I almost forgot about the Dornier accident! Looks like they got in each other's prop-wash if I were go guess. Great footage as always Horst!
TAOFLEDERMAUS _Yes. The midair collision was terrible. Both planes and engines were completely destroyed._
Even talking with the pilots while analysing the video after the flight, they couldn't figure out about what or who caused the crash.
In the evening, during the BBQ, the crash was already history and both pilots was waiting for the next noon show.
*_Thanks for your great comments, my friend !_*
I guess the only good thing was that no one was hurt.
That's really the most important thing in this hobby !
I may have told you that when I was first learning how to fly RC, I was flying a .40 sized trainer and it accidently crashed into a school room and the entire nose and engine went through the wall. It was barely cruising along too. oops!
TAOFLEDERMAUS Please clme to my school!! PLEASE!!
Tausende zerstörte Arbeitsstunden... :(
Mein Beileid!
Und tausend Dank fürs Aufnehmen und zeigen!
Auf ein gelungenes nächstes Jahr...
richtig gutes Material....
great video
Man Horst! I cringe evertime from the emotional experience and then the financial costs from losing one of those beautiful large scale planes and all the work that goes into them! What the heck at 1:38, looked like it was an intentional act at a midair collision? Great camerawork and editing! Danke for sharing Horst! Cheers my friend!
7:45 lucky, i always lose the wrong wheel
😂 I get the joke.
Great collection, Horst! Some truly heart-stopping moments to be sure!! Thank you. Cheers, Dougal
1:13 sounds like those farts that come out when you're showering.
Lmfao
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Very true
Der Platz braucht einen drainage Graben ;) . Super Video!
i just watched all your moments from 2013 -2016 you have the best footage on youtube hands down. thank you.
9:22 Reminds me when the guy tried to save the downed pilot's life in 2014 😂 But no one will save this pilot without his head 😁
2.38 was a great recovery well done i say
I've had some hairy landings over the years -- and a tree visit or two, as well as corn episodes!
Big ouch with the P-51 that wrecked. And - heck that mid-air on low pass was total catastrophe.
Oh my - that dive into the ground was beyond ouch - very painful.
Bet that took some time to edit Horst - nice work.
Just heartbreaking to watch but crashes comes with the hobby 👍
Camshaft Shaft *_that's true_*
Thank you for watching and commenting!
-you have to cut the grass
-0:32
it will be really cool if they made a big rc plane with a camera inside
there are plenty videos out there.

@@RCScaleAirplanes thanks!!!
Interesting assemblage of clips. Thanks for uploading.
1:38 The only time that a P51 shot down a Do 335.
*LOL* And the first time ever captured on camera 😉
Flying with Teammates be like:
@@BF-109 _sometimes sh!t happens_
@@RCScaleAirplanes well :)
Seriously, were they TRYING to crash?
très beau crocs
ZiZi ○|○
Nice (first) landing with the ME109 they are tough! But the Sopwith Pup should be a sweetheart?
nobody cares if your first
As always a fantastic video in high quality with epic crashes, one thing I didn't understand was the FW 190 in the trio formation, at a point it completely changes route and falls to the ground, was it a backout of the radiocontroll?
The propelller exploded and some debrits destroyed electrical components. Therefore the plane was totally uncontrollable. We were very lucky, the impact was out of range from pilots and spectators.
+RCScaleAirplanes Wow that was a very unique crash, glad to know the plane was rebuilt and flyed again!😀
No Leonardo. Due to the heavy impact, the plane was irreparably damaged.
The crash shown in the other clip was the year before.
I feel like the bigger the plane, the sadder i feel when it slams. Awesome job on the video.
I would be crying watching my very expensive pride and joy breaking apart
If you're in the hobby long enough, every pilot will have days like this no matter how good you are. Days and moments like this will Suck.
I know so many warbird pilots that cant fly for shit.
Same here man, its so sad though, because some of their planes are so beautiful... and to see them crash is saddening...
