What a beautiful, warm couple and home! There's always going to be *someone* in the comments offering their two cents on what someone else's home should look like. But this couple has clearly put thought, love, and teamwork into adapting this lovely historic home and it shows! A perfect example of a home that might not necessarily be my personal style, but that I feel very inspired by. Thank you for sharing!
Initially looks like a standard cottage interior but after a closer look you can see how well curated everything is and love the subtle modern features
What a beautiful collection of curated items. Love that you have so many fireplaces and kept all the old features of the house. Thanks so much for sharing.
This home is delightful and very personal to this lovely couple. It is designed to what They like and it is their family home. I love that they’ve incorporated so many things they have bought together in their travels into this farm house and not hidden them away. Loved everything about this home. The little girl was just adorable which was an added bonus.
Oh this one is special! I adore all the special curated items and they both have such a great eye for beauty. Also love the warmth of the fireplaces in all the rooms.
Elevated fireplaces❤?! I’m in love! There’s a clarity, texture & warmth to this home that really appeals to me. Would love to stay there & just experience it for a week…especially in the winter months! Kudos to these lovely homeowners👏🙂!
A stunning property. The natural wood furniture & exposed brickwork is beautiful. Very tastefully done. A great house to have kids in with the robust floors.
I know it’s wrong to choose favourites when there are so many gorgeous items, but that kitchen island is spectacular! But really an amazingly done house throughout.
Beautiful example of working with neutrals but loads of interesting natural materials with warmth and texture. There's no lack of color here irl, although on camera magentas and cyans give the best pop; they have rugs, pottery and folkart scattered everywhere and the more neutral scheme showcases these and all the aged woods perfectly. I'd feel very relaxed in this house, and not be mindboggled by the amount of constant dusting many other featured homes must involve 😉 Really lovely pieces that all seem like they've been there forever. And I like the slightly modern feel contrasting the antiques. Nothing mumsy about this house!
@@idaslpdhr Oh I knew that as soon as the video started. Most of these arty rich folks with quaint high/low aesthetic style cottages live and work primarily in the capital. A second home that's totally different to your main dwelling is everybody's dream isn't it?
Lovely, favourite picks: the french linen sheets for curtains, antique cushions, old saddlebags for backseat covers, grainy rich-coloured curtains, sofa throws, soft furnishings, earthy colour palette, chunky pieces of furniture, original slate flooring, farmhouse balanced and harmonious eclectics.
It's such a cold house. You both look lovely and have a nice family so it's nothing personal. The house looks like it lacks identity and I can't imagine relaxing there
I totally agree ! In general, I like the darkness of the cottages, it's cosy and warm ! but this one, i dont know, the whole decor doesn't work. This cottage seems lifeless to me.
I've changed my mind a little bit since and perhaps a bit gratuitous hahaha. Maybe the identity disappeared due to tidy up for the shoot as if you remove all your daily stuff to make it look nice, it can happen I guess. Jamb is definitely a very particular style and It's worth seeing their London shop absolutely. At the end of the day I wish I had a house like that@@yogaqueen1527
Sigh love it and want to try to slightly replicate where I can in my 18th century farm house. I wish they would tell us more of the paint colors selected, like the front door’s color or the lower cabinets in the kitchen. I already saved the one he mentions on the wall in Bone but all the other greens and whites would have been lovely to also capture.
A handsome house and furnished in high taste, but essentially a prime example of how our countryside is being appropriated and sterilised by the moneyed. This farmhouse will have been an authentic and lively family home when it was a working farm. Now it is uber-chic but feels static and sad, contrived and for display only. It isn't lived in and there is no sign of children living and growing there despite the repeated emphasis on the word 'family' and the toddler appearing on cue. I appreciate that it is a newly completed project but it will only take on any authenticity and warmth when it is lived in. 'We have antique saddlebags draped over chairs' 😉
Our countryside isn't being sterilized by people like this who have done a tasteful, superb, and authentic renovation... it is being ruined by money-grabbing developers and lazy community planners who are filling what were once farm fields with cheap, ugly housing estates. And as for, "it doesn't look like children live there"... her room was beautiful and not everyone litters their home with cheap plastic kid's toys that are made in China. Homes of the period were not crammed with crap.
This is so true. I grew up about 10 miles from there (the description says it's in the Duke of Somerset’s estate in Wiltshire) and it's changed so much over the last two decades. When I was a child in the 1990s-2000s, everyone in our village (population: 1,000) lived there permanently and worked nearby. It's surrounded by working farms and back then it was "too rural" so the London set weren't really interested in buying up the properties to use as their second houses. However, last year a celebrity bought three of the houses and knocked them all together to create one giant cottagecore dream. Architecturally, I have no doubt that it's going to be absolutely stunning. Whenever I've seen the celebrity on TV they've always seemed to have impeccable taste and a unique sense of style. They're a musician who tours for half the year and they're very open about how London will always be their main base, this house is just a quiet place for them to get away to every once in a while. The house is round the corner from the tiny primary school I attended. Sometimes I wonder about the three families who could have lived in those houses full-time. Sorry for the rambling, your comment clearly sparked something in me - thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing. If I may mention 3 things I dont like it's 1. The big ceiling light in the kitchen. 2. Curtains should just touch the floor. More practical and better looking. 3. I would like more art displayed on the walls ie paintings, old photos and mirrors. Just my opinion but I love the house interior.
beautiful young couple with a tasteful home but so cold. the hard floors are so unforgiving. and choosing blue for the winter lounge will add to that. i can understand why, even with work commitments, they don't go there much.
I dont agree , the orange, cream and the warm wood make it very cosy and welcoming not to mention the amazing fire place. I could spend and hour or two happily reading in that beautiful room.
I love the house and the antiques, they did a great job but why remove all the fireplace surrounds, removing original features in my opinion is quite sad.
Whatever colour it is it will look completely different in your own home.. position, lighting size etc. Just find your own swatches and go with what works in your own home.
Beautiful, but I would take off all those window treatments! They are making an already somewhat dark and diminutive space look more-so. Get some extra light bouncing around with large mirrors and extra lighting! Open the ceiling to the rafters in at least one or two and/or add skylights if at all possible. Best of luck!
I live in Asia .... shoes off at the door is their culture ... if I sat in the house with a big pair of boots I'd be dead forget the walnut, patina and fabrics ... honestly Google why you should take your shoes off before entering the house ... it's interesting 😮

