      TAOFLEDERMAUS _Yes. The midair collision was terrible. Both planes and engines were completely destroyed._
      Even talking with the pilots while analysing the video after the flight, they couldn't figure out about what or who caused the crash.
      In the evening, during the BBQ, the crash was already history and both pilots was waiting for the next noon show.
      *_Thanks for your great comments, my friend !_*

      I may have told you that when I was first learning how to fly RC, I was flying a .40 sized trainer and it accidently crashed into a school room and the entire nose and engine went through the wall. It was barely cruising along too. oops!

    Man Horst! I cringe evertime from the emotional experience and then the financial costs from losing one of those beautiful large scale planes and all the work that goes into them! What the heck at 1:38, looked like it was an intentional act at a midair collision? Great camerawork and editing! Danke for sharing Horst! Cheers my friend!

    Big ouch with the P-51 that wrecked. And - heck that mid-air on low pass was total catastrophe.

    As always a fantastic video in high quality with epic crashes, one thing I didn't understand was the FW 190 in the trio formation, at a point it completely changes route and falls to the ground, was it a backout of the radiocontroll?

    • @RCScaleAirplanes
      @RCScaleAirplanes  7 років тому

      The propelller exploded and some debrits destroyed electrical components. Therefore the plane was totally uncontrollable. We were very lucky, the impact was out of range from pilots and spectators.

      Andreas Doppeldecker eine Frage, wenn man so einen Flieger hat und er dann abstürzt, ist er dann komplett hin oder kann man den reparieren, auch wenn er in alle Teile "zerbrochen" ist. Weil das ist ja total schade weil die kosten doch viel Geld oder?

    • @andreasdoppeldecker4361
      @andreasdoppeldecker4361 7 років тому

      Hallo Flo, Deine Frage kann man so pauschal gar nicht beantworten. Das Geschick beim Basteln und der Geldbeutel bestimmen letztendlich ab wann und ob ein Flieger überhaupt wieder aufgebaut werden soll. Sicher klar, wenn alles restlos in Fetzen da liegt, einschließlich der Elektronik, dann wird kein Modellbauer einen Wiederaufbau starten. Generell gilt, dass man das Hobby und den Verlust eines Fliegers auch verkraften können sollte und die Investitionen stets an seine Möglichkeiten anpasst. Grüßle vom Ultra

    3:21 the bimotor got in stol cause one engine failed, then one wing lost sustainability
    Many people think that flying twin engines is very safe, but it can be a double-edged sword if you don't realize it and correct it in time

    I see it at certain air strips but not all and that is a strip of tall grass, the length of the runway but off to one side. A plane with an inoperative landing gear or a dead engine can be brought in over the tall grass and stalled. It would greatly limit the damage to the planes as compared to landing the same plane on asphalt. I know this isn`t a new idea but wonder why it is not used more?

    Stupid question. But wouldn't they have an easier time landing if they had more weight? I know NOTHING about this, so don't crucify me.
    I know they need to be light to fly, but I'm just seeing them hit the ground and bounce off because it's fiberglass or thin plastic. Minus engines.
