I’ve bought a buffer...delay....and many many components from musikding and I’ve never been so happy.....they managed to find some old nkt275 for my fuzz project....I’ve been waiting but at least they did it!!!! I’m looking to buy one of those tube pedal and change some components for have a bit more push in my Marshall dsl40c without crank it.....do they work well on 9v power???or I suppose to run them on 12v????
    Thanks in advance

Hey, welcome and great to have you here :)
Inside the tube driver there is a voltage multiplier for the 100V for the tube and a 7806 for the heaters in the tube. So it requires 9v, but around 470mA !!! Have a good power supply ready...
Running it on 12v would require some changes, and i think its not necessary. What we show here in the video is only like 3/4 of the gain, if its higher it nearly gets fuzzy! So i think regarding gain/drive and volume you will be more than happy. I can't image a situation where more would be needed.
Only think i could think of improving is the fact that the bass has to be at 3/4 to be on the same level as the dry, which the treble is not doing.
Try several tubes, they make a huge diffrence!
      Kind regards,
      Marcus from Pedal Syndicate

Well i use a really cheap Rockboard Power Ace 9V, as long as its only one pedal it was great so far.

Did you use a 12AX7/ECC83 tube or something else?

Nice to have you as our first fan!
It is a quite easy build, the most complicated is getting the tube bias right and to get the right hight of the protection bar.
The rest is spraycan and toner transfer with silicon paper :)
You can order the kit @ diy.thcustom.com, there you have to buy the components on your own.
On the german site you can get the whole complete kit, including enclousure: "www.musikding.de/Tube-Driver-Bausatz"

Pedal Syndicate I would imagine! I haven't built any DIY units myself, but I've got a buddy who does. Tubes seem like a whole different game than maybe like a FF circuit or whatever.
And I'm glad to be the first! I'm so big on creating a sense of community and trying to balance out some of the negativity and so forth that UA-cam is regrettably kind of known for.

In this case its not more complicated than a normal pcb, the whole thing is on one pcb, even the high voltage for the tube. So all to do is solder components and the cables to the jacks. You should get one, i really like it, even on the bass (thats the upcoming video).
Well, yeah - welcome to the internet. Whats a good channels without haters? ;)

Pedal Syndicate ha ha. Hard to find, right? Check out Pedal Partners as a start. Honestly, I've gotta say I've found quite a bunch. All the people who have commented on my videos are ultra supportive and gracious. Check some of them out!
Can't wait to hear this on bass. Love a pedal that can pull double-duty!
