[QUESTION] Good morning! I've been watching the whole series. It's fun watching you "wear down" into faster videos and more sarcastic comments! It's actually good that you don't you don't repeat every detail every time.
Can you comment on what you have as as the cloth shields on the side rails? Did you make them? How are they attached? Etc? My Journeyman arrives... TODAY!!!

I made those. They are just strips of cloth cut to fit the area clipped on by adhesive alligator clips!

Listening to the marbles roll down the tracks made me think of a possible project. You could do a rain stick?

Absolutely nutty the squirrel took the apple… would love to see the game cam footage lol. Additionally, this has quickly become one of my favorite series on UA-cam, I hope you get some good exposure for it!!

The stripper knife! Google searches may have been a problem though. 👀

I primarily make kids toys with my CNC.
My whole business is actually kids stuff. Kids love this stuff. I think I'd make the paths on the race intersect and be a bit different to have a variety.
I can't believe your almost half way through the month.
Next month is gonna feel quiet from you in comparison

Instead of the giant holding board, how about a simple pocket cut in the shape of a circle or oval that is open to the end of a smaller second board. That board would be attached at the end of the runner boards with a hinge, allowing it to catch the marbles at the end and collect them over multiple runs. If you wanted to be fancy, have magnets to it stays closed when flipped up onto the runner board.

I assume that your machine is square to the wasteboard? I have not seen you ensure that each of your project boards is the same thickness throughout. I flatten every board, sand that side to 440 or so, flip it over, flatten, sand this side, and then make something. That way I am sure it is the same thickness all over. I use double-sided tape for the first side, and tape and CA glue for the other side. Am I overthinking and overworking the board even before I make something?

I personally don't do anything on the CNC that need to be THAT flat. The flatness I get off my planer is more than enough for my projects. Thats just my opinion, though. I don't see anything wrong with what you're doing if you've got the time to do it!

@@HamiltonDilbeck My projects are not that good. But they are flat.

Wait, did you just say you mounted your controller… and that’s why it moved? Eewwww 😂
