A rōnin (浪人?) was a samurai with no lord or master during the feudal period (1185-1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the death or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master's favor or privilege.

Ah, I see me in the clip at 4:36. That was a great LTS match, double Ronin was crazy!
Oh man we put in some serious work with double Ronin. That combination felt so. . . visceral.
I love this games multiplayer because when you play matches versus other players, you gain a certain play style and you get better with that or those titans, but when you go into Frontier defense, it's like a whole other play style entirely, at least for me it was. I tried playing ronin, my main, in Frontier and when I used my pvp play style there I got demolished, as well as when I used my play style from Frontier in pvp I got demolished there as well, it's interesting to be able to find multiple ways to play on one titan.

I use phase reflex and nuclear eject but as you said you it as a middle finger. I still play cautiously with Ronin and pick my battles as his health can get chewed through so easily. Thanks for the tips
Yup. The kamikaze is fun but when it doesn't work it's a 100% waste.
Off of my online experience, there are only two playstyles for a Ronin: Sneak around and steal termination melee hits on titans doomed by the rest of your team to statpad, OR just use your titan as a glorified killstreak by abusing nuclear eject and just crashing yourself into enemy titans and waiting for them to doom you.

You can avoid death from clipping into another titan by having your sword block out.

Quick Tip: Blocking as you Phase Dash prevents the collision death as you come out of your phase.
Nervara you don't need temporal anomaly to do this.
Very informational. I wish I could be good with this titan, or any titan....or titanfall 2 in general. But I just can't keep up.
Ha yeah its a tough game. Only reason I'm decent at it is because I've put in 200+ hours at this point but even with all that time, I still get my ass kicked ;p
kinda strange...when you phase shift into an enemy pilot the pilot dies...but if you phase dash as ronin into an enemy titan you die :/
I know right? I get why it doesn't blow up the enemy titan (because that would make peoples heads explode with rage) but I wish it just bounced you back (the way it does when block is raised).
I did not know that arcwave can negate the particle shield of tone, thanks for that now we have a counter for them atleast. small steps.
Ha yeah Arc wave is a huge deal! Taking off the enemy shields in one shot is devastating.
one more thing about the phase shift on doom, you cannot be one-shotted, you will survive a nuclear ejection at point blank, this really allows you to go balls deep and end with a bang
That's a really good point.
Funny thing with Ronin is that almost every kit has a specific combo with a generic titan kit: Highlander+overcore, Phase reflex+nuclear, Phase dash+extra dash and thunderstorm+enhanced chip (for better pilot+titan sandwiching attacks)
Yeah his kits feel really good when combo'ed together certain ways. With some of the other titans I find myself not switching the Basic Kit as often as I do with Ronin.

my go to with ronin is extra elecric smokes and two arc waves so I can get mad combo's but try out your auto oh shit/nuclear ejection and see how that goes

i used to play Ronin with phase reflex + nuke combo
or as i like to call it "Phase bomb", got some good kills with it before i switch to Thunderbolt + overcore

Remember the tip I told you. Use block when you phase shift if you think your going into a enemy titan because it won't kill you but it will hurt you and you'll clip with them. so basically what I'm saying is use protection when your going deep into someone.

The struggle is real.
I like ronins playstyle, fast and specialized. However he is too fragile for me, is there another Titan i should use, or am I just playing him wrong.

I play him with Battery Backup 99% of the time which adds a nice chunk of health and in LTS I usually rush for a battery at the start. It makes him a lot more durable. Ronin with a full shield has the same health as the medium titans.

Two Weeks after the Game was released i had a Game were a Roninplayer was sure hacking. He went into Phase Dash five times in a row. My first impresion was the Kit were it charge faster but after i try it oit by myself i was sure this was a Hacker or Glitcher or something like this. Did you have seen someting like this in the past maybe in TF1 with normal dashes?

Who ever uses nuke eject is a player who cant win a titan fight and after they eject still try to get the scummy kill
Acon lol I destroyed 3 Titans when I used it. I do win Titan fights but when I know I'm going to die I run towards the Titans and I use it and boom they are all gone.
