"Nancy has a chocolate problem" Um...did we forget when Krolmeister gave her a lifetime supply of chocolate for solving Trail of the Twister? Not to mention, wouldn't Carson Drew potential handling of Nancy's case would be considered a conflict of interest and unethical?
3:09 I can believe that she can. She was forced to dial 10 didget phone numbers for over TWENTY GAMES. It would be a sin for her NOT to have those numbers down packed.
Ag Jr I agree! I actually had all the recurring characters' phone numbers memorized when I was a kid, not because I consciously made an effort to memorize them, but because I played the games so much and had to manually dial phone number for all of them that were out at the time 😂
I’m glad I’m not the only who thought everybody was wayyyy mean. Like, I get that they thought Nancy committed this crime, but why be like that to Ned, Bess, and George too? Pretty funny though.
I like how they reference Secret of the Old Clock but don't try to cover up the fact it was Nancy who found the will. They could have handwaved it by saying Nancy was named after her grandmother. Sure, it's not the best explanation but it is an explanation.
#25... But, Michael, don't we ALL have Ned and George's numbers memorized as players for over 10 years? The early games had you manually dial these numbers to call for hints. I literally do have those two numbers memorized! (Plus, their numbers spell out HELP and CLUE on the phone keypad.) #26... Yes, it does matter what friend to play as. Bess doesn't have the ability to get Alexei's alibi, only Bess can sweet talk with Toni, and only Ned can extract information from Deirdre... but 100% agree George is useless. #88... Could also mean Toni's sister married a Bennington
Conclusion: Everyone in Nancy's hometown is a jerk who turn on each other with the slightest provocation, and are more than happy to ruin someone's life to take the easy was out Michael's right, this *is* why Nancy never stays home for long
As a former news employee, having broadcasts at 11 is very common, but it’s the later time slot. There are usually 2 throughout the night. Also there had to be a tape (or in modern days someone having it set to play on their computer) because only the intro and outro of the story is live. Everything else has been edited.
Mabel Rose’s is apparently an auto mechanic franchise. I think it was in Twister when Chase gives Nancy the estimate from the mechanic that it says Mabel Rose’s at the top. This is way different than what I thought it originally was, which was a ballet studio.
Extra sins: 1). How is Nancy able to receive a care package from Hannah? She's in jail, not summer camp or boarding school. I doubt the police would have even accepted it from Hannah to begin with. 2). Brenda's "reasoning" to the other characters as to why Nancy is guilty ("Then why is she in jail????") is extremely illogical, ignorant, and childish. It sounds more like something Dierdre would say. 3). Why do Brenda and her alleged cameraman (who we never see) leave the van in front of Alexei's shop when they follow up on tips instead of using to get to where the tips were reported? How do they get there? Wouldn't they want to drive to get to the story as quickly as possible? And how do they carry all their equipment with them? It all seems so unnecessary when everything is right there in the van, especially because you'd assume they want to get to their destination as quickly as possible. 4). And, lastly, why is Togo at George's house with George's mom if George is at Nancy's house? It would be a lot easier for everyone and a lot less stressful for the dog if they let him stay in his own home, which he's used to. He's probably scared enough without Carson, Nancy, or Hannah there with him.
My explanation for why Togo isn't at Nancy's house and why Ned doesn't physically appear in this game: the animation department didn't get high enough of a budget.
It could be because George can (depending on how you play) step out of the house a lot to help Nancy with the case. However, that just raises the question of why George is house-sitting when she could be constantly leaving. That's an extra extra sin.
Regarding why Brenda doesn't use the van to follow up on tips "as quickly as possible", recall that the game claims River Heights has really bad traffic. Therefore, using her van would _not_ get her places as quickly as possible compared to the tunnels she's been using. (Which means the real question is, why would she EVER use the van? I can't imagine there ever being a time when a reporter _wouldn't_ want to get to the site of a breaking story as quickly as possible, and if the tunnels get her places faster than the van...)
Actually, in the books, Ned lives in a different town- i forget where- so that's probably the case here too. i think it might be mentioned in Silent Spy.
5: The doorknob was jammed since the it's the old Town Hall and maintenance of it would unlikely. The captive motive was to frame Nancy not to kill her. Nancy being stuck there was simply bad luck. Besides if the door was really locked. Nancy would have said the traditional "It's locked."
I have been haunted by this question since I first played this game. So Alexei’s life was ruined when he was 20 and the whole Bennington-magnifying glass thing went down, right? And Carson Drew was his prosecutor so Carson must have been at least 25 then to have finished law school. But the time capsule has been sealed for 50 years, right? So is Carson like a 75-year-old with an 18-year old daughter? I’m so confused by how this timeline is supposed to work. I know characters don’t really age in the games but come on, surely they could’ve made a less egregious math error within this one game. Am I wrong about this? Am I missing something?
Alec Nickell I don’t know for sure that he was 25, but if Carson was prosecuting the case, he must have finished both undergrad (typically 4 years) and law school (3), putting him at about that age if he started college at 18.
This is a good question. On the bright side, though, his voice makes it sound like he's quite a bit younger than 75. I don't think HeR went through the math beforehand.
Someone finally admits that the River Heights characters are unbearable! Toni is a snake, Brenda is a straight up *bleeps*, Alexei is aggressive, and Chief McGinnis is stubborn. Deidre is the one who is lowkey tolerable to me. Despite Midnight in Salem being the worst installment, Deirdre slowly grew on me in there.
Alexei is kind of an aggressive jerk, but I can at least understand why. I mean, if you were sent to prison on false charges and your girlfriend left you wouldn’t you be at least a little bit upset? As for the others, they have no excuse. They’re all annoying at best and malicious at worst.

Or an ancestor she was named after
@@elsie8757 Yes I don't get it either how Nancy has been able to stay 18 since 1930 and it's 2022 and as far as I know of She is still 18
Why do we never get to see Ned?
Lol these are funny
20. Or there could be multiple police officers. Nancy is being charge with arson of property of a landmark (Town Hall) which is a felony. People with felonies are considered dangerous and require more than one police officer to detain the charged person.
9:20 - her sibling’s husband 🤔
as a child from a country which is also a city, i never understood american towns in media (river heights, silent hill, springfield, etc) and i still dont lmao (i cant even comprehend living a big country, yoy can travel east to west in an hour here lol)

That's not a type that the jammer Brenda throws down ...
But nancy Drew 24 doesn't have a fire puzzle
Toni's Sister's husband would be her brother-in-law.
It doesn't have to be her husband's/wife's brother.
26. So someone can play as the characters they like.
Then those people would be disappointed, since each character plays practically identically
@@elsie8757 Yes which feels like a cheap copout by Her Interactive why not just have it being One of Nancy's Friends?
25. Why is it wrong for someone to memorize her closest best friends and her father's number?
Probably because Nancy normally has those numbers stored on her cell phone, so it's less likely that she would have to think about them enough to remember them off the top of her head. I personally don't have my dad's cell number completely memorized.
Tonis brother in law could be het sisters husband
23. Wrong. You are allowed to make multiple phone calls. The whole one phone call is a urban myth.
Ned could just live in a nearby town. (4:13)
Actually the police can use evidence that someone else have obtained illegally.
😂😂
#LifeInANutshell!
16. It makes her a jerk but Brenda makes a very good point.
