Randy, I just watched your August 2020 trip video with Shane to Grand Teton, and decided to go back and watch this one again with you and Kayla. Another great video! Kayla makes me laugh with the trail talk “go away bear” (that really does work), but it looks like your greatest concern on the trail is chipmunks! Such a great Father/Daughter time, THANKS FOR SHARING, . . . Mike
Great father/daughter video. When we visited Grand Teton two years ago with our daughter and grandkids, rather than swimming in the cold Jenny Lake, we swam in the relatively warm String Lake. Beautiful park.
I ended up in Utah last year, because Grand Teton and Yellowstone area was just too expensive. I am determined to find a way this year, as when my dad passed last year he talked to me about how much he loved Wyoming and specifically how Grand Teton was his fav. National Park, and he went to a lot. This video where the focus was more on your individual family experience is truely the best of what you do. It’s all top tier, but this type surely shows an example of a good experience that people can have if they themselves get out into our national parks with friends and family. It’s impossible to deny God when seeing the beauty in our national parks.
I can't believe that I just discovered you while looking for stuff on Rainier (I'm a geology nerd that is majorly into volcanoes)! But you NEED (and I do mean NEED) to see the Tetons in the winter, they're so flippin' gorgeous against the blue sky! My family visits every year around Thanksgiving and we always go see the Tetons if it's not snowing. I've never been in the summer, but it is one of my favourite places on this planet (alongside Yellowstone, St. Helens, HVNP, and Rainier)
Wow, Natalie, that was good stuff! Lord willing, planning to get back here in August. ...and in the snow, can only imagine how beautiful that must be. Returned from Bryce Canyon a month ago and the color contrast with the snow was amazing!
Americas Parks my mom is an amateur photographer and has taken gorgeous photos of Grand Teton and Mt Moran. It gets REALLY cold in the winter time (negative degrees cold), but it’s worth it to see that mountain peak on a clear day. I miss being able to travel more, since like you, my family did a lot of travelling. Thanks to you are your beautiful daughters (one of whom shares a name with me), I’ve gotten to see National Parks and parts of National Parks that I’ve never seen before! I hope you get to see Katmai and the so-called “Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes”, it’s my dream to see that park myself one day (for the nerdy volcano stuff mostly).
@@AmericasParks If you've seen them on a clear summer day as you're coming north around the curve up over the rise on Togwotee, on a clear winter day it's 10x better! Been there 9 times so far, summer, fall, and winter, and that view of the range that you get going down the north side of Togwotee never ceases to amaze me. So glad I live less than 3 hours from the park.
Wow, so beautiful! We have not been there yet. We live in Tennessee, so its easy to head straight out on 40 west, but takes a lot longer to get northwest across the country. Hopefully someday! Looks like a beautiful campsite. Great food! Enjoyed the devotional. It’s great you and your daughter can hike together. My husband and I sometimes hike with my Dad on the AT as he is trying to section hike the whole thing over several years. Looks like it was an awesome trip!
Thanks, Jenny! Yes, so blessed to be able to spend those times with my daughters. Hope you can get out to the Tetons some day and hope you dad is able to complete his goal. Very impessive!
My favorite place to live in the west. Teton is the fizzshizzle. Heads up it is only 72 miles over pass to dubois Wyoming. AND 35 to 45 for FS camping. Easy drive back down to Valley. BEST HIKE DEATH CANYON IN CASCADES OUT around back through Alaska Basin. Very very scenic. Jackson has everything you need. Teton Rec Center has pool. Showers.
You out did yourself in this one!! Lots of extras that I loved!!! Thanks so much!! Loved it!!! Always a pleasure but this one seems to be your best editing!!
Just wanted to take a minute and tell you that your last 2 edits( Yellow stone and Grand Tetons) were excellent! Video editing is alot of fun, and its great too see someones work get better as it goes along. looks like you put alot of time into this one...great job! My Grand teton video is probably my favorite from our 2013 road trip. Getting ready to leave in 5 days on my next national park adventure...so look for my videos coming soon! Congrats on what looked to be a great trip! God bless!
Hey Robert, great to hear from you! Thanks for the kind words! Editing is a blast - folks think I'm crazy, but I *almost* enjoy making the videos as must as actually participating in the trip itself :) Took a look at your Teton video - nice work! We never made it to Jackson Hole, but it seems like we did many similar activities at the park. Super memories! Enjoy your upcoming trip!
It’s gorgeous there...haven’t been to the NP itself in many years. Ken has family in Victor and Driggs Idaho, on the west side. Definitely grizz there...we saw a HUGE one beating the tar out of a giant dumpster in a National Forest service CG near there. Ken and I were in a truck camper at the time... thankfully, not a tent. Even the man who picked up the trash the next morning was amazed at the damage. He prob could have ripped our camper open like a bag of chips😬 Jenny lake looks like it was worth the hike! Jane
It's so interesting to see this before I visit during this pandemic. Like I can't imagine them doing any type of ferry service across the lake this season.
Yeah, it's a shame how much we took for granted. I'd assume many of these services will be closed, but you'll still have a great time. You can hike to the spot where the boat dropped us off. Don't believe it was too far.
Nice! I was gonna go there when I was in Yellowstone but I have to drive the next day to banff canada. My fav part of your video is when you guys are reading the scriptures. Amen!!!
Thanks for watching, Dewayne! Yeah, so much great stuff there, but we were limed to only 2 days as we hit Rocky Mountain and Yellowstone on the same trip. Hope to get back. GTNP is very underrated!
Americas Parks I enjoy your vids, keep up the good work....I have a couple of questions for you, when are you going to Capitol Reef, and what is your favorite park in the US? My personal favorite spot on Earth of all I've been to so far, is right there is GTNP. Where the String lake trail ends at the Portage stairs on the shore of Leigh lake looking over the little island to Mount Moran 😁 God bless you and your family, and keep up the good work. I do wish you could maybe do some map sections to show where you are and what your activity route was each day. It helps to put what you are doing in a easier to understand context. Not a criticism, just a thought.
Thanks! Yes, went to Capitol Reef back in 2011, but it was before I shot much video. Hope to get back in the next 2 years and hit the other incredible parks in southern Utah. Favorite? So hard to say. Maybe Grand Canyon or Dry Tortugas. I've done a few map sections, but definitely could do more. Great suggestion! God bless you too!
i know Im asking randomly but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Oliver Landry thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
I actually stumbled upon you on another channel and decided to check you out! Love the channel. We subbed!! And I’m excited to follow along on your travels. Feel free to come check us out as well. Cheers!

It was fun to watch this one from the tent with Shane when we were there.

How did we miss the warm lake, Martin! :) Thanks for the kind words! Sure is a stunning park!

Nothing like some sushi fresh from the ocean of Wyoming.
haha! yeah, but it sure did hit the spot! :)
Was that chipmunk Chip or Dale? I never could tell them apart.
haha! Thanks for joining us!
Is it me or does it kinda look like Rocky Mountain National Park? I have never been to Teton but have been to rocky national
A little bit. I believe the Teton Mountains are more distinct and rugged. Only going from memory.
Glad you were well enough to enjoy the Tetons. Beautiful views of God's creation and appreciate your commitment to God's Word. 🙏😂
Really appreciate that, James! God bless you!
