I use a the Jeemak pointer tested here, I find it to be overly sensitive in highly mineralized ground and tends to false a lot. I believe it to be better than whites bulls eye 1 and 2 and better than the bounty hunter brand but it is not as good as the Garrett pro pointer but for the $25 I paid for it I am well satisfied and would recommend it to any who can't justify the $125+ for the garret. I think $125 would be better spent on coils.

Hardly a fair test with the sensitivity settings at low. Maybe the Chinese version can't go as low. I would call that a fail. It should be tested at high sensitivity. I have a feeling that if you did a real world test you would find the Garrett helps you find your targets faster. As always, You get what you pay for.
It will never be a fair test between quality and cheap. Don’t you worry. I stick with quality👍🏻 But there are always pros and cons with low sensitivity settings and perhaps a lesson can be learned for everyone. Thanks for commenting!
It's not a depth meter, it's a pin-pointer. your metal detector is for finding depth, the pin-pointer is for pin-pointing. If you are going to compare them, do it by seeing which one actually only responds when the target is directly in front of the device. It's the ability to PIN-POINT is what makes the tool valuable, not it's ability to detect at greater distance.
I just bought a Urceri pinpointer (same as the video, just different make) for $34 and it picks up a 25 cent at 2 inches from both the front of the pointer and the sides. Completely satisfied with it.
I know! But I could not change sensitivity on the Jeemak. That’s why I ran them both in factory settings. It’s all I the description. Thanks for watching👍🏻 ATB
@@huntinghistory1671 You let two dogs fight , pitbul vs chiwawa at , at pitbull you place a muzzle. Why not change sensitivity on the garret??? Whats the point😅
Thank you for the test.. I found it to be done well except you should have showed us the sensitivity between both pin pointers as it changes the distance between the pin pointers greatly.. If the one from china performs better I do wonder if it's build to last like American products do.. Thank you for sharing this with us.. I am going to purchase one now..
A pin pointer is just that a pin pointer - you want something reliable that will not fall apart in the field or quit the first raindrop it sees. plus you want something that is able to be calibrated for high mineral areas, there is much more to a piece of equipment than this test shows.
It's called a "pinpointer" the longer the distance it can detect metal the less performance at pinpointing.Video is the opposite. It shouldn't go off unless you are right on it or very close. You don't want it to give you a 5" radius otherwise just use your regular metal detector.
I have purchased a bunch of these Chinese pinpointers including those GP Pointers too. A bunch of sellers sell the same exact ones (identical) under different brand names. What I noticed is some of the them, which are the same are more sensitive than others. Out of 10 of them I have purchased, some have way better sensitivity and some really suck and barely detect more than 1/2 an inch from an object. I wonder why some of them which are the exact same models work better than others? Quality control issues maybe?

There is no question that the Garrett is better quality and probably more reliable in the field but this really about the law of diminishing returns. Is the Garrett worth the $75 more that most of us would be paying for it? Are you getting 75 bucks more quality? And is the Chinese pointer value for money?
Duh! The Garrett has three sensitivity settings dude! Six settings altogether counting the vibrate only ones. It’s waterproof up to three meters! It has sensitivity along the shaft as well as tip. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share it with us
I'm into electronics and pointer circuits are not all that complicated. There's nothing in them that warrants a price tag of $200. Embarrassing for Garrett.
It was set on lowest sensitivity on both pin pointers. If I turned it up, the sensitivity was equal or better with the Pro pointer. Don’t worry! I will never change it for the other one👍🏻
I'm very impressed, with the RM RICOMAX Portable pin pointer with High Sensitivity, One-button Operation Pin Pointer with LED Indicator & Buzzer Vibration. $35.00 on Amazon.
The biggest problem I find with most pinpointers is when searching for sub-gram nuggets in the heavily mineralised soil, full of ironstone like we get in the Australian goldfields is that you get a lot of false signals, making it difficult to pinpoint. Treasure hunting in moderate soil, most pinpointers are ok on coins and jewellery but when it comes to small nuggets the slow dirt sampling over the detector coil still works the best.
I’m not sure this is a fair comparison. First, my Garrett Pinpointer Pro connects to my wireless headset so all the sounds from my Garrett AT Pro and Pinpointer are both in my headset. If the Chinese cheap one doesn’t have the ability to interface with my headset I don’t care if it was given to me, I’d rather buy the Garrett. Second, you didn’t adjust the sensitivity of the either of the pointers. I have mine set on the most sensitive-level 3.
Well, the guy explained it from the beginning, the Garrett was at its lowest, but then, so was the other. Thinking about the why would you want a pointer that detects from 5, 6, 7 inches away because you have the larger detector. Well, I guess that when you're kneeling down looking for something small as a coin or a nugget or whatever, it's a lot easier to use your pointer opposite the large detector, I bet it gets clumsy and cumbersome. I'd rather have the carrot if it is under five inches deep, it is a lot lighter than the detectors and easier to manage. What you guys think?

Hey! I just got the same pin pointer (cheap version). you can sink the body it in water but not the top part. It is not for diving, only for seeking objects close beneath the water (stream, river, etc.).
The objective of the "pin-pointer" is to scream when it's right on top of the target or actually touching the target, not sound off when it is near or in the proximity of the target. Your metal detector did that for you already. You are doing yourself a disservice if you buy a pin-pointer that doesn't PIN POINT.
I disagree, you need a pin pointer that goes off several inches prior to touching the object and gets faster and or louder as it touches the unit. It would suck to just go off if touched. You must not detect that often.

greetings from Serbia !
is this chinese copy waterproof ??? I mean to use for diving !!!
It says so in the description. But I wouldn’t go all in for that. There’s always a reason it’s quite cheap!😎
thanks !!!
bokytoky has
#Jack Kraemer has what ???
İs jeemak working under water ? Do you know?
It can according to the description, but I have never tried it under water.
Hunting History thanks very fast answer...😄
do you have recommendations for underwater use
