So like many years ago some friends were hanging out and they decided to do a prank by pretending to be a murderer, the whistling man. So teddy dressed up and pretended to stab one of them and he pretended to die and then one boy got scared and ran away. But then he ended up falling and dying. So the boy’s girlfriend was there, dawn/Marie and she was pregnant with their kid. She thought teddy pushed her boyfriend and killed him. Now because teddy was running to become mayor he hired someone to cover it all up so it looked like an accident and to make it look like he had nothing to do with it. Now Marie was out for revenge so her and her son were killing all the people who were involved in the prank that got her boyfriend killed.
I cant tell if youre joking or thats a real thing. Either way, it really doesnt seem that hard to kill everyone, not sure if the game allows that though. Like, would it even be winnable?
One of those games that seems writen with Kevin in mind, cause it would change nothing if he were to switch places with the protagonist. Theyre of a kind, you could even say Forest is how Kevin would be like if he were a radio anouncer.
I don't know if I've seen a main character so in tune with Kevin. The number of times Kevin responded to something and then a dialog choice popped up saying the same thing was hilarious!

It's honestly kind of cool to see how the vibes change depending on what medium you're using to tell the story (game vs film). This game made me realize how much I miss these sorts of camp horror movie vibes. It would be nice to see more campy games like this made.

I saw this, stopped halfway through Eugene and played it through with a friend. It is EASILY one of the best games Ive played in recent memory and I CANNOT stress how much I would recommend it. The mystery itself is awesome

To be fair Markiplier for example played The Forest super seriously and it took a long time for him to finish the game. Kevin absolutely didn't play it seriously but still managed to stumble across all the things he was supposed to and due to his chaotic mind, by choosing a horrible ending he got the best ending in the game.
My vote for a more "serious" playthrough is CJUGames - severely underrated YTer that plays a lot of horror games with the right balance of being thorough and taking the game seriously, while being gently humorous and very willing to laugh at ridiculous things. Not shouty by nature either, nice voice, and after a while you'll never look at a toilet - or a lighthouse - in the same way again 😊
This game actually seems so good, and Kevin's wacky antics made it all the more, felt like I was watching a modern Scooby Doo, amazing as always Kev :)
