Thanks for sharing your loadout . I have this pack attatched to the rear rack on my KLX 250 with stainless steel hose clamps with a molle waist pack on each side . It really is good quality for a reasonable price . Happy Trails !

cool video. surprised u dont have more views.... but i know that just means youre not shilling lol. something between the double price Hercules model is the fact that it doesnt have a "laptop" pocket. as someone who has been going to college for the past 11+ years, i have felt the need to carry some kind of NIJ rated square plate because of the dumb politics in the US with what i cant have on campus despite a cpl. so imo, the laptop pocket is just as good for a UHMWPE level 3 plate which will stop greentip, especially with a laptop/other stuff in it. i can tell you the extra weight of a 11lb level 3 plate with a 5lb laptop (so around ~20-30lbs total) will wear a regular backpack out in about 4 years of daily use. with me getting close to starting residency in a hospital i like the idea of the tape measure rivited clip thing being in a place that is close to the 2 large pocket zippers because i could possibly fit a cable lock between all 3. lot of stuff seems to grow legs and "walk away" in the surgery locker rooms and the ER/floor nursing station. thanks for uploading this fair review homie

Good stuff, thanks for sharing. Look for a molle waist pack to attach underneath for extra storage.

I know it's not your fault because a lot of shops online call it a 3 day pack, it is just an assault pack. 3 day packs are bigger. There was a nostalgia to them so I had to get one when I got out of the army. Not the most comfy but oddly I like them.

Probably not of much use to you, but in the front compartment, there should be two snap rivets at the top of the pocket that you use to attach the ammo bandolier to. Unless you decide to use the ammo bandolier as a kind of rip away IFAK.

Great setup. Very similar to the standard CAF day bag loadout.

I guess the pack is a "do-it-all"approach when it comes to? been looking for a relatively "less heavy" pack when it comes to more simple approach to the forest stuff here.

Happy Saturday Bill, Major Hykr, I have Liked your video and subscribed to your channel, I am Subscriber #5 , good luck in growing your channel, onward to 1K subscribers! I am a lifelong SAK aficionado ever since I was a schoolboy in London, England, ( I no longer live in the UK ) I always had a small SAK, usually a 58mm one on my key chain & often a 2nd larger one such as a 84mm Bantam in my other pocket. ( I still have a 40 + years old economy model Bantam which like your old Spartan had no tweezer or toothpick in the scales, its been retired for years but I recently replaced its worn & cracked red scales with the Swiss Cross logo long ago worn off, with brand new black scales, this time with tweezers & toothpick, cleaned oiled & sharpened it & it looks better now than it was new! ) I don't carry a Spartan for EDC but have several collectable ones with decorative scales as for me the Spartan is too basic a knife. This is my current EDC which consists of 2 carry knives. My default keyring knife for the last 3 years is the 58mm Midnite Manager which adds an LED & pen to its tools. My 2nd & larger knife consists of either a Gentleman's knife or a multi-tool SAK depending on my plans / needs that day. My Gentleman's knife rotation consists of the 111mm Garant, a 93mm Pioneer variant - Pioneer, Pioneer X or Farmer X and lastly the 84mm Cadet. I rotate my choice frequently & when I need a multi-tool I forgo the Gentleman's knife & my preferred carry is then a 91mm Huntsman. I have 6, one is a collectable, one a Silvertech model & 4 are modified with different colored Plus scales ( with a pen ), each fitted with a Firefly ferro rod in place of the toothpick, a tinder spiral on the corkscrew held in place by a mini-screwdriver & all 4 are fitted with the SwissQlip for convenient pocket carry. My alternate multi-tool carries are the 85mm Evolution EvoGrip S17 , basically a smaller versions of the Huntsman with the same tools plus a safety lock blade. I have decked it out with Firefly ferro rod, tinder spiral & mini-screwdriver. Because of its contoured grips it cant be fitted with a SwissQlip but it fits snuggly into the ticket/coin pocket of my Jeans and lastly the 91mm Climber, I have 4 of them also modified with Plus scales & all the other additions I have on my Huntsman including the pocket clip. The Climber is IMO the ideal Urban EDC knife, its basically the Spartan with the addition of scissors & until 3 years ago it was my Go To multi-tool SAK till I decided that a wood saw was a useful addition not just for cutting wood / branches but all manner of other materials, plastic, very thick rope & very thick carboard so the Huntsman became my preferred multi-tool carry for both urban & outdoor carry. I believe only in pocket carry EDC & so apart from a metallic Casio digital watch I carry a good leather wallet with credit cards, cash, a few plasters, post it notes & sometimes a mini-sewing kit in my wallet, a small flipper model mobile that fits easily in my back pocket & some Kleenex tissues. My daily flashlight & pen needs are covered in the Midnite Manager on my key chain & so I will only carry an additional mini-flashlight if I am going out late at night.
