    The first in an ongoing series of lessons in which a blues harmonica teacher engages YOU, the student, in a call and response dialogue--pushing you to expand your abilities, challenging you to decode the licks he's just played.

    This was amazing. It helps so much with ear training and on my first run through you predicted exactly when I missed the groove haha. Cheers!

    this was refreshing to find. I know my bends are in tune and with good tone but I've been stuck between dumbed down 12 bar blues tutorials and trying not to move ahead too fast that I don't keep clear single notes. I can't improvise yet and I learn by doing so this is just right! thanks

    This is fun! I bought a harmonica while my flute was in the shop getting new pads. I like to try and follow Ian Anderson performing Boree’. I can play the harmonica while driving with the Canned Heat Blues Band cranked up.

    Thanks for the exercise, Mr. Adam! Some time ago you made a tutorial on "Sanctified Blues" from "Living on the River" album. It was a good experience to learn it and play it just along with the song. But there is another song in the album, it just blows my mind away. I'm not qiute good with a harmonica, and it's rather difficult for me to decode riffs, and solo especially. Would you be so kind to make a tutorial on "I got a woman"? That would be just awesome. Thank you, sir.

    I'm quite new to this, but I think you're a great teacher, still sometimes I just can't follow! with no Tabs, like in this video, that's just frustrating! how can i understand the notes if i don't have them in front of me? and thx by the way some of your videos are really helpful

    • @gussowsclassicbluesharmoni2726
      @gussowsclassicbluesharmoni2726  4 роки тому +2

      Perhaps you should think about the fact that not one of the great black blues harmonica players--Little Walter, Big Walter, James Cotton, Junior Wells, Sonny Terry, etc.--needed tabs in order to learn. They just heard good players playing and figured it out. In this case, I'm trying quite explicitly to train your ears, not your eyes.

      @@gussowsclassicbluesharmoni2726 starting to understand what you mean. -slowly, but I'm understanding- and to be honest during this quarantine, the harmonica is a savior! never ever I thought I would produce any kind of music. thank you.