No expertise Bob. Just practice and lots of touch n go's. I dont have any videos but I will post some soon enough. Got a P-6 Hawk and a PC-9 that will be ready for maidens.
BS
These are very entertaining if heartbreaking videos. I nice touch would be an on-screen comment of what went wrong, eg engine failure, rudder failure etc
All that hard work and craftsmanship blown to matchwood. So sad to watch.
0:31 So How Much Does That Grass Trimmer Cost?👍😂
Great Vid!
I was waiting for this one! Great as always!
Jacob Hardy *_thanks Jacob_* 😎
came here from flite test, great videos!
FlyRC *_thanks for watching and commenting. much appreciated !_*
I also came from Flite Test! Great content!
Best rc videos. Keep up the great work👍
*_THANKS !!!_* 😉👍
Hallo Horst,
I just hate it to see those beautiful build airplanes go down, but somehow i need to see these clips. Maybe to learn from it lol. I have been building and flying model aircraft for + 10 years now, and still love it. Love your videos btw.
Awesome moment at the end buddy :D
*_Oh yes, Simon .... :)_*
Incredible quality of footage and airplanes.. I shudder at the sound those planes make when they hit though.. I have witnessed (and did it myself) a couple times... super high quality picture.
food stick _Thank you very much for your great comments. I'm glad to know that you understand the meaning of the video._
I know that it is hard to watch such kind of mishaps, but it's part of the hobby.
Again another classic, always look forward to the year end moment video, nice capture but hard to see those beauties go down, Thanks for the vid,
In the middle of the video, that puddle in the runway, why didn't anyone do something about it as it caused ALOT of trouble.
Sionso Schwalts _it was a lake before and after some hours of work, only this small area remaining. The pilots was aware of this and there was enough place to avoid it. Some done well ... others didn't._ 😎
Really love those oops moments videos! Thx also very sad for the planes that were killed in making of these videos RIP (Rest In Pieces 😜)
3:44 how in the world...
Hi, great videos by the way! I was just wondering are rc planes wooden? I’m only asking as I’m looking at getting my first proper plane very soon. :D
if you get a bouncer just go around why keep forcing it
Michael Chrisman exactly!!
Ikr?!? I just go balls to the wall and nail the elevator
Abusive father
You can always go around if you don't look right Coming down
@@backwoodsjunkie08 Nailing the elevator would just put you into the stall especially with any of those warbirds.. Pin the throttle an only feed in enough elevator to keep level until the airspeed is back up. Unless you have a 3d plane then feed in as much elevator as you like. :^)
Feels very wrong to press thumbs up hehe. What did the pilots of the mid air say to eachother hehe. Your rc videos is the best on youtube. Looking forward to your videos 2017. Merry xmas and a happy new year to you
1:38 - 1:40 was a cool dogfight, what i saw!
The german fighter was fallen to a lot of pieces🤣
Richtig coole Flieger dabei ! Echt Schade um mansche Modelle 🙈
Kann passieren 😞
9:06 it looks like the spitfire shot down the fockwulfe XD
At some of the crashes I have felt the pain. Still, very good compilation!
1:35 the most beautiful footage I've ever seen of rc planes besides the zero killing a helicopter
Awesome video ! Like every years !
Good job done. nice and interesting video.
_Thank you for watching and commenting !_
Wont lie.. Though it pains me to see such good models getting destroyed, i do enjoy mid air collisions and "realistic" crashes
To them it's all good as long as the crash looked Scale 🤣
Excellent video. Keep up the good work.
That puddle sure wasn't doing anyone any favors!
I give respect to these guys flying rc planes and jets I would not trust myself flying these so I’m just going to stick with fpv drones
good decision 👍😉
1:35 when you run out of ammo in a war thunder battle :D
That happened to me with a French plane against an he 111, I think the 111 survived the ram sadly. Frenchis shoot out the inside of there bread and stick it on planes..
