    This helps a lot. When you are purchasing a young fish and you're not sure what to look for, this info really helps!

      I try my best Nick.
      They guys take a good two years before their colour stabilizes. But I don't have the room for that lol

    Hey, Chris! 👋🏼 Thanks for explaining the process. I often wondered if it was done like the black/white rat experiments they taught us in science class. You have the best winter hobby. So much color, beauty, and life to keep you occupied. Thanks for sharing, buddy! 💚

      Thanks so very much my friend.
      Definitely need this hobby as there is way too much white and grey to take all winter long...

    Look at all the fry !! Some beauties in there for sure. I also can't get over how well the plants are doing in the tanks. Fish room is becoming a jungle quickly 😄

    Omgosh Chris, they are all so adorable!! Ooh that “ki utsuri” shubunkin fry is looking very nice. Hope that one continues to develop for you! And you got some nice black & white ones too. Those are my favorites of your adult ones.
    Love the t-shirt my friend 😅😊🤗

      I think I have two ki utsuri style shubbs but have no idea how stable the colours or patterns are ...yet lol
      I really like the Shiro style too

    I never realized that they could breed so small!😮 i also feed 2-3 sometimes 4 times a day depending if fry are involved. I particularly liked at 0:55 + the profile of Jupiter bearing down on the tank😭😭😭 and of course you know I’m kidding!!! I do have a weak sense of humor.!!Lovely video tremendously informative !❤⭐️

    Could you make a video talking about what you are looking for in the body shape (thick, then, long, short, smooth lines, etc...) and what you think needs improving or that you would like to see improving in the breeding stock you currently have. Thanks.

    • @stubbsaquatics6080
      @stubbsaquatics6080  2 місяці тому +1

      Great thinking.
      I may work on that over the winter..
      It's difficult as I like long and shorter finned shubunkin.
      But ya, colour and body shape . Thanks again

    Hello so my water (small town) has to much metal and or nitrates in it and my sponge filter keeps turning reddish and becomes clogged.. how much is too much water treatment because I’ve treated the water and it’s still not getting rid of the problem.. should I put more or just get water from the store idk I’m at a loss
