a lot of work putting these videos together and I really appreciate you making them. I am really looking forward to following you on your trip to Alaska as that is a a trip on my list. We have a Class A and are in the process of selling our house and start full time travel…..at least until we find that THIS IS IT place to buy another house. Wishing you all the best safe travels on all your journeys.
My sister and bro in law went all the way from Australia to Norway just to see that and you were right here in the north and saw this. It is breathtaking!
Still no update on the RV campground in Cartersville, Ga. Progress very slow but looks to be a nice out come. Will keep you updated. Know you will never stay there since you have family in Rome, GA just 25 miles away. But to let your RV family know.
Good video. I'm glad the puppy was saved. Canadian or Maine northern lights? But seriously, you guys got a better show than we did. The new camera seems to pick up all the colors and movement. Thanks.
GOD BLESS YOU BOTH FOR WHAT YOU DID 🙏 THEY'RE VERY MUCH FAMILY ❤ JUST MORE LEGS & FURRY . BREATHTAKING VIDEO OF THE SKY GOING TO HAVE TO CHECK OUT THE CAMERA & SAVE UP FOR IT THAT WAS AMAZING FOOTAGE 📹
We are currently in Alaska right now, we should be here for about a month. We'd love the chance to see you guys or meet you guys!! Always love watching your videos!
Do not understand how you can do such a long trip from Maine to Alaska in one whack. I was 45 when for my job I had to drive non-stop from just above Atlanta to Washington D.C. straight only stopping for fuel. 11 hours, felt like I had been beaten with a ball bat. How do you do it ? I was in just a truck, you are pulling a camper. More stress. WOW !!!!
How can anyone look at those beautiful light shows and not know there is a God ... Simply stunning !!!
The heavens declare His handiwork!
I so agree. I was thanking him for it all at the end of the video.

My husband and I went to college in Springfield too! 😊
Awesome video, Good Job on saving the pup.. The Aurora lights were able to be seen here in NC, I didn't get to see them but alot of my friends were able to get pics and videos..
What beautiful footage, so sad about the homes but what a blessing to have saved that precious doggie. 🙏🏼safe travels on the road. 😊
Very sad.. thank you 🙏
Those lights were beautiful!!
Wow...that was something else. Beautiful. Blessings
I thought I was the only person that ever washed a vehicle in the rain. Ha liked it
What a trip for you folks. Good job getting the puppy.
So, with the aurora, was that worth coffee and a donut? Lol
To late for coffee 😃😵💫
Great job. And yes it was sad to see someone lose their home 🏡 😞
It’s really sad, we watched the people watch their house burn down ☹️
You went right through our town of Angola, In. We have a great State park here on Lake James - Pokagon State Park. 😃 Thanks for the fun videos !
From 1 car guy to another I knew exactly what you were doing cleaning in the rain :)

Did you say Alaska? Have you already left?
Thank you! Yes, Alaska, and no we haven’t left yet! Lots of prepping still to downsize.
Good video. I'm glad the puppy was saved. Canadian or Maine northern lights? But seriously, you guys got a better show than we did. The new camera seems to pick up all the colors and movement. Thanks.
I’m pretty happy with the new camera! Still learning with , it’s been fun! Glad to hear you guys made it home safe!

Can’t believe y’all don’t have a million Subscribers.Just don’t make sense ❤
Thank you so much for your support!
That was an amazing episode! Thanks
We are currently in Alaska right now, we should be here for about a month. We'd love the chance to see you guys or meet you guys!! Always love watching your videos!
We had 7 tornadoes Memorial Day weekend here in Benton County/ NW Arkansas. Most of the damage was caused by 100 year plus trees following on houses.
Washed my vehicles many a time in the rain. Detailed for several years and know the benefit of a rain rinse.
That’s what I want to see one day!!❤
You guys ROCK!!
Godspeed

YR. AFTER YR. I LOVE IT WHEN YOU STAY AT THE LAKE HOUSE ANNAMAY
It’s definitely a favorite spot !
Gotta ask -- what camera were you using for the Northern Lights?
This is a Sony A7C2 with a Sony 14mm 1.8 . I’ve since learned I didn’t even have it in the highest bit rate so it can actually preform even better!
WOW !!!!
Always enjoy your videos. Who was the artist singing Free As a Bird?