Yes, there's some not very nice comments on this video. Sad people
Initially looks like a standard cottage interior but after a closer look you can see how well curated everything is and love the subtle modern features
I always see the most amazing and nice things in thse videos that dont seem to exist in the real world like the blanket on the sofa.
That’s a good thing in home decor. It’s looks like it grew there rather than merely purchased.
What a beautiful collection of curated items. Love that you have so many fireplaces and kept all the old features of the house. Thanks so much for sharing.
😊
Wonderful!! Loved when the little one wandered in front of the camera, so precious!
This home is delightful and very personal to this lovely couple.

Loved everything about this home. The little girl was just adorable which was an added bonus.
Watching this twice because the home is just so beautiful.
Love the color, the warm, the contrast of the rich patina woods,so much story, history.❤

Charming home with so much character💛
Amazing that House and Garden have featured such a beautiful habitat, and a brilliantly normal couple, with their child. Excellent.
The new normal.
Beautifully rustic space. A perfect marriage of classic and rustic style
What a beautiful renovation...every detail gorgeous...
Nice in keeping all the old. Love the pendant lighting in kitchen!
Bravo! Such a calm and serene space. This is the kind of environment where I get inspired to create. ❤
A stunning property. The natural wood furniture & exposed brickwork is beautiful. Very tastefully done. A great house to have kids in with the robust floors.
the color choices are exquisite.
I love it. Stunning! Beautifully curated.
I know it’s wrong to choose favourites when there are so many gorgeous items, but that kitchen island is spectacular! But really an amazingly done house throughout.
Such rustic elegance.
Well said.
Every room is more beautiful than the last! I love all the exposed brick fireplaces.

