I do not doubt you, but the G is my only daily paper and I did not see that, and hope it was a passing mistake. As you may know, the G is crowd funded from all over the world now, not in debt to any corporations, and really seem to try and be fair. They have broken many of the most important stories of the last few years, and I love the rest of the paper as well.

This is a hit piece plain and simple. Not to mention the ridiculous claims made by this politician in the article, like that Bernie hates immigrant, that went completely unchecked and unrefuted. There are so many true and important stories to report just before the Iowa caucus and they deliberately chose this as a top story. It's astonishing.

Yes, you must stop the Superdelegates from installing a Democratic Candidate who is Hillary 2.0.
There's actually pushback on that. Many of the ones who originally fought against the rule change, aren't as willing to reverse it & admit "Hey we lost, changing the rules back is not only bad sportsmanship, it will break any unity we need to achieve against our opponent in 2020" [paraphrased]. Also, Tom Perez is adamantly against it, which I found surprising since he's stacking the DNC council with establishment cronies. My guess is they want to stealthily undermine Bernie, not do it outright where it would damage the voter confidence of the DNC (aka they'd lose committee funding from voters in a heartbeat).
I just had a paranoid thought. The Repiblicans are afraid of Bernie and they know the Democrats hate them. So they lay off Bernie, making the DNC ask: "Why are the Republicans not attacking Bernie? Do they actually approve of his policies? We mustn't vote for Bernie even if he wins enough delegates." That will enrage the Bernie Supporters, who will refuse to support the Democratic Nominee. That nominee will be defeated like Hillary because the enraged Bernie supporters will stay home in November. And Trump wins again.

@showlogicprod He wants to give free medical to every single person that walks across our borders. He wants to give free schooling from 1st grade to college doctorate to anyone that decides to come to america.
People have looked at what it would cost just to do what he wants to Americans, and that alone is 45 trillion and that is without any other government program. Add what it will cost when millions of south american come here for free health care and such and there is no ceiling.
Now add what he wants to do because of climate change. He said he would outlaw internal combustion engines and that would require changing everything to electric. Where is that kind of support structure going to come from?
Lets look at my situation. I am a disabled veteran that has to go to the va 2 times a week. Its a 11 mile trip one way, and there are no buses in the country. So how do I get medical needs met? I have to use a car and he is going to make them illegal.
So you will say people that live in the country have to move to towns so that they can take buses? A large portion of the people have to live in the countries or where there are not buses.
But lets look at changing all the buses in one city, Houston, to electric. Houston has 114 buses, and if they have to switch over to electric, that 750000 per bus. Thats 85 MILLION dollars just for the buses and I don't know if they could trade one electric bus for one diesel fueled bus and get the same use. Add that they would have to switch over to having new electric lines just to recharge them and that will take years and millions of dollars just for that. Thats ONE city in america.
It would take easily 100 Billion just to switch the buses to electric as he says he would do and that is just to handle current bus uses. Make cars illegal and you will easily need 10 times that much. What makes it worse is that because of bus schedules you would lose a large part of your day just trying to get to work. This means that people would lose the ability to have a decent part of their day doing things they enjoy.
Now add that he wants to get rid of nuclear and have us using solar and wind and how much that would cost. 100 trillion is a guess but its a conservative guess when you have to add everything he has promised.
Our entire budget is only 4.8 Trillion and that is adding .9 trillion to the deficit. Now you want to add another 1.5 trillion per year for students around the world?
Right now our national debt is 22.3 Trillion and there is no way you can add all the things he wants without doubling it.
Bernie will not be president. The country is not ready to put someone in the oval office that has all but declared that the constitution is dead.

You can't vote them out, you can't influence what they do with their money. At best they are unaccountable superheroes, at worst they are unaccountable supervillains. This is no way to run a democracy, this is already well into the path towards neofeudalism.

