I just watched Commando on HBO the other day. “Remember when I told you I was going to kill you last?” “I lied”. Then the woman asked where the guy went, and Arnie says, “I let him go”
I love this watch, it's been my daily wearer for the last 3 weeks since I got it. I also have the baby turtle and turtle SRP777 and I love them, but I'm sure glad I picked this one up.
James Bond is seen wearing one briefly in A View To A Kill. It's shown in a deleted scene as well. So if you buy one of these you're also buying a Bond watch. Who needs a Rolex Submariner, eh?
Well, the Sub was worn in 8 or 9 movies Bond movies. The most number of Bond movies featuring a single watch brand. Rolex Dubs were also issued to thr Toyal Navy fir a time, and thr Bond character is a Naval Commander, most likley an SBS officer. So it only makes sense to wear a Sub. Yes, the Sub is classic. Now some Seiko digital watches appeared in a couple of Roger Moore Bond movies back when digital watches were new, innovative, and trendy. But where those watches now? No one wants them while the Sub continues to be sold out year after year.
The digital display is small at it’s current size if the watch was any smaller, I,would need a loupe to read the digital numbers. Yes, it needs to be this big!
I was complimented out of nowhere wearing the LE edition on a Bond nato. Plus it has the ana-digi, dive bezel, solar, dive rating. It's a very cool and useful watch for me. I'd like to get this one also and retire the LE.
Those damn pushers on the left side. I feather close them, but I think the movement on my wrist makes them super tight. It’s hard to open them sometimes…
Thank you for the shoutout again. I actually kept the Arnie on a leather strap from Colareb. The rubber never got used by me. I know Dirk is going to be very happy.
I love the Arnie, and will pick one up soon. I really like the metal keeper on my JDM srp777, which is what I'm wearing today. Haven't seen a monster video for a while.......
You didn’t mention the coolest function of the watch where the analog hands will self-adjust to the digital time you set. It’s pretty cool to see the hands move by themselves. This function is way better than trying to match the hands with the digital time like most other digi-ani watches. Should’ve read the entire manual.
Probably not unusual to Rob since he's deep into the G-Shocks. All those ani-digitals do that. You can also do stuff like temporarily park the hands outside of the digital screen to make things visible.
Maybe it is the Arnold link and I know it is totally personal but I think this version of the watch beats the padi version hands down. I’m generally not a fan of black watch cases but this one just works.
I have both the black and PADI and I hated the PADI until I swapped out the shroud with a brushed stainless one and put on a Strapcode Jubilee bracelet and it is a gorgeous watch now
I loved these, but for the price, I still think the ani-digital G-Shocks are better. I did buy the solar Tuna SNE541P though, which I really like. Just couldn't jump up in money to the Arnie for the price difference vs having a nice GSTB200 or similar.
Wanna know something funny... this isn't the only watch he wore in the Predator. Skip to 1:23:49 The watch he has on there looks to be something with a leather racing strap on it. Mostlikely worn during reshoots... check it out yourself lol
Watched this while wearing my gold Arnie (SNJ028). I really love this watch - it just feels tough and reliable. The gold version has blacked out hardware, too - including the strap keeper and buckle - and I think they're less noticeable than the silver hardware on this and the PADI.
Are the lumes powered by the battery or the light it absorbs during daylight? In other words do the lumes stay brightly lit as long as the battery is charged? Or does it fade in a few minutes like most cheaper watches?
Seikophile : It is too big. Oh, it's a Seiko, perfect fit. It's too thick. Oh, it's a Seiko, it will slide under the cuff. It's a mineral crystal. Oh, it's a Seiko. Hardlex is better than sapphire.))), 😉😁
Definitely the best color way it’s the OG although the padi can be found for 3 or less I paid the little extra for this super tough watch survived a weekend of adult beverages wake surfing and boarding at the lake and never even took it off and I never sleep In my watches the quality in the bezel is the only blunder IMO and maybe a flat sapphire. The solar is a really nice addition as well as the bigger size and the metal keeper, I’ve snapped so many if those stupid things! Doesn’t really effect wearability but like you said is versatile when it comes to straps. This may be the best re issue yet especially at 3-350$ it’s a classic. If the SLA017 wasn’t as much as a Rolex I may say that. And my Arnie actually lines up better than some of my $1k seiko divers I say keep them affordable and keep them coming! Like your content!
Random Rob thankyou for the reply. I was worried I had received a faulty one which would’ve been horrendous as this watch is dope. The review helped my decision to purchase. Great review 👍🏻
Has anyone watched the movie recently. In the scene where he is covered in mud and making new weapons and bombs etc he is wearing a completely different watch on a tropic strap. Maybe it’s the stunt double but it’s def not this watch. The only reason I know is because I just bought the Arnie and watched the movie last night. Someone please help me solve this case of the other Arnie watch in this movie. The watch is covered in mud and has no pushers on it and is clearly on a tropic strap. That’s all I could make out.
The bezel is a 60 click version, not 120. It is funny, most UA-cam channels make this false statement. Watch the footage of the bezel being turned, one click per minute market.
You must store this solar watch in sunlight constantly as the batt will fall below level 10. Just wearing it will not keep it on full power. If the rechargeable battery is allowed to deep cycle it wont last its life of 10+ years.
Not true in my experience at all. I cycle through watches and sometimes keep my Arnie in a room without direct sunlight. The battery never dropped below 10.
If you have any serious technical work to do with your hands, this watch will become a big problem. I wear a thin 38mm quartz watch as my daily driver because I need a watch that will stay out of the way when I am getting things done. Working with ropes, reaching for anything with your arms, working in any kind of entanglement environment, is not a good option. Fire, military, search and rescue, diving, etc, this watch is a joke. You might as well strap a grapelling hook on your wrist. It is not a good candidate for a field watch or a diving watch. Again, because of entanglement issues. Furthermore, it's a hassle to operate when you need to be expedient about your timing device. Cool Hollywood gimick watch. A basic g-shock will perform much better as a real working watch. I like the watch, but it would be a safety issue in my line of work. Cheers.
I have 23 watches. This is my daily wear watch. Man I love it.
I just watched Commando on HBO the other day. “Remember when I told you I was going to kill you last?” “I lied”. Then the woman asked where the guy went, and Arnie says, “I let him go”
Scott C 🤣
Scott C “He’s dead tired.”
" I eat Green Berets for breakfast and now I'm very hungry."
Can I have a blanket and a pillow please ?

