Several years ago, I used to raise kribs. I used to sell them to help fund more tanks. After the pet shops quit buying, I had to quit them. Thanks for sharing ❤

These kribs are beautiful. Great parents, they do half of the job for us.

Nice looking young koi!

I have some Canna lilies growing in my yard and yes, they grow tall! I can leave them in the ground year round. In the fall I also have some pots that have split open or I need to split them open to repot the plants. Taro is great at splitting pots and so is Alocasia Cucullata, which I grow in the ground and in my ponds.

I live in south Louisiana and I can keep some plants in my ponds for the winter months. Lizardtail is one of the plants. I just cut the tops down after the first frost and they regrow in the spring. It is Nov. 7th and high today is 85 F.

Yea I love these little guys. I had some in the past and had fry but I ended up letting them go for some other fish years ago.

There are a lot of different variety’s of kribs, you have 2 very nice types!😮and arent they just stunning!!😍 when i see a pair of fish taking care of they’re fry and protecting them, its amazing every single time. Chris your kribensis are some of the nicest ive seen. Great tanks you have for them!

If you rehome the koi you can breed your goldfish more or keep more of them. In the long run I think you might be happier with just the goldfish. And I can get my goldfish eating from my hand.

Since I am poor and have small ponds I will stick with goldfish. I would like to have two butterfly koi one day if I can make a larger pond but I do not want to breed koi, only goldfish. But have you tried a large bog filter for your ponds? Most videos with people with bog filter say they will never go back to any other kind of filter. If you have enough healthy fast growing plants, they clean the water. I saw a video years ago where a man used only water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) plants to clean his koi pond. He make large shallow nets for the water hyacinth. They also helped make shade and keep his fish safe from birds.
