Yes, Your Grace is a management game about ruling a kingdom. It focuses around the player character, King Eryk of Davern, and rests heavily on binary choices about how to respond to various events in their Kingdom. Gameplay is organized into weekly rounds, with events presented as from visitors to their royal court. The player must manage money and supplies, while also managing the military, and a limited number of generals, witches and hunters.

Kevin remembering the story about the two mothers claiming the baby, remembering the solution was to offer to cut the baby in half, and then saying it was irrelevant was quite the disappointment.

Love how Kevin failed to realize that his 300 people on those walls killed over 4,000 people
Right? He was going "This isnt looking good" meanwhile his men killed like 2000 people at that point and lost like 8.
accurate to medieval strategies too. even if you have significantly fewer people fighting than the other side, your odds are a lot better if you're defending from a castle.
@@hinasakukimi I remember a dutch story of a castle IJsselstein. Someone tried to take it by force with an army much greater that the one in the castle, but day after day he was unsuccessful, the battle took an entire year and by the time the castle was finally conquered they saw there were only about 6 people left that had been defending the castle the last few weeks.

It’s so funny seeing how differently Kevin and RT play this game. RT was a benevolent and logical leader who was kind to his daughters and had the love of his people and Kevin…. Kevin isn’t.

Kevin is just being Kevin and somehow that worked out for the best. Well, for his best at least, eveyone else that make it this far with him on the driving seat can count themselves lucky.

I like how RT spared almost everyone but killed Ivo in the end, and Kevin killed everybody BUT Ivo.
Kevin only spared Ivo because he wanted to lock him in his basement instead. =P
To be fair, to a prince, bring in a dungeon is worst than death in every way possible. He doesn't get a Nobel death by a sword, and he'd likely be tortured for the rest of his life if this was in our world. Not to mention it's a huge flex to have a former king/prince in your dungeon

It's like when he actually does take the gun to school. Many make bad choices but some still survive. Kevin is just especially lucky that he is almost always in that "some"-group.

As a Pole it was quite intetesting to watch. At first I saw kinda polish-sounding name of the villages, so it was kinda sus, but when the bear make an entrance and it turned out that his name is Wojtek i lost it. Great video!
I was thinking the names sounded polish, but then heard the song at 21:25 and it pretty much confirmed it. Beautiful song btw.

27:15 Wojtek was the name of a real bear who was a part of the Polish Army during WWII and carried ammunition to artillery troops after watching other men do it. He also caught an infiltrator in the base showers.
Bruh I saw people actually wanting to better the kingdom since the start of the game and yet you got a better ending than most them by only actually trying on the endgame
The thing is, since he spent most of the game focusing just on himself and his treasury, he ended up having a considerably higher income than a king that was benevolent from the start would have.

After seeing you play it from the full release, I was so curious about the story that I watched a full Playthrough with no commentary and the ending was so spectacular! I really hope Kevin makes it to the end so he can see how it all wraps up.

Wojtek was an orphaned Syrian brown bear taken in by Polish soldiers. He lived with the soldiers, regularly wrestling with them, and would eat lit cigarettes, drink beer, and carry ammunition during battles. He earned the rank of corporal in the Polish army during the battle of Italy in WWII. He was brought home after the war and cared for into his old age. The whole story is heartwarming. He received several awards for his bravery and there's still a statue of him in Krakow.

Kevin, I've just realized what a brilliant marketer you are. The whole point of playthroughs is to get more people to buy the game. If you played it in a reasonable and effective manner, no one would need to play the game. But after watching you play as an absolute maniac, we all want to get the game and play like rational human beings. Brilliant! No wonder you are so successful!

I was waiting for the second part of this but I wish it wasn't over. They really did a great job with this game, I remember the demo video but I didn't know it was just a demo at the time. I'd be interested in seeing different choices and outcomes should you ever feel like revisiting it again.

I love how Kevin never waits for us to answer how's it going before cutting us off to tell us about his day like the caring partner we all need, but don't deserve.

Kevin shows what I think is the biggest problem I have with this game: It pretends like your choices matter and that this is some kind of choice driven strategy game, but choices hardly matter. It is just a story game with a few branching paths and all the army gathering stuff etc is just time wasting fluff. It is a decent-ish story, but I couldn't help but feel kinda cheated after finishing it.
Gotta admit, I was waiting for the, "you shoulda did this or you would've survived ending."
Kevin, you're video is great, but the game is what kept me on the edge of my seat.

Your son-in-law would have gotten your kingdom when you died, not because you are a lesser king under his rule, but because he married your oldest daughter and you have no male heir. That's why he wanted to marry your daughter and tried to poison you. It's an awesome game but from the happy funny stuff happening in the first bit of the game, I didn't expect the story to go dark so fast. I really loved it though, the story had me hooked and I got really invested in the characters. They announced a sequel as well!!!

I bought a battery replacement for my Gameboy and managed to get back to Tolbi before I forgot the rest of the game. I can’t believe you missed out some of the best bits of the game like when you have to choose between your wife or son because of your choices I didn’t even know you could have a daughter instead 🤣
Why bother having a son, his third daughter is already the perfect heir! She saved her dad just because she was looking for a snail, still love and supports him even after he gave away his two sisters, didn't even cry when her pet and sister were horribly killed by Ivo and she managed to domesticate a frigging bear! She already has an insane amount of luck, resolve and charisma.
