Killer Frequency is a 2023 horror-adventure game developed and published by Team17. The game takes place in a small town in 1987, where players control a DJ who acts as an impromptu radio dispatcher when a serial killer returns to terrorize the town's residents. The player must take calls from the survivors and solve various puzzles to help them escape the killer. It received mostly positive reviews from critics, who praised its gameplay and comedy horror elements.

@@Bodek-756 Its cause halfway though he randomly started actually trying to save them instead of actively trying to kill them. Thats the beauty of Kevins playthough, you never know when hes gonna kill everyone and when hes gonna try to save someone. Of course, that latter usually means the mayority still dies and he spares a select, lucky few. But still, its nice to see him try, as its nice to see him fail spectaculary.

A real triple threat: a DJ, a 911 operator, AND he's Call Me Kevin. A terrifying combination.
Its quite the unique combination too. In the way that its both the perfect job for Kevin (being a dj fits him like a glove) and the worst posible one. We have seem him being 911 operator before and it didnt go well for anyone involved. If anything, this combo make him into more of a profesional, weird as that sounds.
can't wait for the 2nd playthrough where he tries to get everyone killed and ends up being the 1st person to unlock the secret 110% ending
You literally have to save everyone and kill everyone in two playthroughs for all the trophies :)

@@thedalek7974 honestly I barely understand it myself but I’ll try to explain it but I’m not 100% sure it’s correct. So like many years ago some friends were hanging out and they decided to do a prank by pretending to be a murderer, the whistling man. So teddy dressed up and pretended to stab one of them and he pretended to die and then one boy got scared and ran away. But then he ended up falling and dying. So the boy’s girlfriend was there, dawn/Marie and she was pregnant with their kid. She thought teddy pushed her boyfriend and killed him. Now because teddy was running to become mayor he hired someone to cover it all up so it looked like an accident and to make it look like he had nothing to do with it. Now Marie was out for revenge so her and her son were killing all the people who were involved in the prank that got her boyfriend killed.

I cant tell if youre joking or thats a real thing. Either way, it really doesnt seem that hard to kill everyone, not sure if the game allows that though. Like, would it even be winnable?
DJ Kevo is already used to think (and occasionally act) like a murderer, so he’s the perfect guy to lead this investigation. The Whistling Man won’t stand a chance.
My god the protagonist character really just doesnt care the majority of the time even without kevin getting people killed xD
One of those games that seems writen with Kevin in mind, cause it would change nothing if he were to switch places with the protagonist. Theyre of a kind, you could even say Forest is how Kevin would be like if he were a radio anouncer.

This surely is a murder mystery cause it's actually hard to pay attention to anything besides Kevin's usual shenanigans and all the noise chaos, 10/10 multitasking

I don't know if I've seen a main character so in tune with Kevin. The number of times Kevin responded to something and then a dialog choice popped up saying the same thing was hilarious!
Watching Kevin struggle at multitasking is 90% of the channel and I love it so much. Also nice haircut!

"I skipped the tutorial" in a 60 min Kevin video promises something really wholesome, if a little bit strange and chaotic
I couldn't breathe from laughing so hard when Kevin told her to hit the steering wheel with the hammer and the horn went off 🤣
This played out like a great campy horror movie. Kevin was the perfect "actor" for this. 7 out of Kevin is my rating.
Yeah, if one were to think of the game like an horror comedy, Forests (a protagonist who couldnt be more in tune with Kevins mindset) behavior does becomes more comedic and less sociopathic. Then again, one and the other arent really mutually exclusive anyways.
It's honestly kind of cool to see how the vibes change depending on what medium you're using to tell the story (game vs film). This game made me realize how much I miss these sorts of camp horror movie vibes. It would be nice to see more campy games like this made.

This game kind of reminds me of a book that I have read by Giorgio Faletti- "io uccido" (I kill). A radio DJ receives a call one night from someone who says that they are a killer. Later a body is found but no one makes the connection at first because the call was written off as a joke. But when new calls from this mysterious person come in and more bodies turn up, the pattern starts to appear and the hunt for the radio-killer is on. The book is quite interesting- can recommend it 👍

To be fair Markiplier for example played The Forest super seriously and it took a long time for him to finish the game. Kevin absolutely didn't play it seriously but still managed to stumble across all the things he was supposed to and due to his chaotic mind, by choosing a horrible ending he got the best ending in the game.
My vote for a more "serious" playthrough is CJUGames - severely underrated YTer that plays a lot of horror games with the right balance of being thorough and taking the game seriously, while being gently humorous and very willing to laugh at ridiculous things. Not shouty by nature either, nice voice, and after a while you'll never look at a toilet - or a lighthouse - in the same way again 😊
I saw this, stopped halfway through Eugene and played it through with a friend. It is EASILY one of the best games Ive played in recent memory and I CANNOT stress how much I would recommend it. The mystery itself is awesome
Fun fact, if you kept listening to the end you would hear Marie die the same way George did, backing away and when they reached out to save her she fell off that same cliff

Sounds a bit like a game adaptation of the 90s tv show “Midnight Caller”. Not something I ever expected to see.
I love Kevin’s play style but I wanted to see how this was actually meant to be played so bad
Then just play it yourself. That's the beauty of Kevin, he shows you the game but doesn't ruin it for you so if you are actually interested in the game you can give it your own try
