As a 1350 myself I feel proud that someone at my level did so well.
thanks 😊
Stockfish.
@@FreeDomSy-nk9ue i am not stockfish 😅
@@BobojonChess idk man. That game was sussi for a 1300. Maybe you're ELO is not real.
Why is nobody here praising the 1300 who drew a NATIONAL MASTER?
😊
I think he was very good.
I am 👋
He played a superb defence and clearly won't be at 1300 for much longer if he keeps up this standard.
@@danielward7008 thanks 😊🔥
Im a bout 1600 blitz and Ive beaten one (that, to be fair berserked, so I had time odds). The problem at this level starts becoming not that you're not good enough to beat one, but the lack of consistency. Ive gotten winning positions against GMs a few times (and I havent even played many) but they just grind you down until you're suddenly losing. It's frustrating when you know a player at your level would crumble but they just *keep* fighting back. Instructive on why they tell you to never surrender though, I just tend to go to the next game when I get a position like that.
This series is very interesting and insightful from both perspectives, Nelson. I’m liking it.
Loving this series - So helpful, keep going!
thanks
Toward the end (timestamp 26:20) they both had a turn with a huge pawn advantage - first black made a mistake, but white followed it up with a mistake which restored the draw condition. Since white had a lot more time on the clock it would have been worth slowing down to consider the moves a bit more. It was here:
45. ... c6 (white has advantage)
46. a3 (black has advantage)
After c6, white has c5 winning the game and after blundering with a3, black has cxd5, cxd5, b5 and black is winning
He's an underrated 1340
Thanks for the game Nelson 😊✊
You legit played better than a 1800 there.
I now feel better knowing they are actually good. Because I legit sometimes lose to 1300s even if im 1500s.
yes maybe 😊
You played super well, amazing game!!
@@screamer22222thanks 😊
You played very well indeed, you should be proud of that game. Well done
Wow, he played way better than a 1300. Ngl Nelson might have won if he didn’t blunder that pawn at the end but his opponent played a really impressive game
thanks 😊
This is an amazing series. Very insightful, awesome to see! Exciting also to see a lower rated player wanting to keep pieces on the board rather than simplifying, and even finding some great tactics. I look forward to seeing how he (and this series) develop!
thanks 😊
When I was playing seriously (about 40 years ago!) I was about 1900. Drawing with a player 900 points higher - that would be like me drawing with Magnus!
Magnus is rated over 3000 , but yes this 1300 did very well, nelson was not playing very seriously tho he gave the 1300 many chances to win the game, however I repeat the 1300 did way better than I probably would have
Bravo to BoboJonChessUA-cam for the draw. He fought well. Obvously commenting while playing in a speedrun is somewhat challenging even for an IM or GM. Nelson messed up the pawn but was running out of time. Again, bravo for the 1300 rated dude 😎.
NGL I have noticed that most of these 1000 level players never seem to consider Casting Queen Side.
maybe but castling queen side was mistake in this situation cause he might be start pushing his pons and attack to may king who knows😊
@@BobojonChess There are four things I consider when deciding which way to go, which Pawns are best positioned to protect the King, which side is my opponent attacking , which side did my opponent Castle as I like to go the opposite way and do I want to prioritize King Safety or Rook activity.
With Nelson Castling King Side and the King Side Pawns marching down the board, the thought of Castling King Side wouldn't even enter my head. I think that Nelson was expecting Queen Side too.
@@christianfrost8660 yes you're right
The Pawn-Endgame is something you might try to check in the Chessengine. Have you tried it?
Fantastic series! Really loving these videos. Well done, both of you!
thanks
To show my unsophisticated strategy, I would have gone Bxf5 at 7:00, figuring that white's DSB is already neutralized.
Great game by your opponent, hope to see him climb
This was a super cool format. Awesome job both of them.
thanks
In the king pawn /rook endgame, one of the most important rule is move the king first to be next to pawn before pushing pawns, otherwise you will blunder the pawn. Nelson forgot the rule and pushed the pawn first, this allow Bobojon to capture the pawn. With the exception is your passed pawn and the opponent king is at the opposite side of the board, then you should keep pushing passed pawn. One of my recent game was the opponent miscalculated in rook pawn endgame. The opponent thought that I had only one minute left so he traded the rook. However, his king was at the g file and he had only one pawn at b file while I have 1 pawn at a file and b file. Moreover, my king is at e file. So I can push the a and b file pawn to make passed pawn in a file, and able to move my king to stop the opponent passed pawn at h file(this is why keeping the king at center and go to endgame nearly win all even materials rook pawn endgame as your king can either faster in attack or defend).
Love the series!
7:22 Missed tactic: He missed a knight sacrifice on taking the pawn on g5 and when your opponent takes with the pawn then you take the g4 knight with your bishop and this capture is also a pin because it pins the knight to the bishop.
Alternative: If your opponent doesn’t accept the knight capture on g5 and proceeds to take the bishop on g3 then, you move your knight from g5 to e6 and this is when your opponent might stop the fork and if they take the knight with the bishop then you capture with the pawn and if they take your g3 bishop then you would capture with hxg3 and you would have an open light square diagonal to attack the king and also you can move the last knight to attack the other knight and the best move for the last knight is back to its starting square and this isn’t a set back because it gives you tempo and black has to move or we take the knight.
