- Well hello, everyone!
Sort of a different video today. I'd like to share the process for roasting a head of garlic in an open fire (i.e. - in my fireplace). I love preparing roasted garlic, and then using it as a seasoning in other dishes, or simply served over bread. It is amazingly delicious, and it also helps keep the vampires away. Be sure to make several heads though, as the resulting roasted garlic spread doesn't go very far. I hope you enjoy this video, and please feel free to leave any comments down below.
Don't forget, I have setup an email address for this channel - buyingthefarmny@gmail.com. If anyone would like to send a note, discuss a particular topic, share your stories, or to contact me for any other reason, please feel free!
Thanks for stopping by, and we'll see you on the next video!!

I've never done garlic like that, then again I can't find any garlic over here that's worth a darn. All I find are these little bulbs that aren't worth buying.
On the other side of things I don't entertain others other than the 2 mutts I already have. Mack and Pugsley seems to be happy with their kibble and water outta the stainless bowls. As far as the freeloading of food that they tend to get by with once in a while, that's usually just tossed and they either catch it or eat it off the floor then they mop the floor with their tongue for the next 30 mins (free mop service, better than the robots) LOL.
Awesome video tho. I'd probably mix the garlic with cream cheese or even butter. Hmmmmm.
Enjoy your weekend and the new year.

Hahahahaha, Lonnie your comments never cease in making me chuckle!!! Well, by all means try it as a treat for YOURSELF one of these days. I passed by some nice big heads of garlic at Walmart the other day, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity!! Mixed with cream cheese or butter would be excellent. If you try it in a fire, uncover it for the last 5 minutes - it gives it an awesome smokey flavor. It'll be worth your effort in searching for the ideal heads of garlic! Thanks for all your comments and support this year, and here's looking to lots more chuckles in the new year - you have a wonderful new tear too!! :-)
Yum. Never had garlic like that before, but I like garlic so may have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
Oh then DEFINITELY give it a try. It ends up the consistency of toothpaste... and spreads so smooth. The flavor is amazing. If you uncover it for the last 5 minutes of cooking, it gets a wonderful smoky flavor. Let me know when you give it a try! :-)