This is my dream home!!! Beautiful and calming. Thank you for the lovely tour! ❤️
Wonderful home with beautifully curated pieces throughout. Thank you for sharing.
Wow, this house is amazing. I want everything in it.
Beautifully done
Great taste and sense of style. Very nice!! Lucky you guys to have such a nice place 👍
Wow! Beautiful! You guys did a great job.
I am so inspired by this home, it is so beautiful... a favorite for sure.
I couldn't live in this stunning property but it would be an ideal holiday home. Very inspiring to see what they did here. They both have a great eye.
Neither do they, they work in London
@@idaslpdhr Oh I knew that as soon as the video started. Most of these arty rich folks with quaint high/low aesthetic style cottages live and work primarily in the capital. A second home that's totally different to your main dwelling is everybody's dream isn't it?
Probably the most delightful interiors I have ever seen. I'm saving this vlog in my cottages folder. Be glad you made the list lol 😅
Lovely, favourite picks: the french linen sheets for curtains, antique cushions, old saddlebags for backseat covers, grainy rich-coloured curtains, sofa throws, soft furnishings, earthy colour palette, chunky pieces of furniture, original slate flooring, farmhouse balanced and harmonious eclectics.
such a wonderful balance of closed rooms and open concept. incredibly well-done
What a charming home💫The aesthetic reminds me of an American designer Rose Tarlow.
Agreed.
This place is absolute perfection
I love your home and the decor. What a beauty.
Lovely, lovely home!
I just woke up and this was heaven to watch!!!!
Love the Family ❤️ Their style feels cold to me …please bring us COLOR and warmth H&G 🙏
Stunning. What a talented couple.
What a stunning collection of folkart ❤. I love the mix of rustic finishes with antiques and modern furnitures. One of my favorites.
So lovely. Love their style.
This is what having a good taste looks like. Understated, lived in ,worn out pieces yet sophisticated.
Yes! ABSOLUTELY YES!
Such a well curated space!
HOW TOTALLY FINE-CONGRATULATIONS ON ALL LEVELS-John
I love it,, for me is locking a little more color on somewhere!!
Beautiful family, beautiful home ❤
I think I actually loved everything. 🎉
A beautiful home. I love it 😍
this is how my dream home would look xx love it
I love a cozy bedroom too❤️Also, I will have to watch this a few times!
Stunning. Perfection in every way.
Lovely, thank you for showing us your home.
Gorgeous home.
Gorgeous!
Love it!❤ Would not change a thing.
Now this is my dream home, absolutely gorgeous 😍😍 what amazing design style they have
This is amazing - watched it a couple of times
Stunning
gorgeous space.
Lovely, cosy property ✅
Very nice indeed, its a home that's very liveable and not just for show.
Don't day "sorry" about your little girl walking in front of the camera, it was the best part of this video .
It's such a cold house. You both look lovely and have a nice family so it's nothing personal. The house looks like it lacks identity and I can't imagine relaxing there
What nonsense- it isn't cold at all. Simple elegance is what it is.
I totally agree ! In general, I like the darkness of the cottages, it's cosy and warm ! but this one, i dont know, the whole decor doesn't work. This cottage seems lifeless to me.
I agree. The decor makes it cold. It's not decorated nicely

The textures , the rich textiles, the colors, the warmth of the wood, the enveloping draperies… I find it so welcoming.
beautiful!
Just beautiful !

Soo beautiful!
Amazing interior 😍😍😍😍😍😍.
Lovely home.
such a lovely home, have a sense that these two are not getting along well together though
Linda casa, amei! Gosto muito deste estilo rústico. Abraços e felicidades!
Lovely home❤
Love it. X
"I tried to layer in a bit more color.." I don't think she got her way enough.
obsessed is an understatement

I would'nt say it's furnished in "high taste". To me, it's an accumulation of trendy things....but i dont like the result, the cottage seems so sad.
Thanks for sharing. If I may mention 3 things I dont like it's
1. The big ceiling light in the kitchen.
2. Curtains should just touch the floor. More practical and better looking.

Just my opinion but I love the house interior.
Is the winter sitting room farrow&ball greenblue?
Found my deco tribe. 😊
Harry Enfield summed it up perfectly
Love everything ♥️
Liked his jacket anyone know where it’s from?
beautiful young couple with a tasteful home but so cold. the hard floors are so unforgiving. and choosing blue for the winter lounge will add to that. i can understand why, even with work commitments, they don't go there much.
I dont agree , the orange, cream and the warm wood make it very cosy and welcoming not to mention the amazing fire place. I could spend and hour or two happily reading in that beautiful room.
I can just imagine what you live in🤣.
Beautiful, rustic and cozy.
But the style is very African. Which makes it more interesting❗💛🌟✨👌🏾
I love the house and the antiques, they did a great job but why remove all the fireplace surrounds, removing original features in my opinion is quite sad.
What’s the wall colour in the sitting room?
My dream❤
I would love to know the colour paint on the kitchen cabinets, really beautiful shade of blue/green 😍
Whatever colour it is it will look completely different in your own home.. position, lighting size etc. Just find your own swatches and go with what works in your own home.
Ann with an E home vibes
Beautiful, but I would take off all those window treatments! They are making an already somewhat dark and diminutive space look more-so. Get some extra light bouncing around with large mirrors and extra lighting! Open the ceiling to the rafters in at least one or two and/or add skylights if at all possible. Best of luck!
Thank heavens it's not your house then 😊
You must not be English. Those window and door treatments also keep the place warm by stopping the draft, especially in an old home.
I live in Asia .... shoes off at the door is their culture ... if I sat in the house with a big pair of boots I'd be dead forget the walnut, patina and fabrics ... honestly Google why you should take your shoes off before entering the house ... it's interesting 😮
Needs a few cosy Dunelm rugs x
That kitchen light is hideous.......the aliens have landed on your island🤣
❤
I love all of their items but for some reason this doesn’t feel like a home.
😳😳😳😳😍😍😍😍😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇬🇧
👍
THIS is "farmhouse" i can get behind!! not that magnolia farms crap