Saw these with the Shroud removed totally slimmed it down .
They released new ones in Street series, baton shape and vintage lume.
Thanks man. No rush. Just had to have one. The peer pressure in the group chat was strong....😂😂😂

My watch arrived the other day and I love it
I also bought the blue & red dial arnie too
Love both very happy 😀😀😀

really cool module. i wish they would put it into something smaller.
I guess it is pretty randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Huxley Hudson flixportal =)
@Adrian Leandro Thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it !!
@Huxley Hudson Glad I could help xD
I love mine! They sure made it better! With better features and improvements, and now solar is even better!
Great vid, this one's still on my wish list 🤞🏻
Those damn pushers on the left side. I feather close them, but I think the movement on my wrist makes them super tight. It’s hard to open them sometimes…
Just got mine today in a Black Friday deal and I love it!
Thank you for the shoutout again. I actually kept the Arnie on a leather strap from Colareb. The rubber never got used by me. I know Dirk is going to be very happy.
This is the next watch I’m gonna try and buy
Oooooohhh. So tempted to pick one up. Must. Resist.
I love the Arnie, and will pick one up soon. I really like the metal keeper on my JDM srp777, which is what I'm wearing today. Haven't seen a monster video for a while.......
Does the watch retain WR200M even if those left crowns are not screwed in?
Yes. Just don’t push them in. The threaded out is just to protect them. Same as a threaded crown, it is just to stop it from being pulled out.
Can i keep 24 format on the digital display? Thanks!

Super montre j'adore.
Maintenant il faut voir porter sur le poignet.
Le prix me paraît raisonnable

Hate these new silicone straps and metal keeper, does anyone know where I can find an authentic Seiko z 22 band?
the arnie is pretty cool
Wanna know something funny... this isn't the only watch he wore in the Predator. Skip to 1:23:49 The watch he has on there looks to be something with a leather racing strap on it. Mostlikely worn during reshoots... check it out yourself lol
Nobody said how to switch to battery level. Hold the light button down and it will go to it.
Thanks
Why this watch so legendary??
Watched this while wearing my gold Arnie (SNJ028). I really love this watch - it just feels tough and reliable.
The gold version has blacked out hardware, too - including the strap keeper and buckle - and I think they're less noticeable than the silver hardware on this and the PADI.
Nice watch !!
Are the lumes powered by the battery or the light it absorbs during daylight? In other words do the lumes stay brightly lit as long as the battery is charged? Or does it fade in a few minutes like most cheaper watches?
The lume on the hour markers and hands are charged by light and glow for hours slowly fading until more light recharged.
Nice pick up Dirk.
Seikophile : It is too big. Oh, it's a Seiko, perfect fit. It's too thick. Oh, it's a Seiko, it will slide under the cuff. It's a mineral crystal. Oh, it's a Seiko. Hardlex is better than sapphire.))), 😉😁

Does yours have a little bit of crown wiggle when unscrewed? I just got like from WatchNation and it has a little bit of crown wiggle when unscrewed
Yes
Random Rob thankyou for the reply. I was worried I had received a faulty one which would’ve been horrendous as this watch is dope. The review helped my decision to purchase. Great review 👍🏻
Push the light button and hold.
I had no idea these Seikos were made in China.
Does quality control suffer because of this?
love it!!

Take buckle off and replace keeper if it really bugs u...

Same experience here.the Arnie holds its charge remarkably well.
Best version looks great still wish seiko would not have so much tail left over on there rubber straps though.
It's left long for reason after all it's a diving watch so it has to go over a wet suit.
8” wrist here and the strap is barely long enough. I’m using the last hole ;-)

It’s a disgrace.
Better throw out all of your electronics then..
