I hate games that do this. "You get minigames to decide if you can react to punches, but we are going to force your character to make stupid decisions when it actually matters".
even if it wasnt done very well, I was actually pretty impressed with the videogame in that scene- it tests whether youre thinking and realizing its a hallucination and rewarding you with not killing someone. And its not a 50/50 chance like some videogames do, you can actually use your brain to realize that the rats are not real so the monster isnt real aswell

@Stevean2 I'm just watched the stream but from what i saw its got a few problems : like how the game awkwardly handles coop sequences, lots of cuts and abrupt scene changes, particularly starting from 24:00 onwards. at one point in the stream, etalyx's character got stuck in a wall for like 15 minutes and had to stand there until jerma progressed. also not really related but they tried really hard to kill everyone on a second joke playthrough and they couldnt do it for a good 2 hours into the game. The game isn't really "horrible" as it is just sloppy and maybe rushed, it just doesn't seem up to par with Until Dawn.
I don't understand why they just don't make these games with actual actors on actual sets and just use CGI for the effects. The "uncanny valley" is getting really disgusting in these modern generation games. I mean it is just a "choose your own" movie after all. Watch 10mins, press a button, watch 10 mins, select an option. Would having real people on screen instead of AI generated "Hugh-mans" really kill the "immersion"?

That's because its in multiplayer mode, they had to make qte work correctly. The reason the qte sync comes into play when a character is fighting a monster is because all the monsters are actually other players, when the monsters scream its the other person talking.

The fact that you can have TWO hostages in this, and completely lose control of the situation AGAIN even if you make all the right choices shows that this shit is just pointless.
This ship that spend several years roaming around rusting and after being shaken by waves and tides and collision with at least one smaller boat, yet all items are still neatly on the shelves, arranged and all paper is perfectly legible unless the plot demands it not be
I loved this stream when it happened, just Jerma doing everything he can to try and make a good *scheme* to make it more interesting and the Mad because Brad thing nearer the end
