My hubby and I were there about a month before your trip we're from Grants Pass , OR and a new Lance owner. We loved the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone was pretty amazing as well.
Amazing video and really helpful! Just wanted to add that the Yellowstone and Grand Teton entrance fee is $35 for 7 days and not for a day, but the annual pass is definitely worth it if you are planning to visit more parks in the calendar year :)
Tetons are so beautiful this time of year. Over Teton Pass the west slope is beautiful and less crowded. Thanks so much for sharing. Really enjoyed your stills at the end!
Hello Everyone. Hope you are all doing well. Hope you enjoy Kim and I’s trip to the Grand Tetons. If you have any questions or want to leave your thoughts or suggestions please do. We appreciate all your support.
Very helpful video! What lenses do you recommend for trips like this? I’ve got a canon full frame. You mentioned a 500mm. Not sure I’ve got the cash for something like that for my canon. What were you shooting with the for bear shots? Thanks!
Hi Vera. Thanks for watching and great question. Can’t do wrong with a nice wide angle for the landscape shots. If you want to get wildlife though you are going to need a telephoto. I was using a 200-500 which worked well. Would have liked something even longer but like you it would have been crazy expensive. There are options to rent as well which might be a cheaper solution. Hope you have an awesome trip.
@@adventuresofjandk Thanks for the quick reply! I've got a 16-35 and a 24-70. Not sure if I want to haul around any other lenses or not. But I have rented lenses before, so I'll consider it. Thanks!
I can't wait to get into my first bear jam. It was awesome getting into bison jams in Yellowstone. I wouldn't change it. Strangely I only saw two bears in Yellowstone. So I am hoping to see many in Grand Teton next year in June. July is too hot to see wildlife. Banking on June to be that in-between weather. Those fall colors are breathtaking in the sunrise. 😮
Thank you, that was an awesome video of Teton NP, and the most gorgeous photos too! My boyfriend and I are headed to Yellowstone and Teton next week, and your video really helped us in picking some hiking trails to do as we LOVE to hike. My daughter and I are visiting Portland in early September, have you done a video on must do places for that area of Oregon yet?
Hi Susan. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. We did do a Portland video awhile back. Might not be too current with all the unrest downtown. Portland hasn’t been what it used to be in a long time unfortunately. Kim and I don’t go down there anymore.
@@adventuresofjandk, thank you for your reply and do you think Portland is safe enough for two Hawaii girls to travel? What do you think of exploring Willamette Valley?
@@susanfusuma6472 Willamette Valley is fantastic if you love wine and quaint restaurants. Absolutely beautiful wine country. Portland is hit or miss. If there is a riot downtown that could happen at anytime then ya it would be unsafe. It’s just so full of homeless now that it’s just not a fun walking town anymore. Encampments are everywhere. If it were me I would hit up the Columbia Gorge, Oregon Coast, or Willamette Valley.
This looks awesome. Would love to go but probably a trip to Zion first. Think I would have to hit up lensrentals and get a super telephoto for my trip before heading there.
Thank you Mike. You guys will love the Tetons. Absolutely amazing. You can find a link to the clip in the video description. I love that thing. I use my camera much more then I did when I had to take my bag on and off all the time.
We never saw any bears when we were there in June but we did see a wolverine and ran into a grey fox while walking the dogs that came right into Flagg Ranch campground looking for scraps.
You want to go real cheap? Car camp Gros Ventre. GTNP has changed for 2021 and one needs to go on recreation.gov to get a campsite. Check out the procedure. Might be some sites left or they might be taken up. Anyway, doing the Teton Crest Trail end of July 2021. As for Jenny lake, I started at String Lake to avoid so many people, a longer hike back into Cascade Canyon is amazing. All the way back to South Fork Cascade Canyon. As for this area I and my daughter, she’s my hiking buddy, we’re singing. Bohemian Rhapsody. Saw two black bears and a lot of scat.
Tetons is beautiful, been once and would love to visit again
So would we. So much to see and do. One trip is not enough.

Hi Linda. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. We will never forget those trips. Absolutely amazing.
Loved the video. Loved you guys.

The Grand Tetons are spectacular as is the wildlife.
Yes. Seeing a bear and a moose was the highlight.

Bear paparazzi?Haha. Beautiful video and pictures! Looks like a great trip. I really enjoyed.
Thank you Joe. Great description. Best paparazzi for sure. It was insane.

Amazing !!! Such beautiful fall color! May i ask which time of the year you visited ?
We were there in early October. Best time of the year for fall colors. It was absolutely incredible
Nice 👍 video, but were is you trailer ? Or are the campgrounds closed ?
Thank you. Campgrounds were open but first come first serve. Can’t make reservations so we couldn’t chance it.
I saw some of your photos on Instagram, they were beautiful!
Thank you so much

Nice. No wolves for us but we did see a baby fox which was pretty epic. The bears and the moose though were just awesome.
You should have a boxing match against adventures of a+k.
Do they have a channel? Never heard of them. Funny we don’t watch other travel UA-cam channels.
REI sells the pass as well
Great tip. Much appreciated
Pretty sure its $35 for 7 days. But yeah definitely worth getting the annual pass
Yes correct if visiting parks within a 7 day period.

😂. Nice a little Queen on a hike. Love it.
Hi! Where are your masks from? I have been searching for ones in that style.
Kim actually bought them from starks vacuum which is a Portland based company. We have actually moved to n95’s which fit better.
Could you please provide the link for the camera clip?
It is in the description. Clip is awesome
