Everyone should know that if you take out the three screws at the back it will be difficult to reattach them. There are three layers the screws have to be aligned through perfectly for the dryer to go back together correctly. I cut myself trying to reattach them because the edge of the metal piece that comes off is sharp. I wasn't comfortable laying the dryer on its back because I didn't want to damage the piece that sticks out to vent (someone else who is comfortable doing this should share if they have a tip about this). I ended up having to pay someone to help put it back together and even he wanted my help to get all three layers lined up. He said that the reason that area would get so dirty is a poorly vented dryer or a clog in your duct.

I’m in the same exact spot with not wanting to lay it on it’s back. When you paid someone to come help, we’re you able to have your problem resolved? Would you mind sharing about how much it costed?

@@aaliyahd.4439 About $190. The repairman needed my help to get the thing back together even though he knew how to do it. If I hadn't disassembled that piece I don't know if he would have found a way to clean it from behind without taking those screws out. Once the screws were replaced with the drum out of the dryer he put it back and it's working fine.

Those 3 screws are connected to the back bearing. If u take those off u have to remove the whole drum to reattach it back

Great video! I have the exact same Highpoint dryer and you taught me a lot… Very detailed and thorough. Love the creativity in tipping the dryer on its back for part of the reinstallation. Thanks!

I tried doing my inside filter (like the big metal thing inside) and I can’t get mine back on even to save my life. It’s like the drum dropped for some reason. Any advice??

Please help! I don't know what we did wrong!?!? We followed your video and now the dryer is incredibly loud, smells like it's burning and "knocking" while running. Any idea what we maybe did wrong? We took it apart, cleaned it and put it together how you suggested in the video. 😭

I ran into the same issue and it has to do with the little three screw in the back of the drum that he mentioned about putting back in at the end. You have to lean the dryer on it's back and line up the screws with the holes and make sure the screws catch onto that back part
