100% money can be a very personal thing, specially how one chooses to spend it, however by us making videos showing these places it is very important to be fully transparent with the prices so that everyone can know what to expect and can therefore make their decision on wether they want to spend their money on it or not!

Very nice perspective! So many of the pieces are reproductions. They are a great aesthetic, but not truly vintage.
My father was an auctioneer and traveled the world for his auctions for pieces like this. Mostly bought in bulk-like the school stools. Still a beautiful, just not an authentic piece.
You just have to be careful how you spend your money whether you are actually purchasing an antique or reproduction.

Good video, but sorry for saying this: these things are vintage like I am a priest (I’m not). They are manufactured to look vintage and they are completely stripped from any finishing to fit in the present trend. The so called “French vanity” is very probably not vintage and for sure certainly not French. I am French, I’ve been scouring the French flea markets, brocantes, antique stores my whole life as long as I was still in France and I can guarantee you that I have never seen a piece without any finishing on it. And by supposing that they stripped this vanity, anyway the feet are not right, I’ve never seen feet like that in France, I mean among the vintage or antique pieces. I live in Los Angeles now, and people here have no idea what is a vintage or antique French piece of furniture. They usually have a style corresponding to a period in the French history, that’s how we recognize their style and age. And here, according to what you are showing, I am recognizing nothing at all. And why stripping all this wood? I understand that the raw look is very trendy now, but it’s not French at all for sure. So considering all this, I think that the prices are rather high. I personally don’t want to pay these kinds of prices when I don’t know if little kids have been working for nothing to manufacture these pieces, little kids or underpaid workers. I am not saying that this is the truth, I am giving you my own opinion by watching what you are showing - and you are showing everything perfectly well - and by being a French woman myself interested in second hand items, vintage, not vintage, antique or not. I like transparency, and here I have my doubts. When you think about it, how are the odds that they find so many old pieces of the same kind in two or three weeks and they bring them all from foreign countries? Just the price of the shipping and the time it takes to arrive in L.A. would make each piece much more expensive. It wouldn’t be profitable to do so, unless they originally were very very cheap to purchase. And I can tell you, French vintage or antique items are rarely cheap to purchase. And there are not so many quantities to purchase. This is why prices are high in France, because of the rarity. So I don’t know what is all this mishmash, but I wouldn’t pay for anything without knowing exactly where all this comes from. These things are nice to look at, it’s all what I can say. Great designers for those who invented these objects. Just one thing: the soap that you showed is probably originally French (Savon de Marseille) but we can find some of them in L.A. I buy my savons de Marseille at Walmart’s. And even if they are not from Marseille, we can find some French soaps here.

@@tomasrosaless I already did, I receive their newsletter and I am following them on Instagram. It is pleasant to look at their objects, but this is my opinion and you do whatever you want with it. If people are happy to spend this kind of money on these things, good for them. I won’t unless I am convinced about the origin and if the price makes sense to me. So far, according to what I saw online, I am not convinced at all, but this is just my humble opinion.