That British announcer You know what I mean is an LMFAO moment
*LOL* 🤙😂
You guys are crazy i love it
The best method of recovery from a low altitude maneuver will become self-evident upon retrieval of the larger pieces.
2:38 OMG these people are giants!
1;53 OUCH !!!! Seems to be a lot of wind out there !!
love this series
Oh the carnage! Great vid
Wonder if they added some sort of catch net off to the side, if you know you are going to have a bad landing, try to aim for the net? Hate to see such awesome models destroyed.
Love the videos! Keep up the good work, boys!
It seems to be that if you fly a mustang, your chances of crashing increase auite considerably
TomHolmez12 I hate mustangs!!!
Eggbert08 hey mustangs are beautiful it’s just noobs flying them
I can't believe he was trimming the grass
Jesus Christ! That guy at @8:16 wasvery lucky! Such a beutiful Extra 300.
0:31 another way to cut grass, lol.
Nice video show Horst!
1:35 US air force be like:we jammed the rc signal
that poor guy with the red extra was just struggling out there
Great video. Some good pilots and some bad. I like to fly formation put practice with the other person. I would never fly with so many planes up at once.
Hi Horst! It's been a long time since I've had a chance to watch one of your videos! You haven't lost your touch - great job with your video and putting this together. I can feel the pain because I've been there before too! Take Care, Ron

@@pepenieto6202 What?
Great footage! Loved the vid! ...But how can there be so many pilots at one event that can’t fly!?? I do understand that this wasn’t all from the same, but that waterhole on the far side claimed a lot of birds!
Lee Koehn _Thank you for watching and commenting. Much appreciated!_
If you consider that during a weekend of an airshow approx 150 to 200 flights are being performed, some _MOMENTS_ can occur. And this is what I want to show.
Thanks God ... 95% of the flights ended without any problem.
realy good video !
*_THANKS !_* 👍😉
Awesome video my friend!!!! 😃👍🏼 Some great footage!! I know you go to a LOT of different places so if you happen to come across a Toledo Special for sale or a new in the box plane please let me know ASAP so I can buy it and ship it across the pond. My friend crashed his last year and it was his favorite plane. They don't make or sell them anymore. It's made by Hanger 9 / Horizon Hobby. Cheers! 😉👍🏼
May I suggest something interesting .......Land rc planes using an aircraft carrier tail hook on hard top landing strips.
He said the B25 Mitchell launched 36 of the deck of the USS Hornet to raid Tokyo, I believe it was only 18 but the "Doolittle Raid" was incredibly bold and brave.
I love flying r/c. They look so scale... especially when they crash and explode like at 1:36. ;)
They recalled me a lot of WWII
Great save for the first P-51 unpowered landing!
1:03 this reminds me of a crash that i don't want to remember eny more
wow....nice one horst :O
_Thanks Michi ;)_
🤣🤣🤣 excelente video saludos cordiales desde Chile 👍
*gracias !!!* 👍😉
Well done as normal mate
There is a thing called a go around..
great planes !!!1
3:21 the bimotor got in stol cause one engine failed, then one wing lost sustainability
Many people think that flying twin engines is very safe, but it can be a double-edged sword if you don't realize it and correct it in time
Man that 190 has been through a lot
I wonder how much cost they spend to rebuild the crash plane.. 😐
Some of these really break your heart knowing the time and effort and love that goes into them.
More money than flying ability, what a shame...
Fantástica...exhibición..good
I see it at certain air strips but not all and that is a strip of tall grass, the length of the runway but off to one side. A plane with an inoperative landing gear or a dead engine can be brought in over the tall grass and stalled. It would greatly limit the damage to the planes as compared to landing the same plane on asphalt. I know this isn`t a new idea but wonder why it is not used more?
Stupid question. But wouldn't they have an easier time landing if they had more weight? I know NOTHING about this, so don't crucify me.
I know they need to be light to fly, but I'm just seeing them hit the ground and bounce off because it's fiberglass or thin plastic. Minus engines.
