I would love to learn more about the process and some of the techincal parts that was cover in the early part of the video using gemerty nodes to pull data from a last.

Fantastic project! Just what I was looking for.
You should add a feedback link to your web page. There is a minor typo on it “Use 2 saddlery needles and a thick, preferably waxed thread to coplete your running shoe.” “coplete” should probably be “complete”.

I started making the shoes using your files. Like others have pointed out as well, I would like to learn more how you create the model files, like the flattening the cloth pieces so that you can laser cut them. For example, if I would like to tweak the design, so that the shoes would be more custom fit for my feet, how would I go about making these changes in a Blender file, and the produce new files for CNC routing and laser cutting? A discussion forum would be really nice.

I converted the files in Blender and began editing them myself with the sculpting tools. To make a left, duplicate and mirror the model. I had to flip the normals. Export the edited files to .STL in Blender afterwards.

It would be nice to see more publicity about the footwear project. I would like to see a video of the footwear made from start to finish. Also, I enjoyed the video the first time I watched it, but my comment did not take hold.
