That's actually quite practical and easy to reproduce. I succeed mostly on feel and how much I open the face to reduce or increase distance and control stop distance but the idea of having a level 1,2 and varying swing backswing is a good strategy. I'll be adding this along with my face open adjustments and have some fun! Thanks for the tips

Am I to understand that you carry 5 wedges? 60, 56, 52, Gap (I think I heard you say 49), plus PW. What have you taken out of the bag to get back to 14? Thanks for the demo. Interesting how you change tempo along with swing lengths.

In my bag I carry a 58 (lob) 54 (sand) 52 (gap) and a 48 (pitching) wedge. Then 9,8,7,6,5,3 irons, 5 wood , 3 wood, and Driver and putter. Some people will love having two tempos for a given backswing. Other people just stick with 1 and change clubs. But building up a yardage card from the PW distance into the green can really help you with confidence on the course.

Very valuable distance control technique. How accurate would you say Trackman numbers are to the real world conditions you see on a course?

I use Trackman all the time indoors right before playing and it is spot on for the feelings needed to produce the distances outdoors. Once great thing about Trackman is you can adjust the altitude and temperature settings as well to exactly match where you will be playing when it generates the carry distance numbers - even indoors.
