Too bad for piffle on the mouse slip, but he played principled throughout. How you took advantage of the weaknesses created in lieu of finishing development was very instructive
Hey everyone! Nelson, thanks for an excellent game and I'm sorry I couldn't put up more of a fight. I'll be posting the analysis today. I've been plagued with laptop issues and it's still being repaired, so I've been unable to post to my channel for a couple of weeks. I'll be back to it soon!
My advice is you have to consider your opponent's moves more. A lot of Nelson's opponents spend time looking at their next move, without considering what Nelson is going to play. You should imagine you are your opponent and think what move(s) you would play.
You guys should play again! I feel like the mouse slip had a butterfly effect on that game that just snowballed out of control. It was very satisifying to see the pressure, very instructive. He was wanting to castle a lot sooner but just couldn't!
A rematch is definitely on the cards and I'll try to improve before we play again. His pressure was impressive even though I was the one being pressed.
One of the biggest issues for me is that I don’t play too solid. I can find tactics just fine. I can memorize different lines and stuff but often times my defense and king safety is a big issue.
20:30 After c4 cannot Black try f5, as exf6 ep is answered by Nxf6 and cxd5 is answered by fxe4. Doing this visually only, so may be missing something.
Scary to see the 28 minute duration of the video given the time control--was guessing a straightforward win, not as much of a battle as the previous two videos. Too bad about the mouse slip.
Hi Nelsi Nice video as always One idea of a video and one topic I was always curious about is how do you study chess effectively? I’m asking this because you seem to remember a lot of lines from all sorts of openings but when I study, I can spend ages studying certain lines but if I don’t come across them for a long time I might end up forgetting everything However you and other good players always remember everything down to small details How do you do that?
It seems to be by lots of repetition. Play the same openings over and over and you’ll see all the variations, and be studying ones that were unfamiliar.
Mr. Pifflesticks, What if at 21:47 when Nelson moved his pawn to C4, you leave your knight where it is? If white immediately captures, then you capture back with your pawn which is now in the way of the white queen. If you do move your knight, then at 25:46, instead of moving the rook to d8, you can move the king to d8 and then c6. Yes, you get forked and lose a rook, but you are still alive. Imagine if your knight or pawn were still on d5, this scenario might not be happening. But what do I know, I'm only about half your rating. Enjoyed the show. Thanks to you both.
True enough, until the black Queen moves to c6 and offers a queen trade. Seems to me that white's attack is then stalled whether queens are traded or not. @@timm439
As a 1800-1900 player myself, call me crazy but as soon as i saw the pressure coming, i woulda castled queenside ready to do a discovered check to nelsons queen
Fantastic content ! I have been watching all recent games in this series with great joy ! How can i apply for a chance to play one of such games vs Nelsi ? ( I am 1550 ELO as well ) :)
5. Re1 is quite a serious inaccuracy. White should've punished Black with 5.e5, which leaves Black with an objectively worse and very hard to handle position for a 1500.

Thanks for saying so.
I feel that your strategic thinking was good, but you needed to calculate concrete lines more often.
I completely agree. I'm struggling to learn to do that often, but I know I need to!
That slip really determined the outcome of the game, I’d love to see a rematch!

I like these “see how each other thinks” videos, they’re very instructional! Thanks.

Great game! Looking forward to the analysis and discussion on his channel!
I love these kind of videos!

google en passant
but yeah no this seems fairly good
It would be interesting if both plays with no time limit bec they would be at ease making decisions. The difference then would become very apparent.
Dang dude quit his job to do full time chess as a 1500 least I could do is throw a follow. Dude is living my dream

The thought process is so much different in this rating gap. No wonder it is hard to get past 2000 without proper coaching.
you don't need coaching to get to 2000. Just dedication and efficient study
@@PickleCODM-hw6cj Which is technically self-coaching.
@@sullenskulls9709 sana said "proper" coaching. Self-coaching doesn't count
You just have to spend time studying. Don’t need coaching unless you are trying to be a GM or something
Nelson, it's been about 4 hours since you posted, and the video's not up!
Not gonna lie that mouse slip had me laughing 😂
Keep these kind of videos coming, Nelson!
These type of videos have been great. Thanks
What surprises me is that none of your opponents have played a d4 system. Not that I'm volunteering to be slaughtered...
Another great collab.

In your first line, the queen can just take the free pawn you “put in the way”, and threaten the rook at the same time.

Try to get a game against Danya. He seems to be a reasonable person that would do a collab. Cant hurt to reach out to him

@@KingPanda-lp5ir it seems he has a preference for other UA-camrs. But you never know, maybe some day we get a chance 😎🙂💪

Can we do 1600? I peaked at 1698. And average at abt 1570-1630+
Idk.
keep doing this
"Intresting move " 😂
Still sad get a rematch plz ❤
The mouse slip was unfortunate. I think a rematch is in order.
Don't see review on his channel.
I'm going to post it today. I've had a series of laptop issues and have been unable to post for a couple of weeks!
Bb4 is a side line? That is literally all I see…
Áre you ready for your next challenge?
