This video is made just for fun, there is no relationship with the company Musikding (beyond having sold me the materials).
The audio was recorded with a Fender Stratocaster with Gilmour pickups, with all the pedals plugged to the input of a Friedman Pink Taco with a 4x12 cab by Laney. The mics were an E906 and an SM7B, and the sound card was an RME Fireface UCX.
The opening song is Illumination by Jonathan Wilson. The chords too.
    Thanks for watching ;)

I'd stop using those solid connector if I were you. The put mechanical stress on the jacks and might break them. Especially bad if the jacks are board-mounted. Use patch cords

    They sound good!
Do these clones sound like the originals?
Could you make another vid with more playing and in depth- demonstration of each pedal? Thank you.

      Thanks dude!
I would say that they do sound like the originals or very close. I have done blind tests with the original tubescreamer and the musikding's clone and I am not able to tell them apart by ear. Maybe someone more advanced can...
I will try to make some more videos ;)

Have you tried the compressor first in the chain to see how it changes the sound and response of the TS-9, DS-1 and Muff? It this the line up after trials and tests?

Yes, I have done those tests and I liked it better that way. But it is a matter of taste, I have used for many years the compressor at the beginning of the chain, but lately I like more to compress the output of the distortions. So I decided to mount these pedals each in a box, to be able to change their place, because the original idea was to mount the 8 inside a large box. In any case, I did not find a large box appropriate either haha.

Nice demo! Beginning with the BrownEye (dist/od) from Musikding, kind of Boss DS1 but with a little more "organic" sound.
I think the virus of DIY is here to stay with pedals! (edit= a compressor is ordered! ;-) ...to be continued! ^^ )

Musikding Browneye is a clone of Friedman BE-OD.

    Where do you find instructions

    • @canionrecords
      @canionrecords  4 місяці тому +1

The instructions for each pedal are on the musikding website, in the downloadable documentation for each model. You don't need to know much, in the end it's like a Lego but with the added risk of the soldering iron😄

the sound quality is aweful on my headphones, sorry! I'm troubleshooting my pc setup right now because of this video... back. nope, it's the video not my setup. it sounds like there is a phasing going on between both of my ears and it's crushing me right now in a bad way.
I love that you did this effort big time, though!
Edit: I found my error and i revoke my comment about the sound! Still love your effort! Cheers!
