- After a hiatus of being gone since August the 2555 is back on home rails in New Hampshire! Just looks a little different. New England Southern's locomotive ex Union Pacific SW1500 2555 was sold to GATX over the summer. GATX renumbered it to 1505 and is under the reporting marks GMTX. The 1505 is still however the primary power on New England Southern operations. The 1505 was in Burlington, VT at the Vermont Rail Systems locomotive shop receiving some upgrades and a 90 day inspection.
In this video you will see the chase starting out in Concord and chasing to Lochmere north of Tilton. 1505 will start out with a small consist of 2 slurry cars for 3M. It will pick up 2 covered hoppers in Canterbury to bring back south to Concord. After setting off the 2 slurry cars at 3M 1505 will head back down to Concord where they will set off the 2 covered hoppers for Pan Am's Nashua local to bring back south. 1505 will then head lite to Canterbury ending the long day at the NEGS headquarters.
Thanks for watching!