Interesting idea but nope: 1.Nxg5? Nxg3 2.Ne6 Bxe6 and you actually miss a tempo here. I think you miscalculated a move as you say "and if they take the knight with the bishop then you capture with the pawn and if they take your g3 bishop"; the latter already happened, so 3.dxe6? Nxh1 -+. Took the liberty of consulting SF quickly on Nxg5, but it's indeed -2.5ish.
Missed tactic of making use of an engine to evaluate a line before posting. It happens way more than it should.
But that one is very obvious. You don't need an engine to see that Nxg5 can never work.
Wow! Great job Bobojon! Great play! Great thought process!
Big ups to the 1300 guy👏👏👏👏
Nelson, you shouldn't push your connected passed e5 pawn and have it captured exchanging rooks. That's where you have blundered.
I thought Queen side castling was a possibility for white, but he didn't consider it.
When white had his king on c2 and black had his king on e2
White played Kc3
Black could've gone Kd1 and whites only options would be to lose by going Kb2 or go Kd3 and run to other side so that he can promote and draw the game
Judging by the level difference and the repetition of the word opposition that white kept saying he probably would've played Kb2 after black plays Kd1, and lost the game
This was (I think) the last trick black had
Gg for both, thank you both for the video
great video
Try the "Nelson Mandela Gambit" next time?
🦓 for the win!
Nice video. Next time you should play again with him chess vibes!
i agree for this 😊✊🔥
The black bishop was stucked, probably you should try to open the diagonal for this piece when your knight was still on the board. The Epawn blocked its potential. Bobojon played very good game. 1300? Hard to belive:)
Hello guys .I have one problem.... In Queens Gambit most of the times my last left pawns (or just the last left alone )always stay alone without protection after the opening. What's the best move in Queens Gambit in this section?
That was a good game
Impressive draw for a 1300 elo
thanks 😊
Pretty good, nelson could have probably won the rook pawn endgame with more time
bobojon you should clean up your endgame technique. After the h pawns got traded off you should not have allowed blacks king anywhere near your position. Your king should have stayed on the F and E files. If you ever were able to get your king to f6 or e6 you would have had a winning position.
thanks 😊 i will try learn
It is interesting, you played a game before hand and you beat him in 14 moves via check mate.
What kind of appointment you have nelson? Chess appointment? You can't actually think anything else other than chess
Bit rude, imo. YT streamers also have daily lives 😑
It’s a chess channel. What do you expect?
Great job Bobojon! Timewise, Nelson would lose too on time but Bobojon made a draw pawn endgame! ‼️‼️‼️
thanks
VERY nice game!!
Interesting
That dude is NOT 1300, come on :)
you could see me i am 1300 😅😊 But i am not playing rapid in this days maybe you're right i am not 1300😂
@@BobojonChess you're rated 1300, but you're a much stronger player :) GG, mate.
@@b005t3r thanks 😊🔥
I agree! He plays like a 1750 player which is really good his rating.
@@jonathancauley5345 thanks
If you need someone for 1800-1900 I’m down!!
Me too! It was interesting to watch his game against the 1400 that he nearly lost, since he is rated 400 above us and his opponent 400 below us. Then again, rapid games are not the same as OTB rated slow time controls.
Good game!
No man I came here for the thumbnail showing why the Bishop fork was a blunder and you didn't even show us why.
He explained it in the video. It's because the white queen can capture the bishop. If black recaptures with the queen, white can play Ne7+ and win the queen back.
@@montagdpFunny thing is that his opponent made the blunder because he did not see the bishop attack and did not see the fork either.
@@crush_override yup, I think you're right. Possibly he would have seen it if Nelson had played the fork, but it definitely wasn't on his radar.
@@crush_overrideyea i didn't see that but if bishop goes there i would be found this move easyly
1300 my ass, guy plays like he is 1900-2000
GG
No way he played like a 1300 that's a 1800 average minimum.
thanks
@@BobojonChess Good luck getting there, you should be there by the end of summer! 🌞
Nelsy?
Do not let them take your pawns haha who would have known. I think it was a flukey draw to be honest.
In combat sports, they say styles make fights, not rankings. Sometimes, I think the chess rating system is overblown, especially when everybody starts with the same pieces, same time on the clock, and same moves available to them. Personally, I prefer to think of chess matches as between individuals, and not various ratings. On any given day, anybody can win. Kudos to Bobojon for rising above everybody's expectations.
thanks
This video is fine. The previous two videos of this series has been too lengthy like almost one hour.
At 10:48 white should triple up his pawns.
21:03 play the line Bf6, Bg5, and then Be3.
Just my opinion but I'm not a fan of this format of video. Love your other stuff though. Cheers!
the way he talks annoys me
Which one ?
@@janpeterbaark7540 bobojon
Same lol
Wook
At around 9 min clock time on both, if he pushed bishop and followed with queen, subsequently developing the knight, couldn’t you have fallen into a very early checkmate? One more move and you’re done since the knight covered your only way out.
I’m a low level so if I’m the only one who saw this please like?
Oh I missed the knight cover but I’m a low level like I said hehe
A little humility would've gotten better praise to the opponent. Too cocky.
Interesting
