For 30 years i used a whites bullseye 2 pinpointer. Never a problem, still works fine too. Decided to upgrade to the carrot and it drives me crazy! The Whites was on if you pushed and held the button and off when you let go. Always worked fine. Not sure why I need the Carrot but I will use it because it cost a fortune! Good video though, thanks. I was wondering how to get out of the detuned mode.

At any rate, your video was helpful and I especially liked the part about re-tuning the device to get closer to a desired target. Good sense of humor too!!

BOUGHT AND OWN A GARRETT AT MAX AND ALOT OF ACCESSORIES CAME WITH IT FROM " DETECTOR WAREHOUSE "INCLUDING THE " GARRETT PRO POINTER CARROT ",ORANGE, MADE IN USA, GARLAND, TEXAS. MINE WORKS LIKE A CHARM. 👍
I found out when I have it at the high setting and turn it off the sensitivity changes a bit. If I check my target spot and find nothing I cycle back to the 3 beeps and try again! I checked the spot again and the Garrett becomes more sensitive and finds the target. Not sure why, but it does work!
Nice vid. I expect my Garrett dectector bundle that has the propointer in it in the next day so nice to see how to operate the pointer for best results.
Great info have an AT max & the z-link carrot used it on dry sand first 2 weeks then had max in 4 inch of water decided to use the pinpointed when I put it in water it goes beeping like something there so I moved it all around still beeping & nothing there any clues thanks
You need to recalibrate it when you put into the water if it does that. Just push the button once while the unit is on and it will recalibrate and stop beeping.

Thanks for the video. You were able to point the tip at the coin. But in real life you do not know where the coin is and you may be getting a signal from the side of the pointer. I am thinking of carrying a 2nd pointer that only detects at the tip like the vibra-probe 285.
Owner of 3 Garrett carrots. All have gone in for repair. Two have gone in twice. Very little use, no abuse. Product has a falsing issue and Garrett repair department poor.

What does it mean if your eyes are sensitive? How about your skin? Ears, feelings?????? You could look the word up in the dictionary if you do not understand any of those references.

It recalibrates every time you turn it on. That's why in the instructions it tells you to turn it on a good distance away from metal objects.
Guess I need to keep it away from my head!