@@MichalisFamelis It's nobody's business to decide when a person should retire. Which is what you suggest by making claims such as "too rich". If you tell people that they can't have more than X amount you tell them that they should stop trying to improve the world after a certain point. That means that everybody else will be worse off, because the _total size of the cake_ will substantially slow down its growth, if not outright stop. There isn't a "finite amount of money" that we all have to fight over. The cake is always growing. The goal for humanity is to accelerate the growth, so we can defeat hunger, aging, disease, death, poverty. The goal is _not_ to slow down growth and hence ensure that more people will suffer and die than is necessary.
It's also untrue that rich people aren't accountable to anyone. Companies go belly up every day. Countless of very wealthy people not only lost everything, but even committed suicide. There is clearly and undeniably is accountability.
To give you another example. Take the animal product/meat industry. If there were no accountability then we'd have animal suffering for all eternity. However, as _only now_ humans are starting to prosper and not worry about _their survival_ they are also becoming more conscious about their choices, decisions and their implications. Which is why we now have a drastic market disruption and shift towards sustainable and ethical food and products. If billionaires weren't accountable and unstoppable this wouldn't be possible to happen.
Same story for the fossil fuel industry. Solar, hydrogen, wind, you name it. Once people wake up to nuclear fusion and start _risking their income to make it happen_ we won't just solve that issue, but people will also _profit_ off of their investment into the future of mankind. If you instead choose to fork CO2 taxes over to the government you not only will have less money, but you also won't reap the rewards for your contribution.
You'll just get fleeced and the profits will land in the pockets of those that claim to be for you, but in reality just use your lack of knowledge about the world to fleece you.
The only sensible democracy lies in capital markets, provided that people actually pay attention to "project humanity". Those that research the problems of humanity and understand where we should move will make profits and hence have more significant and leading votes in the future, because they've already proven that they know what is currently most needed to satisfy the collective needs, wants and demands of the people.
The bottom line is, do you want to pay attention and be rewarded for your attention?
Or do you want to be fleeced by career politicians without ever seeing a return on your involuntary investment?
I don't care too much either way, because I can play at a very high level in any game with any arbitrary set of rules. So to me this won't be very damaging.
Normal people however will be the ones footing the bill without ever being rewarded.
And I'd much rather have all of us contribute voluntarily and then _together_ reaping the rewards.
Politicians don't want you to share in our achievements, that's why they don't teach you about markets and make them seem inhumane, even though they embody the collective soul of mankind.

@onelove Most people would probably say that since I went and actually studied Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics.
But anyways, the EU tethers the lower class to the ground and erodes the middle class by taxing it out of existence.
Those that are ambitious enough to make the move to the upper class often leave for greener pastures (see Germany and brain drain for references).
For lower class people it's more sensible to just stay put at home and live a degrading life of dependence than to put in the effort of not just getting a job, but actually working it as well, only to end up with the same income due to sanctions, taxes and deductions.
For the middle class it's more sensible to leave, but since people are economically illiterate they don't even know that they're being scammed, used, and abused as human cattle.
But apparently that's alright as long as you use pleasant sounding rhetoric and couple it with fear-mongering.
Our income is so low that in the US, with the same job, you'd have more net disposable income (that is after taxes, insurance, rent and utilities) than you'd have in Germany _before_ rent and utilities.
This is the reason why the average American is _twice_ as wealthy as the average German.
This is the reason why venture capital doesn't care much for the EU, because risk and cost is too high and rewards too low. This is why our gross salaries and job opportunities are insulting and degrading.
This is why the US has the biggest Economy in the world, because everyone who put in the hours to learn how to build wealth and opportunities for themselves understands that the US is, while not perfect, the least hostile nation in the world to ambition and drive.
This is why _half_ of the biggest companies in the world were created by migrants to and in the US, and not in the EU.
Americans need to wake up and learn about their history. America was literally established to escape the tyranny of the perpetual "talking class" (politicians, bureaucrats, kings, etc) that spends its time making up excuses for why you should give up your rights, labour and money _to them._
If Bernie Sanders understood the world he would do one thing, and one thing only, to help the people.
He'd teach you about the reality of our world. He'd teach you that markets are the embodiment of the human spirit.
He'd teach you that by investing your income you too can become a millionaire (on minimum wage) or a multi-millionaire (on an average salary).
He'd teach you that by doing so you'd contribute to humanity instead of selfishly consuming everything you can.
He'd teach you that if people just follow this very simple piece of advise that within one, or at most two, generations poverty in the developed world would become a thing of history.
Numbers don't betray reality.
