Bella Coco, when I started crocheting (years ago) it was your explanations that made it easy. I have friends who want to learn crocheting and I always refer them to you because your pace and demonstration is on point. Thank you and keep doing your thing.
Thank you so much for always remembering to mention the U.S. names for crochet stiches as you go along! It's so much easier to follow along if I don't also have to reference a U.K. to U.S. stitch chart. Your stitches always look beautiful and very well defined. Great for learning (and for the aesthetic of your finished projects)! I appreciate what you do, thanks again!
I have seen a lot of crochet videos and have tried to follow some of them but I have to say yours are so much better. I can follow yours and my projects come out great. Thank you for doing this!
Thank you Sarah Jane! Your baby has an awesome Mom with a soothing voice. I'm home with a cold and my Mom is no longer with us, so I'm going to relax and listen to you. ☺💗
Before I say anything else I just HAVE to tell you how pretty your nails always look!☺️ Thank you for the great tutorials. Always very well explained and the video work is clear and easy to see.
your teaching is so clear and precise and the video quality is amazing too. I wish i saw your video before i started my project. well im binge watching them all lol.
Thank you so much for your excellent tutorial! I haven't crocheted in years, but my son's best friends are both having babies, so I am making them baby blankets. I think this stitch will be beautiful but sturdy. Thank you
Great illustration. I was taught your stitch is called the double half crochet stitch (dhc) wherein you yarn over and pull thru once, then pull thru 2 stitches and hold. So it's an incomplete double crochet. I prefer your pattern than the popcorn stitch that I've been using for baby blankets. Thanks for the very clear and precise instructions.
Lovely stitch work! I’ve been getting ideas of what stitch to use when I make my first purse from crochet and this may be the winner! Thank you for sharing!
You prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Dustin Pierce Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Love it,hope I get the hang it. I’ve been wanting to make a blanket but I don’t know what pattern I want to do, the yarn I have is a bit chunky . I’m sure I’ll find something of yours I can use. You have great stuff. 🙋♀️
Beautiful colours 💜 I have been looking for a tutorial for a dog jumper but they all look very dated and I was hoping ( praying lol) that you may have a pattern ? ? Thanks again xx
Very pretty similar to the bobble stitch, but really like it. Any chance you could do a tutorial for the bead stitch. I tried to follow someone else and couldn’t understand them. Yours are so clear and I’ve learned everything from your tutorials. Thank you for teaching me my new hobby that I love xxx
Carolyn McMillan Emily-Kate Ice Skating Hello! I just want to clear this to you, bobble stitch pops out while this one doesn't. Tho I must agree that the steps are pretty similar. :)
Hi! So I’m looking for a good crochet stitch that would be suitable for crocheting summer clothes, is the cluster stitch suitable or would you recommend another crochet stitch?
I love your work and usually the instruction if beyond fabulous. On this one though, I had trouble seeing exactly which stitch you went into on the cluster round. I think I saw you go in the stitch that was in between the cluster stitch of the previous round .. and my clusters seem a bit off center. Not sure if I'm doing it right or not. Can you explain exactly which hole to go into for the cluster? Thanks!!!!
LOVE this stich, as well as the waffle stitch. Currently torn between them as I know the waffle stitch is a yarn eater. I have 7x200g cakes that I'm planning to use, that'd be enough for a double-bed blanket in waffle stitch right? Only thing about the cluster stitch that bothers me is the gap at the end of the rows.
gmta! I was just gonna comment that I dont like to see how people make neg comments about nails bc its about the crochet but those are too pretty not to mention!!!
@@barbaraward9601 i know you werent. gtma means great minds think alike. you were thinking how i was. its refreshing to see rather than negative comments. sorry i made u feel that way
Hi - love the look of this but wonder about the quite large holes at the ends of the rows? I am thinking of making this for a baby blanket but I am concerned that little fingers might get tangled in these holes. What do you do with them? Thanks
I don't have a tutorial for this stitch in particular, but if you work a round of double crochet stitches (UK terms) around the blanket, it will give you a good base to work any border that you like 😊
Love the pattern ... Would it be okay to use #4 worst weight because I have a lot of that since I’m in the middle of a beginner and knowing what I’m doing...lol. I think it would be fine but just checking? Thanks again for the tutorial.
I have a tutorial here that explains how to prepare your work ready to add a border: ua-cam.com/video/904wGzBtLwY/v-deo.html This will give you a good foundation to add any edging 😊
Hello Bella coco. I had been following your great tuturial for this stitch for a baby blanket all in white but now I would like to do a few rows as pattern but making the cluster rows in blue as a border. Problem is I can't find any written pattern or you tube help for this. I can't think how to start. Do I cut yarn then start and I don't know how to do corners for it. Also would I need to do 1 row to single crochet first. (I use American terms). I would appreciate any help, because I can't carry on and would love to get it finished. Many thanks. X
Once you have finished the blanket you can cut the yarn and fasten off before attaching your blue yarn (you can just tie it on with a knot and then chain one). I think it would help to do a round of single crochets first to give you a nice base to work from around the sides of the blanket - you can work three single crochets into each corner. You can then start making the cluster stitch around the blanket - remember the base has to be an even number. In the corners I would work three double crochets before continuing with the pattern. Hope this helps 😊
@@bellacococrochet thank you for your reply. Sorry another question. When doing the edges where the gaps are because of the chain starting points. When doing the sc row do I go into the space, if so how many in each and then do I do sc into the sc row, if you get me or do I not go into spaces but go into the chains maybe 3 sc along Hope this makes sense again x
Olga Colon it will depend on the weight of yarn and hook size you’re using, so just try it out, and lay the chain against another scarf or blanket you like, or just on the bed or against your body. Hope that helps 🌹
If you hold the base of the loop on the hook between your thumb and middle finger it will hold it steady, and keeping an even tension will help it remain the same size. Hope this answers your question 😊
This would depend on how big you want the blanket to be, your yarn, hook size and your tension. The best thing to do is to chain until you get to your desired width :)
Also is there a way to reduce the holes at the chain 4 space at the beginning. I crochet for charity and would love to make this but the holes are too big at the side. Would it be ok chaining 3?
I chain 3, and at the end of the row, I put the last stitch in the 2nd chain, instead of the 3rd chain. You get a smaller hole/space doing it this way.
i love watching your videos, i would like to know is this blanket a yarn eater as u have to do so many loops, if so how much does it take to do a pram blanket many thanks
You keep saying double crochets but that is not double crochets you're doing. and how is what you did at the end of the row any different than what you were doing all the across the row, am I confused
You may be thinking of US double crochets - I’m using UK terms where a double crochet is equivalent to a US single crochet. The row ends with two double crochets but the difference is you are not making a chain space inbetween 😊

Just curious, if US single stitch is a double in U K, then what is UK term for a single crochet? I'm learning and you are a great teacher.
Glenda Baldwin ha, it's funny, I've been watching for over a year, and have been meaning to ask the same.
Curious minds what’s to know...lol I was thinking 🤔 the same thing.
I don’t think we have SC in UK as it’s either a chain or slip stitch
We don’t have a “single” crochet. We start with doubles and it’s upward from there 😁
nice

Is there a video on how to border the sides of this blanket?

How many change do you have to do for a blanket or scarf.

Any even number to the size you want.
How do you manage to keep the loop closest to the handle from loosening?
If you hold the base of the loop on the hook between your thumb and middle finger it will hold it steady, and keeping an even tension will help it remain the same size. Hope this answers your question 😊
