- In this video, I discuss my gear loadout for a day-hike using my U.S. Army surplus 3-Day MOLLE Assault Pack. Are you looking for gear options for a day-hike that you can use in your pack? On this day-hike, I used the U.S. Army surplus 3-Day MOLLE Assault Pack to see if this is a viable backpack for a day-hike. Equally important, I wanted to understand what can be carried in these packs. I was surprised to learn that these packs can carry all of your gear needs for both emergency survival and hiking enjoyment.
I also learned that the U.S. Army Surplus 3-day MOLLE Assault Pack are great backpacks for day-hikes. You can still get them in the following colors schemes: Woodland Camouflage, Desert Camouflage, ACU Foliage Green Camouflage, and Multicam (OCP) Camouflage. You can purchase these packs on eBay or at your local military surplus store.

Thanks for sharing your loadout . I have this pack attatched to the rear rack on my KLX 250 with stainless steel hose clamps with a molle waist pack on each side . It really is good quality for a reasonable price . Happy Trails !
Thanks. I appreciate your comments. Glad you enjoyed the video. :)
Hello mi friend, nice layout. An a nice looking rucksack, keep positive an keep pushing forward 👍🇬🇧💪🇺🇸
Good video
Good stuff, thanks for sharing. Look for a molle waist pack to attach underneath for extra storage.
Thanks for the tip on the tape.
Nice set up bro. Thanks for all the great idea!! Im getting a 3 day for mine exploring.
Awesome great job man!
Good stuff man
Thanks! 😊
Great setup. Very similar to the standard CAF day bag loadout.
ALWAYS have hard copies unless you’re that good.
Probably not of much use to you, but in the front compartment, there should be two snap rivets at the top of the pocket that you use to attach the ammo bandolier to. Unless you decide to use the ammo bandolier as a kind of rip away IFAK.
I know it's not your fault because a lot of shops online call it a 3 day pack, it is just an assault pack. 3 day packs are bigger. There was a nostalgia to them so I had to get one when I got out of the army. Not the most comfy but oddly I like them.
Thanks.
they make a smaller pack, this is the larger one
@@wolffo999 and it's not a 3 day.
@@ivantoxie so youre just saying the name is wrong? you WIN dude 😂
Great video brother nice setup
Thanks for the visit. Glad that you enjoyed the video. :)
I guess the pack is a "do-it-all"approach when it comes to? been looking for a relatively "less heavy" pack when it comes to more simple approach to the forest stuff here.
Poncho, but no woobie??? Sacrilege!!!!
And the MRE?
